Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Things with Amelia had been going great. He never thought he could feel this way about a vampire, let alone be in a committed relationship with one but look at him now. He knew he was only continuing to fall harder for Amelia and it both excited and terrified him. They had seen each other almost every night since that night in his hotel room. She was an addiction for him, one he wasn't planning on getting over any time soon. Everything about her from her smile to the way she touched him in certain places made him only want more. He hadn't asked her again about her dungeon. Part of him was hoping she had only been joking when she said it but the other part thought it would be sexy as hell to see her in all leather and flailing a whip. Either way, he was loving every part of their relationship. He could tell that lately, Amelia seemed distracted. It was like there was something on her mind, something she wanted to ask, but she had yet to bring it up.

He was looking forward to tonight. Of course he looked forward to every night he got to spend with her. The days seemed so much longer without her in them. He was expecting some cold drinks and a lot of romance and making out followed by the rest of it, but he would take his time as he did every night with her, because when you have eternity, the fun is acting like it could be your last night every night. He was also hoping after some drinks, she would loosen up enough to finally get whatever's on her mind off. He was a little on the nervous side if only because when a woman has something on her mind and she's hesitant to tell you, it's not always a good thing. He would hope he would have picked up on the signs if she wasn't all in this anymore, if she didn't want whatever this was anymore. She hadn't changed in her actions around him or anything. She was still sarcastic and witty and eager and oh so sexy. She never gave him a sign that she didn't want this, that she didn't want him.

He had put on some faded jeans with the rips in them and a black t-shirt, his hair gelled up and spiked just the way she seemed to like it. When he got the text from Amelia, he will admit he was a little disappointed but mostly he was worried. Did vampires even get sick? He didn't think that was a thing. It's like immortals were naturally immune to it or something. He knew he had never really been sick unless it was a fairy specific illness. So was this a vampire thing? He wondered if just soup would do it. He would probably end up offering her more blood. Maybe that would help more so. He had let her feed from him on a number of occasions. It had almost become a reflex at this point, especially during heightened emotions, like during sex. It was just a major turn on for some reason for her to bite him when they were both getting close to climax. It really pushed him over that edge and he loved it. He knew he would never let another vampire bite him but he trusted Amelia. She always made herself stop.

He stopped by the store as asked and got some soup. He wasn't sure what flavor she'd like so he grabbed an armful and some Gatorade cause that always helped to stay hydrated right? He had no idea how to take care of a sick vampire. Guess he was going to find out. He sighed, giving the cashier a sheepish grin as she rang everything up.

"Sick girlfriend."

He said with a shrug. She nodded, bagging everything but it made him feel a little more confident as he left the store. Now he would look like the knight in shining armor going to take care of his girlfriend. He could just swear he heard someone whisper if he had asked for a pregnancy test. He could only smirk and shake his head. If only they knew. That was one thing he never had to worry about with a girl like Amelia. She was a vampire therefore technically all her parts for creating life were already dead when she became a vampire. There was no way she could get pregnant. No, he just had to deal with a little vampire cold or whatever she seemed to have. No big deal. He finally made it to her house, pulling his baby into his new personalized spot in her garage. She had plenty of room and he wasn't about to park his baby out in the weather if he didn't have to. He might as well put a reserved sign in the spot but maybe that was going too far.

He went up and knocked on the door, already posed with the grocery bags held up high and a cheesy grin on his face for when she opened the door. His face faltered a little though when she opened the door in a weird looking shirt that didn't show off her curves and were those sweat pants? He didn't even know she owned sweat pants. What the hell? He scowled and put the back of his hand to her forehead as he walked in.

"Do you have a fever? I didn't think to grab a thermometer. Do you even know your normal temperature?"

He set the bags down on the counter, showing her all the cans of soup.

"I, uh, didn't know what you'd like."

He ran his fingers through his hair and gave her a sheepish smirk now, waiting for her reaction. Did he do good?
