    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

He seemed quietly amused as always that she would call humans stupid and say that she made her own decisions. He didn't say a word but his lip did that little quirk thing which told her he probably agreed with her in a way but didn't feel like voicing it. He was so odd at times, the way he'd rather just give you that mysterious smirk than just say what was on his mind. Didn't it get tiring sometimes, just keeping it all in? She didn't know how he did it. She at least knew right off that she liked the feel of the leather jacket around her shoulders. It was great insulation for warmth and it felt almost like she was in her coyote skin again without shifting. He started calling out things about colors matching and such and it all went right over her head. He's acting like there's a certain manner of putting on clothes now or something. She thought it was all summed up to putting on a shirt and putting on jeans or something so was she wrong? No one had told her she was wrong so far. It was pretty much how she saw Henry do it and she'd never seen any particular pattern in Frost's clothes.

Frost was grabbing one thing after another, like he thought she needed a million pairs of everything or something. She wondered if he lost clothes sometimes when he was shifting. She noticed early on that most were's would take their clothes off before shifting so she could do that but then there were were's that kept them on and somehow didn't rip them when shifting. It was like they just disappeared or something then reappeared when shifting back. She figured magic had to have something to do with that but then the whole shifting thing was magic in itself. She continued to sift through the clothes, not sure at all what appealed to her or what she should be grabbing. Thankfully Frost was picking things out for her or she might have wanted to leave with nothing more than the leather jacket. He seemed disapproving of the leather pants though and she couldn't see why. He liked the leather jacket but not the pants? Doesn't he know how well those would keep her legs warm?

She eyed them anyway but walked away if only because he was supposed to be the one buying today so for now, she wouldn't push it on him. When he talked about prices as if they meant something though, she scowled and listened to him say something about spending money for the sake of it. She tilted her head, her brows furrowing before she shrugged.

"Whatever. Money is stupid too."

She followed him to the counter, reminded of her shopping time with Miyako where they did this same thing but the cashier was stupid then and had to go get other outfits to scan rather than scanning the tags on what she was wearing. She felt the tiny tug of Frost pulling the tag from her leather jacket and she offered a small smirk, glad that he wasn't going to ask her to take it off or something. It was already doing a great job of keeping her warm and she wasn't wanting to take it off anyway. The attendent started scanning and the sound was a little high pitched for Malia's taste. She scowled and put her hands over her ears, glaring at the attendent like she should be able to change that noise or something. As Frost handed over the card instead of the green stuff, she furrowed her brows again in question. Miyako never really explained it, just said it was money too in a way. She took the bags Frost offered when they were done, giving one last glare to the attendent and pointing at her device for scanning.

"That thing's loud. You should turn the volume down."

The attendent simply stared at her as she turned right back around and walked out with Frost. She turned to him as he said he would explain the money card then asked if she needed anything else. She shook her head about the shoes.

"I hate shoes. They cramp my feet. Do they have leather shoes? Also, food. I'm starving."
