However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

There was an undeniable hint of relief that filled the vampire's chest at that simple sight of that childlike figure so slumped over in the middle of that ornate red rug. Innately, he disliked so harming the woman who made him into what he was today. It was a sort of instinctual draw he had to her, a part of him that was far more feral than human and yet, even those desires were overridden by that simple and undeniable possessiveness he so held over the fae King. He was unwilling to let any harm him, much less the fangs of his species touch Dorian's flesh, even if it was his very own creator. For several moments he remained there at Dorian's side, his bright blue eyes simply staring at her fallen figure with pressed lips as if he too expected she would rise at any given moment to so punish him for that slight against her. He was certain she would not forgive him easily, just as he was certain that tonight's actions would surely only further cement the thought within her mind that he still required her careful minding. His gaze tore from the fallen girl by that simple movement of the Italian Monarch, his hand cautiously moving to rest upon Dorian's hip as his lover wrapped his arms around his neck. That kiss pressed upon his lips was entirely fleeting, the vampire unable to find any sort of comfort within Dorian's arms for as long as that child was in the room, his entire body remained stiff, clearly voicing that which he did not.

That simple inquiry caused his head to bob ever so slightly, though even he could not deny there was some level of soreness within his muscles where she'd near thrown him against the wall. Any bruises had become all but faint as his body so quickly saw fit to recover from that force, any damage done would all be but gone by the time the sun rose. Rather, a far more pressing thought had lingered upon the forefront of his mind in those moments after, one that was unwilling to relinquish its hold upon him. Dorian had, after all, been alone with the child vampire for some time before his arrival. It was unlike her to leave victims alive or conscious but he knew well she was capable of it. His hands rose to his lovers jawline, tilting the man's head upwards to get a glimpse of that gloriously pristine neck. His fingers moved down to Dorian's wrists, glancing at the inside of both before he was truly satisfied. It was a silly thing, really, to want Dorian's blood for his own only and yet, for some reason he could not truly explain, it mattered to him deeply. A soft sigh slowly left his lips as the Monarch turned from him, the pair once again faced with that conundrum of that sleeping girl. He knew well he had to do something, even before that inquiry left the fae's lips. His head bobbed and yet, the vampire remained silent for a moment before remembering some sort of explanation was required of him.

"Yes, I know someone who will take her." He stepped away from the King, pausing at that sleeping child's side. It was decidedly easy to gather her into his arms, the Englishman grabbing that doll Dorian had created for her in the process before he stood. A small frown marred his lips as he glanced back at the man he so adored, a man he now found himself near struggling not to close himself off to if only for the very real fear that his existence within Dorian's life would surely bring some harm to his boyfriend - thanks to that child that was nestled against him. "Stay here, okay Dorian? In case she wakes up, I don't want her to take my mistake out on you." He doubted sincerely that Ceara would hurt the fae either if he should come along and yet, that paranoia had hold upon him with such a fierce vice like grip. For so long, he'd done everything he possibly could to ensure Anna-Marie never discovered his home in the North or his relationship with Dorian and all of it, had been for naught. It was, he supposed, rather inevitable, what with their pictures splashed across every magazine since Dorian had stepped into the limelight and retaken his role as Italy's King. Those thoughts weighed heavily upon his mind as he stepped over the threshold of that front door and into the chilled evening air. How on earth was he going to keep Anna-Marie from returning or Dorian safe from her grasp when she cared so very little for his own overwhelming emotions for the man he so loved.
