    The East

The east side of the city is often considered the heart of Sacrosanct. It's here were the majority of the shopping district can be found, deep in the heart of downtown. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often times, new comers to the city may be come overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever present feeling that's hardly noticed. The streets of the east side are frequented by all species as many companies are housed in the sky scrapers and hole in the wall establishments that line the streets.

    Downtown

The city has a unique skyline, clashing between modern sky rises and small victorian storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however.

Henry had to keep in mind that Malia was not used to being so new to this whole human thing. She was still learning how to be human, learning the mannerisms and phrases. Just as soon as she began sniffing herself, she knew he had said something that she really didn't understand. He chuckled lightly. “I just meant that you look nice...sexy even.” He was glad that he was dating someone, because if he wasn't, he would be taking them home to fuck her well into the night. But thankfully, he was taken...and that was a pretty good reason to keep their clothes on tonight.

He walked with her into the restaurant, helping her to get situated. Once he was seated across from her and opening the menu to look at their offerings, he heard her compliment about him going all out with her. He grinned. “It's nothing. You deserve a nice dinner from time to time...so when you do go to dinner with someone you're interested in, you should know how they should be treating you.” He didn't want her to end up with a deadbeat boyfriend that thought taking her to dinner at Chilis was good enough. She should be spoiled. Whoever she fell hard far would be one very lucky man. If he wasn't dating Sterling - she would be something that he might be interesting in seeing.

As they peered at the menu, Henry had never thought to ask if she knew how to read or not. So when she told him that she did not know how to read, he sighed softly. “I didn't know that. Perhaps you should learn. I can help teach you, if you want.” He didn't know the slightest bit how to teach her to read. She knew the language, so he supposed all she would have to do was memorize the words and put them together much like she already did in her head. It couldn't be too hard, right?

At her declaration that he should pick something for them both, he nodded his head lightly. The waitress came back around and he folded the menu and placed it on top of Malia's. “We are going to get two 8oz filet minion dinners - one rare and one medium. Two baked potatoes fully loaded, and two side salads with ranch. And a bottle of your sweetest wine.” The waitress looked a little put off that he was ordering for the both of them, but he tried not to let it bother him. She didn't understand the circumstances.

Once the waiter left with their menus in her hands, he smiled back at her. “I think you'll like the steaks - bloody - just how you're used to eating your meat.” He winked playfully at her before he took a sip of water. “I hope you like wine. I know you don't like beer.” He chuckled as he remembered her tasting his beer when he had brought her home the night he had rescued her. Wine was a little more sweet and hopefully she found it palatable.
