    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

Anna was thoroughly pleased and entertained with the game Sebastian had created for her. Each time she twisted about to back-track with a new rhyme down the ribbons she flashed Sebastian a delighted smile. It would have lasted much longer had the stewardess not approached cutting off her last song. Even before Anna-Marie became fractured she hardly ever had blood from anything but a living vessel. The only thing that had changed was it had been willing humans that had provided the meal before. Therefore it was hardly a surprise that the child vampire’s features twisted in disgust of the stale blood and voiced her opinion on it. Her utter displeasure at this expected notion of her drinking from a cup was turned on the stewardess. Despite Anna’s small size she could easily fall a grown man (Sebastian evidence of that), so the unsuspecting stewardess was no match for her.

The stewardess would have been a quick and easy meal but it was Sebastian’s approach that caused Anna to falter. That same ebb of his power as before taking over her body. It was something that Anna was vaguely aware of at first, fought against even, but after that initial onset it wasn’t something the brain thought to question as she was very near driven to do what he pleased. It was a stark contrast to her usual personality that it was a greater internal dilemma for the little vampire. Anna looked back at Sebastian as he spoke, crystal eyes regarding each other crouched beside the unconscious woman. Her fingers twitched, gripping at the air in a small fight against her want to do what Sebastian said as his power dictated and simply wanting to feed uninhibited.

Anna’s gaze flickered down to the woman, “Ok…” She waited relatively patiently as Sebastian maneuvered the woman to bare the smooth skin of her neck. There was some hesitance when Anna glanced at Sebastian as she leaned forward towards the woman’s neck as if expecting him to change his mind at the last minute. After all, Sebastian had never been pleased by her feeding from those she caught, let alone held them for her. That curious gaze remained on Sebastian as she gripped the stewardess’ shoulder and her small fangs pierced the bared neck. The blossom of blood that flooded Anna’s mouth caused her to shift closer still, feeding greedily as her natural instinct took over. It was a battle between the instinctual need to feed and that of the power that gripped her working to control that very primal part. Anna’s eyes slid closed as she fought the war, fought against the tendrils that wanted her to follow Sebastian’s instructions. Perhaps if he hadn’t been hers then it wouldn’t have worked but ever so slowly Anna released her grip on the woman and leaned back on her heels, wiping the back of her hand across her mouth to swipe the blood from her lips.

The stewardess would be weak but at least she was alive as not many that Anna fed from could claim that. “How do you make those ribbons?” The woman was all but forgotten now that she had been fed as Anna turned her attention back to the delightful power Sebastian possessed. Anna smiled softly, holding up her own hands palms facing Sebastian, “I want to make them too. Can you show me how?” Although she understood it was a power he possessed, she was also quite certain she could learn it if she really desired it. “Can you draw anything with it? Can you play jump rope with it?” The fact that the power wasn’t intended for childish games didn’t matter to Anna, she just wanted to know if it would be capable of such things. So far his power was useful to her for hopscotch so it was only natural for her to investigate if it could be of further use.
