    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

That very scene that played out before him was the very vision of the vampire’s nightmares, if he was given to dream, that is. He had taken such diligent care to ensure his young maker never followed him home on those nights he was cursed with her presence, the man entirely determined to keep those beneath his roof, those souls he cared of, safe from the reckless child that had a habit of so utterly destroying that peace he often sought for. He could hardly help the way his lips pressed together in distaste at the horror of the pair alone, within the same room and yet, he still attempted to force some measure of pleasantry within the child, fearing that those tantrums might some how result in harming his lover in some fashion. That possessiveness so blossomed into fullforce within the man as he held out his hand to Dorian alone, carefully positioning himself between the Monarch and his maker, even though he knew well that if she so desired the King's death, he would truly be powerless to stop it. He idly commented how entirely unexpected the young girl's presence was and yet, he knew well she scarcely would care.

Rather, she seemed quite keen to step closer towards him, instead regaling him with the tale of what her evening had consisted of whilst insisting that he go teach someone a lesson for biting her. The notion alone sounded altogether ridiculous, particularly if she had any idea of the sort of individual he was - which, naturally, she did not. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly as she leaned forward, whispering behind her hand that the King was a terrible servant. A small scowl crossed the man's features, his voice altogether blunt as he offered quite abruptly in response. "He is not my servant. He is my….guest." That word was chosen with particular care, the man almost worried that admitting the truth of how much he cared for the man behind him would only make Dorian more of a target to her. Still, any further words he had upon the topic were distracted by Dorian's own addition of what their evening had so consisted of within his home. Briefly his crystalline eyes trailed down the length of that dress, aware of it's crumpled nature and yet, not terribly inclined to do much of it. It was that mention of trouble that drew his furrowed brows towards the King with a hint of concern, wholly inattentive to the man's fingers, much less the current state of his kitchen.

Rather, it was that notion of moving in that caused his gaze to widen, his eyebrows rising as he regarded his lover and yet, the vampire's usually pleasant nature so faltering in the wake of that simply idea of his maker invading that very sanctuary he'd built within that glamorous home. "Wait - what?" He inquired at that very mention, his gaze shifting from his lover to the young woman in front him. He was aware, to some degree, of the way Dorian's hand briefly tightened around his own and yet, his own agitation at that whole situation saw the vampire's attention to, for once, hardly linger upon the King. "No. You cannot live here." He stated simply enough, reaching up with his free hand to pinch his forehead together in a rather clear display of stress, even as Dorian stepped closer to his side. "I understand you have been….very put out, ma petite, but -- whatever happened to that orange woman you were staying with? Won't she be looking for you? I am sure she'd be splendid at hunting down that vampire that accosted you." It was decidedly typical of him, to so push her off upon someone else when he could help it, when those instincts of his own making did not pull him to her. It was quite a different shift within the man since he'd last seen the young woman, nearly declaring her his alone in front of an entire congregation of vampire's whilst now he so strove to see her out the door and on her way the moment he was very near capable. Love, it seemed, had a peculiar effect on the man, especially with the very notion of returning here to play those types of games she so enjoyed.
