    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

Kathryn Quinn Murphy
I bet on me and my own heartbeat

Kat want used to being approached by strangers, in all honesty, because before she lived in Sacrosanct she had known almost everyone, and therefore no one was a stranger. Sure, that had its drawbacks of course. Partying after football games back in high school had been near impossible because there had been the ever watchful of eyes of someone’s parent who would catch them sneaking alcohol, or if they tried to tell there parents they were staying at a friends house when really they were going to a party, all the parents would call one another to check. It was a nightmare. Oh, and there was the whole running into ex boyfriends on a near daily basis, that could be certainly put a damper on things. Awkward hellos and how are yous.

In this case, she had been approached by a creepy stranger and saved by a very compassionate stranger. So what, does that mean she is at a 50/50 hit or miss when it comes to her creepy to nice ratio?
God she hopes not.

She feels eyes remaining on her for a moment and Kathryn turns her head strewn with dark locks over her shoulder, briefly making eye contact with the creep before quickly turning her head back around to face Taylor, promising herself to not look her there again, not wanting to give that douche any more satisfaction of her attention.

“Likewise, Taylor,” she says in response when he states it is a pleasure to meet her. He grins in response to her apology and she finds that she cannot help but smile back and a small amount of laughter bubbles from her lips in his direction. “Well, I am glad I am not the only one,” she says as she attempts to give a wink, but ultimately ends up just blinking both of her eyes at him instead, returning his lean with her own as she speaks, before returning upright once more, letting space fill in between the pair of strangers once more. “Ill keep your potty mouth a secret if you keep mine one, deal?” she says, raising her eyebrows as she waits for his response before extending out her hand, the only finger up being her pinky, ensuring their promise would be secure with the only promise you can never break: a pinky promise, of course.

“My grandad owns a whiskey distillery, I didn't really have much of a choice when it came to my drink preference,” she says with a laugh as memories come to mind of her sneaking down to the basement in order to try and secure a handle big enough for her and all her friends to party with on the weekends. But the memory fades from her mind as Taylor tells her that she didn't owe him anything. A coy smile falls to her lips, contorting her cheeks as she responds. “Not anymore I dont. I just bought you a drink,” and she cannot help but laugh at her statement, knowing a drink would never quite equal what she could have had happen to her by that creep if Taylor hadn't been brave enough to speak out.

“So tell me about yourself Taylor. Where you come from and why you decided to get away.”
