    Downtown

The city has a unique skyline, clashing between modern sky rises and small victorian storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however.

Hail elegance as we revel in the lust of pure destruction;64.229.0.128Posted On April 28, 2017 at 10:53 AM by Petra Ambrose

There would always be men that seek to destroy that peace he spoke about, or those that would meddle in something that was not their business to stick their nose into. Peace was never permanent, not to this raven haired vampire that sat next to another vampire who could not be any more than her opposite, holding onto a rare slice of hope. She still doesn’t understand how he could live all he has lived and seen all he had to see and still possess that beacon of hope that clings to him so dearly.. “The greedy man will always find a way to cash out, even the illusion of peace will have its corruption. By greed or power, I am sure of it.” Man, was not all that difficult to figure out, their motives all the same. She agreed that with power comes shackles and yet that never stops them. Time and time again history had a way of repeating itself.

She doesn’t move when he invades her space with a boyish grin upon his features. She cannot understand his optimism no matter how hard to tries to, and the way he truly believes in his sentiments is truly infectious. But this dark spirit has her own tarnished views on this cruel world. The world never seemed to suffer dreamers well and it may have been full with them, however, dreamers that rise up only do so for the fall. How curious as the other vampire leans into her space and it doesn’t bother this pale creature at all, a flicker of amusement pierces her. But that is all he does, it left her curious. She is still, unmoving in a way that could only be described as unnerving. She doesn’t pop that optimistic bubble he created. “Round and round we go.” She replies cryptically, a wistful darkness singing the edges of her words like they did her soul or whatever ash was left in its place. He retreats back to his seat and she remains the same.

She knows how get along for the sake of getting along, after all her illusions were not always the thing of nightmares. You see, she could make your wildest dream flash before your very eyes and many wouldn’t have clue that it wasn’t real. She could be the epitome of sickly sweet and the very thing nightmares are made of. But what was real? What was façade? Perhaps she was all and neither at one point of time or another. She was simply a shell for the darkness to ebb inside, filling her whole. There was a time where she might have been on the same wave length as the man beside her, but it wasn’t this day. Time eroded and changed this woman, even when she was human, the darkness crept inside of her. She knew the cruelties of the world more intimately than most.

His way that he jests so easily with her is unlike anything she had experienced. No matter what she throws his way, he finds amusement with in it. Keeping the tone light and upbeat in a way that could only be described as impressive. In truth, she enjoyed his company, it was a pity she would find a way to ruin it as a wicked idea pops into her calculating mind. “I am afraid I cannot shake this image of a grown man chasing after rabbits in the dead of night. Oh the thought makes her eyes shimmer, with nothing other than amusement. The nefarious thought corrodes this seemingly innocent conversation, a manipulative and cruel thought that would certainly unhinge this calm she sees before her. She knows she could trick him, trick him into eating human with her illusions, wondering just what it would do to the man would be her game. After all, that is what she does. She toys and plays for her own selfish amusement. She loves her games and these webs she weaves.

The vegetarian vampire leans back into her as she listened to his tale. Somehow he was able to study the coven of vampires eating their own kind for survival. The very notion of it sounded repulsive and yet she wonders, maybe it gave them increased power. The blood of their brethren could make them stronger with all that magic that ran through their veins. “How could you live amongst them without immersing yourself in their lifestyle? I don’t see a coven of vampires ever being generous with their secrets.” After all, what coven would simply allow watchers to infiltrate and study their weaknesses and strength? His lingering form did not affect her, after all she was quite used to invading others space. She could catch a linger scent off of him, the lingering scent of his prey that he recently had.

His laughter is immediate that it almost takes her aback in response to his words, but a small smile dances upon her features. Oh he simply has no idea what she is capable of and yet he finds her parlour tricks amusing even though they silently taunt him in a curious way. How far could she push him? “By all means. Give in to temptation.” Her voice curls, amusement flickering within them like a flickering flame of temptation.

She does pay him a compliment of sorts, after all, it wasn’t often where she could partake in such easy conversation and it is no easy feat to make her laugh. All of which he exceeds at impressively, all whilst she remains curious. Unsure what she truly is willing to do to this man, unsure if he will be just another victim to her tricks. Of course, who was she kidding? The night has only just begun.

His lips curl into a genuine smile as he suggests she won’t be pulling her usual attention craving antics again. “I suppose she won’t. I suppose she learnt that lesson rather easily enough though.” Perhaps she would no longer step foot in another bar if only she could convince this vampire to simply let go, if only for a night. They speak with an ease like old friends, but she cannot shake this wicked little thought worming through the depths of her mind.

His words distract her next, explaining the man he once was. “I think I would be interested in seeing that man after knowing how you hope and how your nature holds a goodness to it. But what the hell do you do for fun? Surely there is more than just alcohol and fluffy animal blood.” Truly perplexing he was and now she had him sharing insights to him. She smiles sweetly, so unlike the beast that would somehow unravel that well-earned calm. He would regret the moment meeting her, this she was sure of. But she just can’t help herself, she places a hand upon his sturdy shoulder, shattering the careful space they have been so respectful of.
