    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

bee to the blossom, moth to the flame; each to his passion; what's in a name?166.137.143.80Posted On November 12, 2017 at 8:53 PM by MIYAKO AIKEN

As she inquired about the man, Miya was pleasantly surprised he offered her an honest answer as to how he was feeling, albeit a bit hesitantly. He seemed so entirely confused that has Miya feeling a bit sorry for him, she had never been in such a situation to cause her so much distress or pain that she couldn’t very well remember what happened to her. As he slowly begins to question her, the name that rolls off his tongue has her chocolate eyes focusing on him. She had heard that name before. Henry. It was possible it was two very different people, yet the Asian woman remembered vaguely the strange woman she had helped not too long ago and said that Henry had found her.

Miya suspected this Henry wasn’t a very good person. Yet, she knew she was drawing conclusions. Eyes softening, she leans forward in her chair, the furniture creaking loudly in the room, “I don’t know who Henry is, but if you get me his information we can make a call for you,” she says gently, her eyes inspecting the length of his covered frame, as if she could see through it and see those wounds beneath all the layers. “You arrived in an ambulance by yourself, you look like you had been mauled by an animal,” she says softly, her eyes taking in his every action.

“Can you remember what happened?” she plies him, searching for answers. Miya couldn’t hardly believe there were such an animal attacks within the city. It was absurd! This wasn’t the first case she had handled either. Finally, she stands, announcing he needed to drink some water, so the small Asian woman takes off in pursuit of it. It doesn’t take long before she returns, cup in hand as she hands it to him, gesturing for him to drink. His stumbled thanking merely has a warm smile tugging on Miya’s lips.

Giving a nod, she sinks back into that chair, allowing herself to learn forward so she could easily converse with the man. After she introduces herself, she’s grateful that the man remembers his own name, which he offers her in return. Though, the rest of his statement has her brows drawing down in concern, “It’s nice to meet you, Sterling. Unfortunately, you didn’t arrive with anything other than those wounds and your clothing,” she states carefully.

“Although, we had to throw your clothes away, none of it was salvageable. I’m sorry about that,” she offers an apologetic smile before leaning back into the chair, the furniture creaking once more. Deciding against it, she leans forward, as if she can’t quite make up her mind as to what she wants to do, that annoying creaking sound piercing the air once more. Frowning, she opts for standing and moves towards the wall, leaning against it before her chocolate eyes find Sterling once more. “Sorry, I’m a bit restless,” she apologizes again as she folds her arms over her chest, “Sterling, I’m sorry to press you but do you remember anything? Who got you on that ambulance? And what caused those wounds of yours?”
