    The East

The east side of the city is often considered the heart of Sacrosanct. It's here were the majority of the shopping district can be found, deep in the heart of downtown. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often times, new comers to the city may be come overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever present feeling that's hardly noticed. The streets of the east side are frequented by all species as many companies are housed in the sky scrapers and hole in the wall establishments that line the streets.

    Downtown

The city has a unique skyline, clashing between modern sky rises and small victorian storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however.

SCREAM baby, SCREAM;

Risque’s kitty spies were sent throughout town whispering tales of importance to the vampire feline empress. Almost too many, in truth, it would make one think twice whenever you notice a stray cat lurking about. She had known her brother was in town for a short time. She had her own nefarious reasons for plaguing the streets of Sacrosanct, recent events made it impossible for her to merely ignore anymore. So the vampire sets her roots in deep. She built her booming club up from the ashes and it was almost ready for its opening night. She possessed far more space than she even needed, enough for her menagerie of exotic felines in the back as well as room to execute out her sordid affairs. It was enough to line her pockets generously and keep the malevolent creature sated for a time. But when was Risque ever truly sated?

This night was not a normal night for the feline queen. She had caught word of her brother’s whore being in the same city and knew he had marked her. Risque would not ignore it like she had for a time long ago. Clearly he could not get this filthy human out of his system. More serious methods were needed in this dangerous game they played, there would be no more trying to reason with the unreasonable. Not even for her own flesh and blood.

It did not take long to pull up to Amor’s club, the limo containing her and enough cats to fill a small zoo and a human. There was no mistaking that signature personal style amongst the other businesses. They looked like a force of nature right out of a nightmarish horror film, her feral felines encasing their queen in a protective circle around her as she struts right up to the door of the establishment with a vengeance in those pale eyes. It was time to put an end to her brother’s foolish antics yet again. The vampire woman moves with purpose, dragging the human along like a rag doll behind her, the violet-eyed nuisance that seemed to cross her path time and time again. She should be dead, but here she was, very much alive. How irritating. She regrets not slaying her when she had her within her grasp all those years ago. It would be adequate payback for killing one of her pets, she didn’t care about her worth to her brother. He would find yet another play toy, like he always did.

That pale hand clasps, twisted within the back of Harley’s jacket, lifting her up like she is nothing more than accessory in her hand. The human girl dangles there, occasionally trying to squirm out of her hold. “If you don’t stop, I will make one of my pets maul you and then you will be mine.” She hissed chastising her, nearly losing her dragon fury on the human. A fate far worse than the one she proposed. Despite knowing the reality of this unfortunate situation she spat her clear distaste. “Fuck you crazy lady.” Harley utters, knowing the words would once again meet deaf ears.

They burst through her brother’s club with the force of a tsunami, unabashed and wild. The music may have continued but everyone in the club stopped wide eyed as they gawked at the scene, it didn’t take long before the stench of fear mingles within the oppressive air. Massive felines three times larger than the bouncer at the door cling to her side, snarling as they sashay with that deadly predatory grace she mirrors perfectly. They hiss, flashing those deadly teeth at the guests as they part ways giving the woman wide birth. Some were simply afraid to move and some actually fled for the door as quickly as their slow human legs could carry them. Risque ignores them a wicked little gleam crawling upon her lips, she was never afraid to put on a show.

Risque was an insurmountable force and there was no stopping her now.
----
Harley had enough time to steep going through the various curses and the total bullshit of this entire situation. She was convinced Amor was too far gone to even truly care what happened to her. What was the point of bringing her here of all places when Harley was perfectly content minding her own damn business? It was easy to cling to that rage that drowned out the fear that dared to bubble up from beneath the surface and take over her entirely. Risque had inflicted all kinds of torment upon her once upon a time. She was one of the reasons that ripped her and her Amor apart in the first place. She had almost died by her hand all those years ago with her meddling. This family was all kinds of fucked up, she knew it. Yet here she was, dragged here against her own will. Risque had already won. Could she not see it? Why stir a pot that was already empty?

Harley’s human heart hammered uncontrollable and irregular. She fought to escape from Risque’s grip, but against the vampire’s strength, she is helpless. It didn’t mean she didn’t have just give up and take it. She would rather be mauled and killed mercifully by her felines than by Risque’s own sadistic hand. The violet eyed woman at least managed to scratch and leave her mark on the vampire’s cold pale flesh, in those attempts to escape her. But she had already healed from those shallow gouges. It was pointless, despite feeling good to receive some kind of retribution from being plucked from her own door step. Why didn’t she just kill her and be done with it? She tried to tell her that the bite marks were nothing, but she ignores her as if she was a mere fly buzzing around her head.

The entourage, if you could call this eclectic group that sliced right into the back where undoubtedly Amor would be. Anxiety rises like bile within her, the thought of seeing him again was almost enough to drive her mad. Not that she would ever admit it but her mind reeled with that encounter those nights ago, those marks on her neck itched like a bitch now that they scabbed over. It was no doubt they would leave a scar. They burst through the door with the force that they were, the door was just opening as another vampire slips out of the room. She could have sworn the man looking familiar.

The door slammed wide open with the force of the cats rushing through, they nearly took out and obliterated the damn door. It was when Harley saw him that her heart nearly stopped in her chest. She threw up her hands helplessly within Risque’s grasp as she dangled there, her jacket digging into her neck. “I told her you don’t give a shit, but the old cat lady is hard of hearing.” Her tone is unamused and elevated specific words to try and nail her point home. Her features pulled tight into a frown, dammit this was embarrassing. Her fingers curled into the palms of her hand out of sheer frustration. She hated feeling this weak almost as much as being forced to face the man that haunted her dreams and nightmares.
--
“Brother.” She states in greeting, nodding her head once yet slowly. Her eyes flash with what seems like a fond warmth for but a second as nostalgia creeps forward. “Its been a while..” Her voice curls about the room, filling it in that oppressive way it often did. How easily she could just stand there with his prized human trinket in her hand. But the formalities are all for show it would seem and that warmth that seeped forward was snatched away.

She wastes no time as she cuts right to the chase.

“Its because your my brother that I’m giving you this option..” Her cold pale hypnotic eyes peer at her brother, that gaze alone is capable of sucking you in and yet also obliterate you all at once. In Risque terms she was far more lenient than she affords any average soul. Perhaps, it was the sweet nostalgia of growing up together, even though it was so very long ago since they had each other’s backs. It is the fact that they are blood and that human part of her brain still considers him her flesh and blood, it was this reason alone that she offers him a choice

“You turn her. Or I will.” She struts forward, meeting his eyes level, uttering out a promise she intends to carry out. She drops Harley suddenly and pushes her forward toward him, nearly stumbling into his desk. “I’m serious Amor. You can’t let this go on any longer. She’s a liability. A loose end..” The words are vile on her tongue as the taste of them repulses her. How her brother can still feel for a human is beyond all comprehension. How can he even feel at all?

“Unless you really don’t care. Then I would be happy to take her off your hands. One way or another she is not escaping this. You know this to be true.” The idle sound of a growl escapes her felines as she waits in silence for a response within that very office.
