    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

The fact that her brother had returned from the dead had altered the routine Nadya had previously settled in. She now took more time to go to the Ark but had not shown any inclination of moving back to it. It was hard after going through her mourning process and getting her twins back full-time to expect her to suddenly send them away again to her adoptive pack and move into the Ark once more. She wasn’t entirely sure what to do but was grateful for her brother not pressing the issue. The panther still did her Beta duty and patrolled the territory, that in itself hadn’t changed. Tonight was her night off though for different reasons.

Due to her brother’s passing she hadn’t been able to bring herself to celebrate her birthday. Tonight was supposed to be not just a belated celebration of her birthday but also to celebrate finding a buyer for the burlesque. Nadya had posted it for sale some time ago and as an accomplished business it wasn’t hard to find people wanting to buy it but it was difficult to negotiate price seeing as it was an expensive investment. The price for the business was steep but for good reason seeing as there was already profit to be made for the new owner in the first month. It wasn’t a failing business that required further money to be put into it to get a return. All the stress from the previous months of losing her brother and the negotiations had been lifted and tonight was meant to be a night out in a bar with a few of the girls to dance and drink.

That had been the plan anyways. Nadya had been nearly done getting ready when the babysitter had arrived as usual to take care of them, although Nadya was going out for fun and not for patrol tonight. The routine was normal save for that and perhaps the twins had noticed the fact that their mother was getting done up. Or rather Izzy for as soon as the babysitter and begun to try and get the twins to eat was when Izzy began her meltdown. Her fussing whines turned into cries though there were no tears. It went on for nearly 30 minutes before Nadya stepped in to take over, getting Izzy from her booster seat and into the living room. “Izzy, enough now, you’re fine. Here, you can color or watch television while Micah finishes dinner.” Izzy simply shook her head and continued to whine. “What’s the matter? You love Julie and I’ll be back before you wake up like always.” Nadya’s reassurance did little to calm the child and after another 20 minutes of trying to coax the child to calm, the young mother knew she wasn’t going out tonight.

Nadya sent the babysitter home but it seemed to do little to calm Izzy down. She continued to scream and whine for another hour and nothing Nadya did seemed to be what the girl wanted...being held..scream..being put down...scream. She felt it even before she heard the knock on the door, that tingle on her skin, the prickle at the back of your neck you get when you feel like you’re being watched. It wasn’t from being watched though, not really; it was that faint bond that had been created by becoming his. This was by far one of the worst times for Frost to decide to test the boundaries Nadya had put up. He had lingered around, she had been able to sense him along with the few gifts and the calls she would hang up on as she was forced to put a fortress around her heart, but he had never crossed that border like now.

Nadya was forced to set Izzy down on the floor whom simply crumpled to lay on her back, not flailing but crying louder since she had been so unceremoniously left. Micah was quiet as he stood by the couch sucking on his pinky, watching his sister’s display with no display of emotion one way or another about it. “Izzy, you’re fine!” Nadya sighed heavily as she stalked to the door only to wrench it open and glare at the platinum blonde. “...Now isn’t a good time.”
