    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

That trek out of the city limits was hardly as long as the vampire had anticipated, that neighborhood enveloping them almost immediately as the pair continued their quite pointed trek. Sebastian was all too aware of that shift within the young woman at his side, his lips pressing together ever so slightly as he watched her so gleefully wander down that pristinely paved sidewalk. He'd never found himself in her company fully fed before, that price of death such required often too high of a cost for the Englishman to even desire to experience this moment and yet - tonight it seemed she had shown restraint, likely only due to the impending danger if they had lingered any longer. Still, that drastic change in her demeanor was enough to cause his eyebrows to wrinkle in thought. Though the vampire had hardly tried much with his creator, he found that he quite struggled to put a finger on her. Usually, he was able to tell with ease what his victims were searching for, what they liked and disliked but Anna-Marie...she was something different altogether. Those now crystalline eyes continually shifted from the carefree child to the map on his phone the closer and closer they got to their destination - the man simply waiting for some sort of recognition that never truly came.

In fact, it wasn't until they reached those dilapidated wrought iron gates that there was any change at all in the child, slight though it was. Sebastian tucked his phone into his pocket, maneuvering with care around those barely hanging hinges before leading the girl up the walkway towards what remained of that building her coven had once took shelter in. A small frown crossed his lips as she suddenly broke away from him, moving through that rubble with a hurried pace to her steps. Sebastian trailed after her petite form, his gaze lingering on what remained of that building in simple curiosity. It was the sound of her voice that drew the vampire's gaze and slowly, he nodded in response, "It was, or so I've heard." He was oblivious to the memories that so surfaced beneath her large eyes, the man only aware of that drastic shift as her voice steadily shifted to something more shrill, her footsteps moving with a more erratic fashion as she quite literally ran from him and through that rubble before falling in a heap, that scream echoing even in the darkness and still air that surrounded them.

Sebastian made his way quickly towards her side, a small frown crossing his features in the process and yet, for a moment, he simply stood there at her side, watching her. It was clear the memories of what had occurred here still haunted her - a feeling he understood well and yet, her failure to cope with that guilt was one that so baffled him entirely. Sebastian himself was hardly particularly skilled with moving on beyond his past and yet, even the murder of his wife had hardly sent him into the screaming mess she was now - even if he had wanted to do little more than that. A soft sigh left his lips as the man bent down, scooping up her curled up figure into his arms. Those soft muttered French lyrics poured from his lips, reassuring her that it was okay, that she wasn't there, that she was here with him as he carried her from the ruins of that clearly once bustling manor. Sebastian led her down towards the crumbling brick walls and the delipidated gate, pausing only there to settle himself upon the grassy floor, leaning against the remains of one of those steadfast brick pillars. Delicately, he reached down to cup her face within his hands, those bright blue eyes wholly intent upon her. "Anna-Marie, ma petite, regarde-moi. C'est bon, c'est fini maintenant." (Anna-Marie, look at me. It's okay, it's all over now.)
