    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

The Macedonian King's instincts were quickly alerted by that barrelling figure in the darkness, one in which the ivory stallion was so effortlessly able to hear far before the figure entered his own line of sight. Nevertheless, that rampaging vampire hardly served to unsettle the ancient Hunter, his hand reaching out to grab the shaft of that spear that so appeared for his very use. His fingers clutched around the object, commanding the horse beneath him to still as he so threw the spear, watching it as it wedged itself into the heart of that creature, sending the night walker tumbling backwards and into the snow. A soft grunt of satisfaction so left Alexander's lips though the man hardly held any doubts of his ability to so dispose of this lookout. Rather, his attention turned wholly to the that obscure slit within the mountain behind the vampiric corpse, the very cave in which he surely emerged from the depths of. How very fitting for a coven of bloodthirsty supernaturals. Still, the hunter paused on the back of that stallion, listening inquisitively as Frost spoke of the name of this particular cave, a name which, although meant little to him, was clearly of some significance to the world at large.

Regardless, it hardly changed the fact that the cave was highly likely to be their destination, his heels lightly digging into the sides of his companion to so urge him onwards and into that obscure oblivion. Alexander was wholly oblivious to the equestrian's dislike of such small spaces, at least, initially so. That hesitance that so marked Frost's frame, however, was entirely ignore, the man entirely aware of that shift from hoof to hoof in a gesture that so spoke volumes of that nervousness. The King's lips pressed together ever so slightly, his eyebrows furrowed before his palm gingerly reached out to brush against the creature's nape. "Eínai entáxei, Frost." He spoke softly, favoring his native tongue if only for the placidity he had noticed it so brought the steed beneath him, even if he too knew well the were could scarcely understand a syllable that so left his lips. It took a moment longer before the equine so stepped forward to that cave, pausing again the moment his hoof hit that hard stone beneath them. A soft sigh so left the man's lips as he shifted in that saddle, swinging his leg over as he stepped down from the saddle, making his way towards Frost's head to so lead the steed into the darkness beyond.

In those moments, he relied heavily upon the creature at his side, one hand firmly remaining upon the horse's back, ready to pull himself onto the steed once again at a moment's notice. It took measurable effort to coax the equine to slow in any regard, his voice whispering in a soft murmur those greek words, making every attempt to so still that fear. The last thing Alexander needed with a vampire a coven lurking within those depths was a rampaging terrified stallion. It was that quiet, mental sentence that so saw the Hunter fall silent, stilling for a moment to shift uncomfortably. The prospect of felines so roaming the cavern was certainly displeasing to the man, if only because of the way his own body so reacted to their fur. "Let's try not to attract their attention." He allowed that thought to so hang within his mind, should Frost be so attentive to it, the man instead carefully confused on their forward movement, the prospect of the cave cats enough to want him to be rid of this place perhaps just as much as his companion.

Still, despite such wants, the cave only seemed to be further willing to embrace them, leading them onwards still into the darkness. It was the distinct change in luminosity that so captured the man's attention, seeing him slow considerably within his forward movement if only for concern of what such a light so held in store for them. What he hadn't anticipated, however, was the ledge he found himself upon, much less the sheer swarm that existed in a buzz of activity beneath them. For a moment, Alexander simply stared at the enemy he faced, his mouth parted ever so slightly as the realization of what this mission was so dawned upon him. That idiotic fool thought he could kill him with vampires. His hands clenched ever so slightly with noteable anger that after all these years, Xerxes had failed to learn his lesson. Did he not yet know that Alexander was destined to succeed? Alexander stepped back into the darkness, his eyebrows furrowed in a determined fashion as Frost's inquiry so lingered upon his mind. His blue-green gaze glanced up at the steed, willing entirely, for once to trust the creature with his very life. "We're going to prove Xerxes and the council wrong - what skills do you have at our disposal?"
