    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

death incarnate & night triumphant

Those memories chased him from his home long before he was ready, even his wings couldn’t keep him in the confines of his home. Letting those massive appendages sink into his back, he slips that jacket on and exits his home into the cool darkness. Relishing in the silence he wonders briefly if he would prowl towards the southernmost part of the city and take flight for a few hours, yet dawn was not terribly far off and he knew if he took to flight, the moment that sun lightened the sky, he wouldn’t be ready to be grounded, he would be irritable for the rest of the day.

Shrugging the notions away, he slips his hands so casually into his pockets as he strolls into the city. A stiff drink would do the faerie lord good. He casually ignores the pedestrians, the scent of other supernatural creatures wafting into his nostrils. He was in a city where no one knew the ancient Monarch, did not know the power he wielded, did not know how very dangerous he truly was. He simply looks like part of a rich man, calm and cool, calculating and cruel.

He reaches a building, hesitating just outside of it as he glances through the windows, satisfied that he might find something worth drinking in the confines of this estate, Andras pushes through the door, making his way to a secluded table. It doesn’t take long before a bustling waiter makes his way to the table, offering him a plethora of options, dismissing him quickly that he only wanted a drink for now, he watches as a woman makes her way through the crowd, her aurora screaming ownership as she makes her way to a table not too far from him.

Turning to watch, a familiar voice drifts across the bar, lingering in his ears as he takes a harder look. A sly grin slides into place as he stands with one fluid movement. Casually, the faerie slides towards the two women, just halting next to the owner of the bar as he catches the end of their conversation, his eyes entirely on the seated woman. Waiting for the owner to finish speaking, he turns to look at her briefly, “Apologies,” he states with a sly smile that doesn’t quite touch his eyes. Giving a brief nod at the owner, he folds his hands behind his back with care, “Perhaps we can have them less visible?” he suggests, maintaining the piece.

If Andras remembered correctly, Eve had quite the sharp tongue on her. After his suggestion, he slips into the seat opposite of her, entirely forgetting he had ordered a drink, the waiter now searching for him. Folding his fingers beneath his chin, he leans forward, regarding his old friend openly, his dark eyes roaming her, not particularly caring that he had an audience. It had been centuries since he had seen this familiar face, last, he heard she had mounted her husband’s head on a spike for treason. How delicious. “Hello Eve, it’s been awhile,” his voice is midnight as he purrs at her. “I had heard you were in town, I didn’t expect to meet you so soon. I would have eventually come to find you,” that devilishly handsome smile slides into place, those hazelnut eyes dark with mischief.

What had his old friend been up to in the last few centuries? He wonders.
