    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

death incarnate & night triumphant

It was the suggestion of Andras being picky this time around that quirks the smile at the corner of his lips. Merely giving the fellow Fae a nod, “Of course, there’s no need to worry yourself with that, I’ve done extensive research on who is invited,” he responds easily. And he would be more hesitant in guarding his secrets, in allowing those who wished to join him. He wouldn’t allow history to repeat itself, never again would he allow his family to be torn apart again. Those thoughts are instantly abandoned when he questions his power, that curt answer seemed to be satisfactory towards the man, and his shoulders slump in relief, albeit slightly, when Troy does not press for more information.

He didn’t want to have to lie to the man more than he already was.

Finally, Andras leans forward listening rather intently to the information that Troy provides, the utter shock apparent on his face as Troy explains that his vampire girlfriend was pregnant. Leaning back, he rubs his neck casually. How… interesting. “I thought vampires were… sterile,” he pauses searching for the correct term. Wincing inwardly, he didn’t want to offend the man but it was curious and near impossible. He had never heard of such a thing before! “Amelia… how is she handling it? Is she doing well?” he asks, genuinely concerned for the woman he had never met. As he questions further about the child, he notes the scowl that instantly spreads across the man’s face.

Perhaps it wasn’t the wisest course of action but he needed to know, needed to… vampire proof the lodge if needed. He was well aware of their blood being a delicacy within the undead realm. If an untested vampiric child were to be allowed into the lodge, well… he might need to be sending his staff elsewhere for the time being so as not to be turned into a meal. Though he had never encountered a vampiric child in all his centuries, he had heard stories of how easily they gorged themselves. Their perfect and angelic faces lured in their prey unknowingly. Shoving out the thoughts abruptly, he knew there was a strong possibility that the child could be a vampire. It still would not deter him from offering Troy and his family protection.

And that is precisely what he does.

Returning the smile that so adorns Troy’s features, Andras gives a dip of his head, extending his own calloused hand and grasping Troy’s. “Welcome to the Shadow Court, Troy,” he grins broadly at the man, reclining in his own seat, mirroring the fellow Fae. His ears perk at the question that lingers on Troy’s tongue, his dark hazel eyes traveling to the man. Picking up the glass, he downs the rest of the liquid. “For now, I ask you to be patient. It’s high time for everyone to meet. I will send word when I have everything prepared at the lodge,” he muses before standing and fishing his wallet out and depositing cash on the counter, paying for his drink and Troy’s.

“After you visit the lodge, if you wish to move your family and belongings there I will have quarters ready for you. However, I ask you to not decide until you’ve seen my home,” he says a bit vaguely, a smile quirking at the corner of his lips. “I look forward to working with you Troy, I have high hopes for you within my court,” he dips his head respectfully before turning on a heel, “Have a nice evening, I will contact you soon,” he calls over his shoulder, a hand lifting to wave.
