    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

Where you invest your love, you invest your life; 192.206.23.249Posted On June 13, 2017 at 11:41 AM by DAREIOS

It's not the long walk home that will change this heart, but the welcome I receive after the restart.

Dareios remained focused on the unconscious human on the sidewalk, watching as the holes left in her neck by the vampire girl begin to slowly mend as he rubbed the skin there with his own blood. He was furious inside. In fact, the vampire hadn't felt this angry since, well, since what lead him to feed on a human the last time. Ian, his business associate at the time, had made one too many mistakes. And in a rare lapse in judgement, Dareios attacked him, fed on him enough to keep in incapacitated, and then restrained him while he continued to do so for days until the man withered and died. That bender was only a year or so ago. But Dareios refused to think about Ian now, and the way drinking blood directly from a human's body had made him feel. It was a fleeting pleasure, one that came with dire consequences. Despite his frustration, the pressures on him now were far too great for another relapse. No matter what this vampire tried to convince him otherwise.

When she speaks, Dareios doesn't bother looking at her. He's already typed out an emergency message on the Apple watch latched around his wrist, requesting the service of his usual guards. "My team is on the way. I suggest you leave, if you do not wish to be detained." He speaks clearly and methodically, in a message sent telepathically to the vampire girl again.

She mentions Islot and the coven, and Dareios' gaze narrows on the human, and then he rolls his eyes. Despite the affection he felt somewhat for Islot, he had no use for covens. They were rogue and dated, in his opinion, an archaic and cult-ish system that gave vampires an excuse to continue to behave like animals and commit crimes. There was no reason for this kind of activity in this day and age, especially in a city where the mayor was open about being a vampire. He built his whole campaign platform about bringing the various species together and equality for all, for Christ's sake. There was no use for senseless feedings or killings nor whatever other activities he assumed this vampire girl was so quick to rashly commit.

"Weak?" He finally cracks, his hands balled into fists as he stands from his kneeling position on the sidewalk. "Weak is the one who feeds and lives as if they were nothing more than an animal, with no room for intellect or rational thought. Weak are the crude, the ones that refuse to evolve. Weak are the ones that harm the defenseless. You, my dear, you are weak."

Nevertheless, the last thing Dareios wanted to do was arrest or detain her. Not while he was here and in gym clothes, of all things. Not when there was a chance that someone in this public park could have spotted him with her. He needed to clean this up as quickly as possible and get the hell out here, and away from her.
