    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

i dance with the devil and dream with the demons {LAZARUS}166.137.136.130Posted On December 06, 2017 at 8:07 AM by James King

despite the weather it gets better, you won't do this alone

How long had it been since King had seen his darling niece and nephew? It had been years since his little brother had forced him from the picture all those years ago. Apparently, Tal didn’t want his children influenced by the older brother, Tal had told James he was too dark and King had told Tal they were Dark Hunter’s for bloody sake. It was their job to rid the world of such creatures that did not belong. How they triumphed over everyone that was a part of this world. Tal should have felt ashamed they let those disgusting little creatures to rule the world, allow them power within packs and courts and covens, it was not natural. They were made to cleanse the world. Tal never did understand, nor did their father. James was not surprised he did not get to run the family council, their father was far too soft, though he had enough backbone to exile James from the council.

Such unpleasant memories that so course through King’s mind as he watches Lazarus leave the townhome he shared with his sister. It had been a long time since he had seen the young man and from the looks of it, he grew into a fine little Dark Hunter. Though, there is disappointment dancing through James’s eyes when he realizes that Lazarus isn’t aware that he is being watched. He clearly had not been keeping up honing his skills. King had managed to survey the city in the short time he had been here, finding Lazarus and Elain was his first priority and they were fairly easy to track down, considering Lazarus had always been the fiery one, James merely needed to go from bar to bar to find out if there had been any recent brawls. Simple enough.

Blue eyes watch Lazarus travel down the street for a moment before James falls into line, following him to the nearest bar, which ended up being The Voodoo Room. It would not have been his choice, though it would suffice. Since wiping all other races from the world was far from being completed, the least they could do was serve him. It was such a spectacular thought that has James smiling, a touch of insanity so galloping through those blue eyes. Pushing into the bar, he quickly spots his nephew sitting at the bar, looking rather ridiculous with that hood so drawn over his head. King needed to teach Lazarus how to act like a gentleman, put on a front so no one knew what they did; at least, what James delighted in.

Stealing the seat next to Laz, he unbuttons his suit jacket, as is custom in the modern world, his meticulous suit fitting in well with the atmosphere. A faint smile so coats his lips, though it doesn’t reach his eyes as he regards Lazarus for a moment, waiting to see just how long it took for him to notice his uncle. When he does, “Hello Lazarus, it’s been a long time,” his voice is deep, tinged with a British accent, though, it is clear he had spent much of his time elsewhere as that accent is faint. “Why don’t we catch up?” he suggests in a way that doesn’t truly allow his nephew any choice in the matter. At least now he would see if Tal had instilled any sort of discipline or respect in the eldest Daray child.
