    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

Maybe if she wasn’t raised in an environment that constantly forced her down and treated her poorly, the she-wolf may not be such a timid or fragile creature. If she was surrounded by love and support there was a good chance that she would have been a force to be reckoned with. She was not entirely a hopeless and helpless creature. There within her was a small ember of self-confidence that was slowly growing thanks to those that she called family. She was quite protective and if needed she was capable of protecting them. For now though she was unsure of herself and her safety. She was being chased by Dark Hunters, far from the safety and protection of pack. Alone and uncertain with what would occur she was trying to be cautious. It was imperative that she not get caught, but that she did not endanger her small patchwork of a family. In a foreign place with a strange and unknown male there were far too many uncertain possibilities that could occur. So, finding a dark corner would help bring her some comfort, and drinking some liquid courage might help settle her nerves.

Handing him his mug of beer she noticed how he gingerly took it, noticing how his fingers did not brush against her own. Truly she would have been okay with touch like that. It was her face and anywhere else that would make her quite uneasy. Her dial would snap to the left sharply at the sound of a heavy form falling to the ground and glass breaking, the woman terrified that she might have been caught. Thankfully though it was some drunk. Shaking her head she took another sip of her drink pleased to have that burn go down her throat once again. She turns to look at the Viking noticing that his table manners were...not perfect. She had seen worse. Far worse thanks to her mate. She did not appear fazed at all with his actions. His lack of table manners did calm her nerves slightly, if only because it reminded him of her mate. Her dial would tilt to the side puzzled as he introduced himself, the name was something she hadn’t heard before. With a polite smile she spoke softly a compliment.

”That is a very unique name Ior...Iorr..I...Varg.”

A rosy pink color began to appear upon her paled cheeks. She was quite embarrassed that she was unable to pronounce her name. It would be more proper if she as capable of speaking his name. After all it must be annoying to be around those that had no respect in calling him by his true name or at least trying. She tried and failed miserably. As always the young woman was considerate of others and here she failed to even speak his true name. Why he was stating at her with such intensity she did not know. But it did make her a bit uncomfortable, but she remained sitting where she was staring right on back. It was his inquiry about her scars that caused her eyes to shift downwards. Growing steady and quiet she simply stared at the table, her fingers wringing together in her typical nervous way. The sounds of the patrons were growing louder filling the void between them. She didn’t like talking about her past much less bringing it up. It was better to forget and ignore it. With a soft sigh she murmured a gentle response hoping the answer would be enough to keep from any more being asked.

“Oh...um...my Father.”

It was the sound of the door slamming open that caused her to flinch. Slyly she turned her dial to see the Dark Hunters she was fleeing from standing in the doorway. Those that were of the supernatural kind turned, their glares steady on the duo. The rowdiness began to die down. As they began to slink through the crowd she turned her focus back upon the were-lion, her body tense as she shifted slightly into the shadows of their corner. Needing to make herself unnoticeable she tried to appear like any sort of guest of the Voodoo Lounge. Taking another sip of her drink she tried to pick up a casual conversation hoping that the Dark Hunters would ignore them.

“So...what are you doing in the city, just here to visit or thinking about moving?”
