    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

His own eyes rolled slightly at her assurance that, if she intended to punch him, she was willing to do it within his good eye if only for the sake of both their honours. The stallion inclined to find but even some touch of amusement within himself at the girls antics as his head simply nodded in agreement, the man remaining within the comfort of his chair all the same as the girl leapt from his knee to seat herself back upon the floor. Frost making some effort to attempt to explain the monetary system to her in perhaps the simplest terms he could manage when he was assured the girl held little to no prior understanding of it at all. After all, she had hardly seemed to understand the difference between men and women’s clothing, let alone how one might achieve that clothing to start with. Had she truly nothing of her own? Then again, he supposed, a lifetime of living within the forest or plains or wherever it was a coyote lived had surely rendered very little need for material possessions and even less so- a knowledge for how they might be acquired. Malia seemingly content to stare at him for several moments as he made an effort to explain. The girl either confused or annoyed about his suggestion of how money might be acquired even if he rarely choose to acquire money in exchange for actual work or services. The idea that he might force some sort of job upon her so readily saw that soft huff of air leave his lips in amusement, his head shaking softly as he regarded her evenly now, one eye arching slightly at her admittance she would rather steal a wallet then pay for it.

“No, I am not going to make you get a job. I tend to provide for my pack on my….salary. If you want extra money though it is up to you to see about getting it. I hardly care how you do it but I dislike having to bail people out of jail. So think wisely on it. Jail is a place where they lock you in a cage for things like stealing.”

That, he was sure, was sufficient enough to explain to the woman just how the justice system worked. If she wished to steal things then so be it, he required only that she did not bring her troubles back to himself and the rest off his pack. His interest then fixated more upon her clothing, his violet gaze lingering upon those torn and tattered bits of cloth that resembled the one and only other outfit she had owned. A sigh of sorts forced from his lips as he moved to rise from the chair at last. His lyrics as cool and calm as always. Frost, despite his youth, so eternally seeming far older and yet the world surely had a habit of doing such things to those whom had seen the worst of it. One hand waved lightly, gesturing for the girl to follow as he made his way to the laundry and the basket of clean clothing Claire had been working, the man fishing one of Claire’s shirts and a pair off his own jeans from within before placing them on the ground beside her.

“Shift back into your human form and put those on, we cannot shop with you wearing nothing or within your animal form. They don’t allow pets at the mall. I will be outside, do not keep me waiting.”

It was an easily offered command. The stallion stepping away to leave her in privacy then to work upon that shift she had been all too willing to practice and he moved to take himself out and onto the front lawn, the meaning leaning up against the side of the house, his hair looking near white gold in that sun as he enjoyed its heat. Waiting for Malia to organise herself. The girl taking longer then he anticipated before she finally strode out of the house. His head nodded in a moment of approval and yet, as always, praise was a rarely afforded sentiment from the often indifferent man.

“This way.”

It was, fortunately, not a terribly far walk from his own home to the nearest shopping centre. Frost content to step but marginally closer to the woman, aware that a major shopping centre might be an entirely new experience for her. The equine, despite his disdain for the world at large, was inclined to protect those few that were his own. Frost unwilling to have the woman terrified or lost within that space- his own actions remaining decidedly firm and assured, affording her something to follow as those automatic doors parted to admit them entry. Row after row of brightly lit stores spread out before them. Near all of them adorned with mannequins fitted in various outfits as the snowy haired man lead the way along them.

“Do any of these clothes catch your eye? When you see something you like, in one of the windows, tell me. Remember to choose from the female models, not the male.”
