    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

death incarnate & night triumphant

His stroll towards the bar was deliberate, he knew exactly what he needed and though he was pleasantly surprised he didn’t need to be waiting for the man now before him, he wasn’t entirely prepared for the drawling words that fall from his lips. Andras simply regards Troy with amusement, a brow arching in surprise, but his own devilish grin stretches across his lips. “Ah, I see you’re a very wanted man,” he chuckles darkly, “Fortunately for you, I do not owe you money and nor do I desire to have a roll in the sheets with you,” he grins, “I very much doubt you could handle me for an evening,” Andras can’t help but let his own eyes brighten in laughter before turning towards the bartender and flagging him down quickly.

Quickly ordering an expensive bourbon, he’s delighted to see that the bartended immediately fills his glass right before him. Giving a small nod in thanks, he wraps his strong fingers around the glass and brings it to his lips for a swig, enjoying the burn that courses through his throat and that delicious aroma wafting off the dark liquid and into his nostrils. Sighing with content, he returns his dark eyes back to his fellow faerie and sets the heavy glass on the counter before giving Troy his undivided attention, “Believe me or not, I have a purpose to seek you out,” a small shrug, his fingers toying with the glass absentmindedly.

“I heard, upon arriving, that there was once a small faerie court here in Sacrosanct and recently it disbanded because the Faerie Queen left town,” he says casually, prying for any details that Troy might offer. He knew nothing as to why the woman had abandoned her court, perhaps she had been chased from the city or there was a power struggle. He leaned to the former, solely because he had heard no tale of another court within the city limits, nor could he scent another power brewing. Still, Andras could take what information he could get. He had thought to question Dorian more but he had asked the King about his past and allowed the man a break from his interrogation.

“I’m here to build a new court,” he states bluntly, his dark eyes narrowing into seriousness as he holds Troy’s gaze. “Allow me to introduce myself,” a short pause, his shoulder straightening as he faces the fae male directly, “Andras Stein, Lord of the Shadow Court,” he extends a hand, a rueful smile dancing on his lips, “A pleasure to meet you, Troy,” he gives a small nod of his head, a show of respect towards the stranger. “I’m here to extend an invitation for you to join me and mine,” he says straight forward. He very much doubted Troy would enjoy someone beating around the bush, but still he offers a bit of honesty, “My court was destroyed centuries ago by a force still unknown to me, I’m here to rebuild that lost court, to build a family again.”

“Don’t feel obligated to answer me right away, I’ve been told you have your own family waiting for you at home. Just know that you and your family will always be welcome within my court and I truly wish to offer you a position along with a considerable salary,” another smile. Andras wouldn’t deny that being a part of a court wasn’t a job he wouldn’t deny his members to be without pay. Though Andras knew not to bribe fellow faeries into his court with the prospect of money, rather he wanted them to be aware that they wouldn’t be without pay. Still, it never hurt to tack it on. “Take your time, in the meanwhile perhaps we can take a moment to get to know each other, feel free to ask any questions you might have, I swear on my crown I will answer as truthfully as I can.”
