    The North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high class victorian architecture. The streets are paved with stone, the buildings are made of brick, and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting. In the North every establishment is made to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - weather it be illegal or merely looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allow them the luxuries that the North provides.

Malek Ackerman

You're my water. You're my wine.

It was altogether satisfying for Malek to hear that soft gasp emit from Arlo’s throat as he scrapes his fangs against his neck. True, it had been a long while since the man had anyone in his bed and perhaps if he hadn’t been so intrigued by the young vampire he would have followed through and taken the man right there. Alas, the stranger was so very young and seemed rather naïve; for example: Arlo attempted to feed from an ancient vampire and assumed he would very easily be able to get away with it.

It’s only when Arlo exclaims that Malek smiles into his neck, letting his cool breath caress his skin for a moment longer before he feels hands on his chest and pushing him away. Taking a step back from the vampire, the ancient gives a small shrug and a playful smile tugging at his lips. A chuckle even passes through his throat as Arlo gives him such a look of distaste and begins to scold the man for making him believe he was attracted to him. Again, he shrugs, his smiles growing by the moment, “Honestly, I very much thought about it. Unfortunately, you are far too young for my tastes though,” he grins, his corded arms folding across his chest.

“If I were to take you to bed you would be writhing in ecstasy even if it was your first time with a man,” Malek states simply, no arrogance coating his words just honest truth. When you lived for as long as he did, you tend to pick up a lot of things along the way, he had even considered sex to be an art form, one he had quite perfected.

When Arlo reveals his face finally, Mal takes but a moment to study him before giving a small nod, acknowledging his offered name. “Nice to meet you, Arlo, strange as the circumstances might be. My name is Malek,” he extends a hand, not entirely sure if the fellow vampire will grasp it. Mal wouldn’t blame him if he decided to brush him off. When he directs the conversation towards his sire, the ancient immediately sees the walls form around him, a clear warning that his new-found vampire didn’t want to speak of his maker in the least. Again, Malek nods.

The vampire’s grin simply broadens as Arlo continues to ramble on and on, not that Malek minded, it was nice to have the company of a fellow vampire that didn’t want to kill everything that moved. “You hunt vampires which is not natural prey for us. I won’t ask you why you hunt your fellow brethren I simply wanted to offer you another option. As far as a coven I find them far too… political. I much rather be alone than enslaved by a coven leader,” he drawls making it clear that he had experienced coven life before and it wasn’t something for him. “I’m centuries old,” he lifts a shoulder casually, “Once you reach a certain point, you tend to stop counting. I’m well into my sixth century if that will ease your curiosity,” he arches a brow at Arlo.

It’s clear, the suspicion and the curiosity warring on the young man’s features and Malek was surprised he hadn’t bolted yet. He was glad he didn’t, but surprised nonetheless. Another chuckle emits from Mal as his shoulders shake with the intensity of his laugh, “I have over half a millennium of experience in bed, I can assure you, I can teach you a great many things.” As his laughter dies away, his eyes remain alight with humor. “Back to more serious matters at hand, have you ever thought about hunting something that wouldn’t come try to hunt you down later on?” He asks casually, his head tilting to regard the young vampire across from him. “Say, an animal?”

You're my whiskey. From time to time.
