Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Sebastian Ellingtonfor pleasure seldom has a cure

The sight of that ivory haired assassin was hardly astonishing by any means. He had anticipated her arrival for several days, the vampire nearly surprised by how long it had taken her before she appeared on his doorstep. The Englishman could tell well that protective nature of his manservant and yet, he was hardly threatened by the woman or her abrasive behavior in any fashion, dismissing Charles despite the discontent upon his features. His attention, however, hardly lingered upon her, instead drifting back to the mare that he so cherished as he ran that brush over her grey tinged coat. Gingerly, he assured the equine that she hardly had to fear the new presence within that barn, much less the anger he suspected well that existed beneath that facade of pleasantry, a feeling he was sure Stella herself had picked up on. That dismissive tone to the young woman's voice as she saw fit to interject was met with but a small shrug to the vampire's shoulders, the man choosing, in that moment to say little on the topic. He knew well, after all, what she thought of him just as he too anticipated she'd hardly be willing to forgive him any time soon and yet, such so seemed to be the pattern with the women that frequented his lover's life.

Rather, the man offered her a rather abrupt approach to what he knew was the reason behind her presence upon his threshold, that ribbon he'd left upon her skin, the very same that refused to loosen its grip upon her flesh, powered by his own affinity where it surely shouldn't have existed at all. After all, the sooner their business was tended to, the sooner she would surely leave to stalk whatever dingy bars drew her tonight. It was, however, that question that caused that brush to stop, Sebastian's gaze darted towards her figure, his eyebrows furrowed as he considered how to best explain what he had so...gifted her with. "It is, in essence, fate." He stated simply enough, pausing but briefly before continuing. "Within this world there are threads that connect each soulmate with their other half. That is one of them." That affinity that had been bestowed upon him was one he shared with few individuals outside his own household. His maker and his lover the only two who knew of his affinity to craft and destroy those cherished relationships.

It was that shift of her figure that prompted the vampire to place that brush down, the man simply watching as she lifted her shirt to reveal that crimson thread. Idly, he inquired as to how it had healed as he crossed the distance between them. It was with tentative care that he lifted that ribbon from her skin, not entirely undoing it till he was certain the wound underneath had at least closed nicely. Sebastian glanced up only at the sound of that jab she'd taken at him and yet, the vampire hardly argued. Rather, his head bobbed as he reached over towards the bow, his fingers easily undoing that knot. "I am sure that contributed." He stated simply enough, allowing that ribbon to fall from around her frame and disappear into oblivion as if it had never existed at all. He paused once again, getting a better look before stepping away, allowing her to release that shirt as she saw fit.

Rather, Sebastian turned back towards the still tied mare, his fingers deftly working on the ropes that held the mare's head in place, fully intending to put her back within her designated stall. His actions, however, were abruptly halted only by the mention of one singular name - his entire body nearly freezing in the wake of it. It took the vampire a moment to remember to breath, his blue eyes slowly fell towards his hands as his fingers toyed at the rope. "So...you're the girl he'd been messing around with...I thought he left me for you." His eyebrows knitted together in consideration before a soft sigh left his lips, that broken promise still produced a certain sort of notable despondency within the vampire. "We were best friends when we were human. We loved each other, I think." He paused for a moment, that frown toying with his features before he continued on, moving towards the other end of that rope. Doing something made that pain within his chest lessen, ever so slightly. "We died together and then we refound each other. He promised he'd stay with me forever." The vampire continued pushing that stall open for the female. "I guess forever wasn't as long as I thought it was."
