Dorian AragonaHis Royal Highness

It was a fortunate thing to so manage to ensnare the little vampire’s attention with his own affinity for art, even if he had never before sought to utilise it in such a fashion as this. The Monarch assured that such desperate times surely allowed for such desperate measures as this. He sat himself easily upon the rug then, gesturing for Anna-Marie to do the same before beginning to sketch the outline of that doll she had demanded. The man assured it was by far the most do-able of those other requests. Dorian entirely unsure as to how he might produce a living kitten or even a dress when it might very well risk simply falling apart. The Fae never truly having tested how ‘real’ his drawings truly could be. Now perhaps not the time for such experimentation. The little vampire so declared she wished for a doll that was to look just as she did with a pretty dress and a tiara, Dorian nodding a moment later, silver gaze lifting to eye the girl critically and take in her features before beginning to expertly sketch those lines and shapes. The man a truly gifted artist when he so chose to be. The drawing of Anna-Marie that so resulted a truly incredible rendition of the girl in doll form. Sitting still for portraits however, was clearly not one of her defining traits. The girl declaring she too wished to draw.

“Very well. Here, you can use these.”

A spare piece of paper was easily passed to her, along with that small collection of coloured pencils the man so often kept upon his person lest that artistic mood should strike him at any moment and he find himself befit with inspiration. Those art supplies had been passed to the girl for barely a minute before her attention wandered to look upstairs, so declaring herself curious as to whether that treasure might be lingering somewhere above. The idea of the girl going through Sebastian’s private affairs within his study, else traipsing through those spare bedrooms or music room or worse still- his bedroom- was beyond what Dorian was so willing to tolerate. His lips pulling into a thin line of disdain and yet still he so refused to break that pleasant demeanour just yet. His hand reaching back to the paper and colours before the girl as if to distract her- else try too.

“I do not think they keep such things upstairs. It is very boring up there. There is only spare bedrooms that are plain and empty and dull. Sebastian does not have guests very often. Why don’t you draw that dress you wanted? Perhaps if you draw it first then I might make it real for you afterward, hmm?”

It would surely be enough, he hoped, to keep the girl occupied as he hurriedly added those finishing touches to the doll he had drawn, calling his own affinity to life before reaching into that picture to pluck the doll from it- handing it to the little vampire now. Dorian wholly surprised at how…real it seemed. The man momentarily taken aback with his own skill as he waited for some sort of approval for the girl. That doll appearing so strikingly like her.

“I do not think Sebastian is going to be home tonight. Are you sure you still want to wait? It’s getting very late. If you worried to walk home alone I can surely take you?”

He was, at this point, wholly determined to attempt to steer the girl at least towards the thought of leaving well before she might decide to take apart the rest of the home. Perhaps, so taken with her new doll, she might desire to return home to play with it.
