    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

He was used to having that bad boy persona thrown on him when really he was just an honest man trying to make it in life. He had his rebellious nature and he never turned down a good brawl but he didn't do drugs or even smoke cigarettes. Sure, he liked liquor but who doesn't? It wasn't like he drank himself to death every night and crawled back home. He was used to being poor and he got by how he could, doing handyman jobs that no one else could or wanted to do. He mowed lawns and trimmed hedges and fixed clogged toilets that left him gagging for days if only cause he needed the money for his next meal. And he drove a Harley cause it was better on gas than a car and it was the only project he'd ever finished with his dad, the only bonding experience they could claim if you even want to call it that. Kathryn agreed with him, giving him a grin as she said that if she heard about her foul language in the streets, that puff of air speaking her threat silently. He put on a mock solumn expression, his eyes widening as he ran a hand through his hair before he made a gesture to zip his lips. "Oh, my lips are sealed! I won't breathe a word of it."

Then they turn back to their drinks as she told him about her family's business. She told him it was tempting but that whiskey got old. He raised a brow skeptically before she laughed and said that she was just kidding. He chuckled too, watching her down her glass before he did the same. She seemed very interested in him but he wasn't anything special. He teased her about going into the deep stuff and she corrected him, saying she even brought her own diving board. He laughed. "Well at least you're dedicated. That's admirable." He grinned. When he told her briefly about what brought him here, she told him checked the box and he exhaled bitterly. "Yeah, I guess I did." he said in a sigh. Then she leaned back as he asked about her, telling him that she needed to get away from living in the same place for so long and she was working on her masters. "And here I was, thinking I was sitting with another idiot. I'm sorry, miss, I'll find the drop outs table so we don't have to breathe the same air, miss Master's degree." He was teasing, his eyes twinkling mischeveously as he acted as if he was about to get up.

She caught his attention though when she mentioned her dad had been in Sacrosanct before and that he called it magical. His brow rose. He glanced around, even daring to give the man still glaring at them a playful wink this time before he looked back at her. "Well, here you are. See any fairy dust yet?" He smirked.
