Dorian AragonaHis Royal Highness

It was those first few notes of irritation in the little girls voice that saw Dorian pause in his efforts to rescue each of Sebastian’s belongings and replace them upon the shelf. The Fae King so distinctly aware it would not do to displease the girl entirely to much and yet he was perhaps as equally unwilling to allow even a single possession of his lovers to be broken. Sebastian had so few things after all, at least, by way of photographs or small ornaments or collectables. Dorian so assuming by that notion that those few he had were indeed precious to the man somehow and as such the thought they might be ruined was more than the Fae could bear. He continued to gather those things and return them to their place and yet he made some effort at the same time to at least pretend as if he was searching in turn. It was fortunate perhaps, that Dorian was, if nothing else, an entirely creative being when it came to ‘games’. This sort of childish exploration was hardly the sort of play he so frequently engaged in with Sebastian and yet he was assured he could just as easily entertain the girl. The Fae King so declaring he had surely found that key before pointing down the hall and marching right towards it with a purpose sure to gain the little vampires attention and lead her away from those shelves.

It was easy then, to grasp that white pastel he had taken to keeping with him. His affinity for art assuring he hardly needed colours when he could craft his own. The man selecting a piece of paper before sketching that age-old and wholly traditional key design, allowing that golden colour to fill it before reaching to pluck it from the paper and into reality, so displaying it now towards the vampire girl in some hope this might be acceptable. It was, after all, a key was it not? Anna-Maries eyes widened readily then, her smile near beaming in delight, Dorian entirely relieved to discover this was a suitable distraction. Her declaration but a moment later that she desired to do just that was met with an almost anxious look. The Monarch was entirely incapable of teaching that power unique to himself and yet he supposed should worse come to worse he could easily engage her in some sort of drawing game. Her attention span however, was decidedly short, the girl suddenly demanding that he make more before proceeding to offer him a veritable list of creations she required. A doll perhaps the simplest of them. In truth Dorian had never tried to craft something living like a kitten, the man having no notion as to how such a thing might work- if it did at all. A dress he supposed was entirely doable if a piece of paper large enough to craft one could be found and yet he supposed- he could always draw a piece of paper. Dorian never before having considered the true implications of his power in this way.

“Well, what sort of doll do you desire. I shall start to draw and if you like, you can tell me what to add as we go, how does that sound? Come, let us sit on the floor over there so you can see the paper.”

If he was lucky, such a game might amuse her until either Sebastian came home or- satisfied with her new doll, the girl might decide to leave and come back another night when he was not present. Dorian moved to place that sheet of paper down, before seating himself in a cross-legged, almost childish fashion upon the floor, his pastel held to the paper as he begun to craft that head, adding colour as he went. He paused then, waiting for the vampire child’s instruction on just what to add.

“Is it to be a girl doll or a boy doll?”
