    The East

The east side of the city is often considered the heart of Sacrosanct. It's here were the majority of the shopping district can be found, deep in the heart of downtown. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often times, new comers to the city may be come overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever present feeling that's hardly noticed. The streets of the east side are frequented by all species as many companies are housed in the sky scrapers and hole in the wall establishments that line the streets.

    Downtown

The city has a unique skyline, clashing between modern sky rises and small victorian storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however.

...walk away while you still can

You wont find what you have lost, love, you know that right? klaus's voice rings in my head. my vision slowly blurring over with tears to be. it burned but i felt good to let it all out again. i couldn't close myself like a clam forever and even if i tried. i would never be able to hold on long enough. because this kind of love wasn't go away so easily. i even think that i was dying each day without him, like the first time he had died. i had weakly abandoned him by wiping my memory. i had felt ok when id did but even with so much magic, i still felt like something was missing. that he had taken a part of me and run off. then like a prayer it was answered and i got them all back. each and every one of them, the good and the bad. it had hurt but it had felt like ecstasy to feel and to know why i felt. All those thoughts were now broken and falling apart, because he had just left. not even note waiting for me when i woke up, not from him or my friends. they were all just gone, without a word like i never existed. i knew deep down it was for my good, thinking i needed a normal life. but i didn't want this life if it meant stripping me of the people that made me who i was, they where part of me and it felt like my soul was being tore apart. links and pieces missing from my life's puzzle and it sucked.

my foot get caught in the sidewalk, bringing me back to reality and how it sucked. avoiding a fall i had swiftly regain my balance. like as if nothing had happened i continue my walk. looking for a place to sit down and just enjoy what ever this city had to offer. because she wasn't going to try to move on, she couldn't not yet. i needed to be close even if hearts apart, but his presence was necessary to my existence. even more then the man who presumes he loves me back in New Orleans. i kept trying to return to reality because if i couldn't stop thinking, i could just keep on walking to Alaskan at this rate. then i glanced into the glass window of this shop and i stopped to better investigate. it looked cozy and inviting but i still hesitate for a few seconds. i look to the sky with my honey eyes ,a sigh escaping my lips in pure despair. what could go wrong? at this point my day can't get any worse can it? i fear that i may have given a challenge to who ever may be able to read my thoughts. I inhale a breath, courageously determined to get at least food and coffee before letting the rest of my day sink further.

I move forward grasping the cold metal door and pull it to me. my entrance wouldn't go unnoticed with the sound of the door closing behind me. im happy with My entire for the day, it was loose enough and yet warm against the winds torments. i look around, sucking in all the beauty of this place. i love antiques and this for me was clearly candy for my eyes. i smile when i move forward, finding new things on my way to settle into a table. i gently put my bag beside m opening it and taking out my sketch book. deciding today i would colors rather then my usual black chalk crayons. I order a cafe late large, because i clearly needed all the caffeine i can get to finalize this day. i also ask for a nice salad, fresh with vegetables and i make a mmm sound as i take my first bite. then i just let the salad sit on the side, and same for the cafe. i just started to draw in some details and shadows, trying to keep my mind occupied.

i frown when my cell phone rings, the caller id making me sad. "Tell me love, why are you in a cafe shop?" i am taken back, a light gasp. "How do you know klaus?" i ask in a low murmur. i could hear gentle chuckles from him before he finally answers me "Do you think i would leave the love of my life, run away and not have someone looking out for her?". i could feel a shiver of paranoia, i even take the time to glance around. eye each stranger here and they all looked occupied with their own things and no one staring at me. i wanted to kick myself of course no one would make it clear he was stalking me. the men that klaus usually employ are good at what they do and this was the reason i felt a ice cold in the pit of my stomach. "That's not necessary! i can handle myself " i revoke, anger slightly getting the better of myself. "Elena, your not immortal! you are strong but nothing if he happens to break your neck..."he says with an irritated tone, but before i could even defend myself, he adds. I will give you three choices, one i come down myself and keep you company, two you stop arguing and enjoy your stay and three i kill him with my bare hands, so love what's it going to be? he says and this brings me a string of fear.

i knew he wasn't joking and he would come down and fix this problem his way, rather then mine. i look up, holding back the angry tears and answer him. "I will enjoy my stay, with who ever is supervising me" my voice clearly hints im not really thrilled. even if he wasn't in my face i could see the victorious smile on his lips. his eyes dancing with pride and victory just before he would lean in and make all the anger go away. Fine choice my love, have a good day and i love you he says, his voice returned to the one he kept only for me. "I love you too and i will" i say, i felt stupid for smiling. it's odd how i hated him and yet i loved him, even with how he is. crazy wasn't a strong enough word to cut it. but he was good and did alot of things to help me when nobody did. he was the one to pick me up when i was crying my heart out, he made me a witch and gave me a new purpose. i was tired of being a frail and powerless human, i wanted my old self back. except it wasn't possible to make me a vampire so he decided to make me a witch. now the power of 4 witches surges through my veins, but i wasn't even as good. i barely knew magic and how to use it, so i was pretty much a super human.

My honey eyes rose to see that most of the people had hear my display and i felt a blush creeping into my cheeks. i lift my hand in an apologetic manner before shyly returning to finish my salad.
