    The East

The east side of the city is often considered the heart of Sacrosanct. It's here were the majority of the shopping district can be found, deep in the heart of downtown. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often times, new comers to the city may be come overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever present feeling that's hardly noticed. The streets of the east side are frequented by all species as many companies are housed in the sky scrapers and hole in the wall establishments that line the streets.

    Downtown

The city has a unique skyline, clashing between modern sky rises and small victorian storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however.

Well that doesn’t really help me trust my Alpha or not. I’m not sure if he is aware with how much I know, but there is something to be said about the Were population – they talk...a lot. I mean my God I thought girls were the worst when it came to rumors and gossip, but I was so very very wrong. Weres communicate all the time about what is going on in what district within the city, which creature died, which new person got turned, what the latest problems going on between packs. I mean my goodness the Were population was like a world in itself. I find it absolutely tiresome, but imperative that I listen. I learned more about my Alpha then I wished to know. Now I don’t know if everything they say is true or not, I wasn’t there, but I am curious. I heard he was not kind, but cruel. Though I wonder if that is a simple misinterpretation, because he is simply an aloof and guarded creature, which is understandable after what he went through. I heard what he did to a member of the Nightshade pack and I learned he had been getting cozy with the Alpha’s sister. Which is quite stupid actually, but he is a male and I think it is fine if he makes a stupid mistake. However, if his mistake is going to threaten my life or the lives of those that are in his pack then I will have to make a decision. It won’t be an easy one, but I don’t want to be in a pack if I knew that I would be threatened by another pack. I guess the will to survive isn’t something animals have, I guess it is the recognition of mortality on the human side too.

You know I have to admit that I am quite proud of myself when I can casually show that I am not some naïve young thing. I mean I am a blonde and it sucks being a blonde hair girl. Everyone thinks that I don’t have a brain, that I am some kind of dumb blonde. I am not you know. I am quite smart and I don’t mind flaunting it around when I get the chance. I don’t like it when people see me and perceive something that I am not. I know I am young. I know it is all others ever think of me and yet I am so much more than my age or the color of my hair, or that I am a new Were or a girl. I can be something more if given the chance. So, I don’t shy away when I am able to bask in some form of light, at least I can be noticed, at least I can let others think something different of me, hopefully something good. As I speak of different powerful figures within history I am confused as to why he has some sort of annoyed look on his face. I know my facts are correct, I know I am pronouncing all the names correctly so why is he giving me that face. As I listen to him reveal himself as one of the most recognized and legendary historical figures of like, the entire world, I cannot help but stare at him in complete awe. Excitedly I wave my hands in a ‘ hold up manner’ because Oh...My...God...I can’t Even....that’s right I CAN’T EVEN! Quickly I chirp up with much exhilaration.

“Wait up, hold on, you are THE Alexander the Great?! No freakin way! SERIOUSLY?! But why would the Council want to keep you hidden. I mean think about it, your army could have wiped out any and all supernaturals, and conquering nations would have just been a good cover. I mean think about you, you could have taken over the entire world and they could have used your story as being a way to destroy all supernaturals. Sure you are immortal in a way, but then again, they thought you were a God...a lot of history would have changed drastically if you were around.”

It is a shame I think that he wasn’t able to achieve all that he wanted to. Especially after all these, well centuries, he has to live with that particular guilt for as long as he lives. A shame really. Although how he could go on this along without revealing who he was is quite impressive in some way. Oh how the world leaders in the past would have stared in wonder at him, or killed him. Yea, most likely they would try to kill him. So, I guess maybe it is best he never said anything. Although still it is a shame, but I guess I really shouldn’t worry about that. After all I’m the one sitting in his café and like any other supernatural I know that a Dark Hunter’s job is to kill me. Here I am sitting like some sort of easy stupid prey. Well, I guess I had a good run. Although I am quite surprised to hear that tonight I did not have my last meal. Lucky me! With a shrug I simply reply back politely.

“I’m not quite sure if I should be offended or not that I am considered an ‘easy kill.’ I’m not sure if Uncle Azrael would order to have my head off.”

For a moment I sit there quietly on the couch. Quite unsure with what I am supposed to do. I mean I know I overstayed my welcome. That I will not deny. Although I don’t want to simply just leave him here all alone. I mean I really should do something useful. I could clean the dishes that is a simple easy enough task to do. That is if he lets me, but I am not going to rush him with his dinner I think that would be rude. For a moment I frown some as I speak gently with tone of sympathy.

“I am sorry though you got turned into something, you might not have wanted. It must be difficult? To live all these centuries and not being able to be yourself time and time again. Not to mention you can’t really have a family, your friends could die, if you had children they’d die...well, you get the idea. It must be really lonesome and a bit annoying, I mean...you’re a war mogul...in a café.”
