    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

Much like Sebastian, Ceara spent very little time dwelling upon the past with Anna though for vastly different reasons. The vampire child had all but been forgotten until her scent resurfaced. The interactions between Sebastian and Anna she was under no doubt required a drink afterwards so she was only more than willing to provide. Ceara settled easily beside Sebastian and sipped at her drink while she listened to his vague explanation. He was intriguing to say the least, if only because for someone she assumed unattached to Anna was adamant about being unable to leave for a reason that sounded much deeper than due to her persistence. It caused Ceara to raise a brow in curiosity. Sebastian however seemed to eagerly latch onto her own words about Anna and was far more interested in hearing more.

Ceara sighed softly as she returned her gaze to stare at the half filled glass as if it held the very memories within the amber liquid. “Anna was the Supreme of her own coven. I never knew my Maker and floundered with what I was and coming to terms with it. I stumbled across her coven a few years after I was turned. She was well over 450 years old by then and had quite the gathering. She’d even somehow gathered Weres to act as the coven’s protectors. There was no unnecessary bloodshed, only the willing lived there…she preached about balance with the human population. Out of all of the towns I have been in I would say that one would have been like Sacro in living out in the open side-by-side with supernaturals because of how well she kept the coven.” The vampire trailed off with a slight pained expression before finding her voice again. “I was with her for over 80 years. Anna had sent me with another of her trusted to go look at some new property and when I returned…it was gone…every vampire, every Were, every brick, all of it. I found her standing in the middle of the rubble, a ghost of what she used to be…fractured and unpredictable. She wouldn’t tell me what happened, or couldn’t, I don’t know. As you may have learned it’s hard to get straight answers from her in this mind frame. I remained with her for a year trying to snap her out of it but the…games…it was too much for me and I fled.”

Her hazel eyes returned to Sebastian’s crystal blue depths. “What she is now though is what all tales of turning the young warn against.” Ceara’s finger tips rapped against the wooden top as her attention strayed to a customer a few stiff drinks to the wind debating the bartender. Her abilities were rarely needed to get a customer under control but it did happen. Luckily Ceara’s employees were well chosen and the bartender handled the customer quietly and with practiced ease getting his keys and calling the man a cab. “I’m sorry, but what’s your story again?” Ceara glanced back to Sebastian now fully intent to find out how he got looped into this Stephen King novel that was Anna. “Did you come to Sacro with her?” A small chuckle left her lips as she sipped her drink. “At least you don’t have to have her as a maker. I would hate to have that connection to her in this state of mind now. I don’t even think she would be capable of turning anyone right now.” Of course it was meant in light jest, unknowing of how accurate her words actually were.
