    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

    River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold true to the victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans and the occasional brick beams.

The news that she was going to be a mother had been a hard pill to swallow. She had already come to terms that her dream of being a mother would never come true. It was the nature of her species, after all. But for some reason, she had conceived. She was going to be a mother much sooner than she expected. Unlike humans who were pregnant for 40 weeks, Amelia genuinely wasn’t sure how long she would be pregnant for. If things continued to progress as they were currently, she could probably expect to deliver in the next five to six weeks.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Troy spoke, saying that it wasn’t her fault. She still felt like it was. It was her job to at least try to prevent pregnancy and she failed to do that. Yes, she didn’t know she could get pregnant, but she still felt responsible. What was helpful, though, was that Troy didn’t seem to blame her at all for what had happened. When he mentioned the fact that they were going to be parents, she looked up at him. “Parents in 5-6 weeks…that’s insane. I’m still in shock.” She wasn’t entirely sure what to do now. How would she feed the kid? Blood? Breastmilk? She had no flipping idea.

However, before she got herself worked up and all out of sorts, she tried to focus on Troy’s beating heart. Slowly, she moved from her rather relaxed position to straddling his hips on the couch. She leaned down to kiss him softly before slowly pulling back to look down in his eyes. “I was going to ask you this before the whole pregnancy thing…but…” Her voice trailed off as she tried to get the courage to ask what was plaguing her mind. “How about we make your parking spot permanent. Troy, will you move in with me?” He practically lived here anyway. It would make her feel better to know he had a steady home instead of living in some ratty hotel room. Not to mention, she would be able to see him all the time. She was rather looking forward to waking up beside him every morning.
