    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

where in the world have you been hiding [SEBASTIAN]50.171.49.175Posted On April 30, 2017 at 7:29 PM by amelia marek

Since finding out that she was already twenty some odd weeks pregnant, Amelia’s life had been turned upside down rather quickly. She hadn’t been prepared for motherhood. After all, vampires weren’t supposed to get pregnant. She wasn’t supposed to have to worry about having a baby. But here she was, somehow pregnant. Even she didn’t quite understand the mechanics of such a thing.

Troy had already left the house to go drink or work or something (she never did keep up with his comings and goings) and she was left to find for herself this evening. Already she had drank double her blood that she normally drank for breakfast. Her appetite was insatiable but she had to try to feed the child that now grew within her somehow fertile womb.

Already she had picked out a room that would be turned into a beautiful nursery. The walls had been painted with a beautiful safari mural. There were colorful animals everywhere. The only thing the room needed was baby furniture. Some had already been purchased, she was just waiting for Troy to help her assemble it. But tonight, tonight she was out to shop for herself.

Her clothes were already tight around her middle, her pregnancy already showing through just about everything she had. Her jeans no longer fit, so she looked a hot mess in some leggings she found stored away from when she occasionally did yoga. Yoga pants and a large t-shirt were definitely not very attractive, so Amelia had resigned herself to go buy some actual maternity clothes.

As she walked out on the street, she tried desperately hard to conceal her baby bump. It was strange to see a pregnant woman in this town…let alone one that should not be pregnant. She was worried about what others might do if they saw a pregnant vampire. She was sure that a dark hunter might try to kill her or capture her. Dark hunters had already tried to kill her once…so it was not a far fetched idea that they might try to kill her a second time.

As she neared the maternity store, she looked both ways before quickly crossing the street. As she got to the other side, she slipped on the curb and began to fall. She instinctively gripped her belly, outlining the bump as her other arm reached out to break her fall. So much for trying to blend in. Now she practically screamed it to the world that she was expecting.
