and how i never ever felt so high101.180.53.52Posted On May 04, 2017 at 3:42 PM by Dorian Aragona

Just how Sebastian intended to show him those creatures at the bottom of the ocean when he surely could not swim remained a mystery to the man entirely. Dorian allowing himself to be led along that beach and towards that wooden pier that, once, he rather remembered Sebastian standing upon with a woman so wholly intoxicated she had passed out but moments later. Dorian remembering still how Sebastian had carried her through the streets in an effort to find her address before the pair had quite literally tucked her into bed. That had been but the second time he had seen his lover and quite by accident at that, his lips quirking softly at even the memory of that slowly blossoming relationship that had so steadily become a matter of outright courting but a week later when Sebastian had arrived at his door with that flower. To think but a year had passed and they had found themselves visiting this place once more! This time entirely purposefully and entirely together. That initial lust so having shaped itself over that year into that far more encompassing love. Although, perhaps Dorian was wholly willing to admit, his lust for Sebastian had hardly lessened in any sense all the same. Dorian still sure he positively craved the man as much as he ever had.

Those idle thoughts of that evening were abruptly forgotten in the wake of that boat, the Monarch’s eyes widening slightly in both surprise and indeed a ready inquisitiveness as to just why his lover so deemed a boat trip to be necessary. The Fae so allowed himself to be led onto that deck area and further along, greeting that captain politely as he did. Dorian quite assured the boats he recalled had been far more vast then this and yet- as they pressed further down into that observational area it was that glorious glass floor that seemed to see the man suddenly hesitate. Dorian so veritably jerking Sebastian back in turn for some fear that the water might have somehow entered the boat or that they were, indeed, vastly more prone to sinking. His near ancient mind quite unable to process the function of that glass floor for several long moments as that brief touch of panic seemed to flutter nervously within him. It was quite unlike anything he had ever seen before! That glass surely fooling his eyes into the belief the water was somehow within the boat itself, not to mention his concern over boat so crafted of glass to begin with! What if they were to strike something? Those fears fluttered rapidly within his mind as he so struggled in that understanding. His gaze flickered briefly to Sebastian’s own as those decidedly French lyrics left the vampires lips in some assurance that it was entirely alright.

Sebastian would not willingly allow any harm to come to him- of that he was assured. The vampire too- seeming to have stood upon that floor for a minute or two rather successfully without either sinking or further becoming soaked. Dorian tentatively allowing himself to be led down and onto that floor and over to those seats close to the bow of the ship, the Fae King so making himself comfortable beside his lover and yet, sitting, it seemed, was an idea that inclined him very little the moment the true purpose of that glass flooring so seemed to become apparent to him. Dorian on his feet once more the moment those fish and corals beneath seemed to finally capture his attention. How ingenious an invention this was! The Monarch unable to half that glorious grin that readily seemed to spread across his features at the realisation of just what he was seeing before him, the man crouching down slightly to rest a hand upon that glass, if only to better understand it before turning back to his consort. That smile very much in place as the man so marvelled at what existed before him! His lip quirking all the more at Sebastian’s assurance it was ‘smashing’. Dorian having become quite used to those British phrases over the year. The Fae inclined to find them entirely endearing.

“It is, very much so. I have never seen anything such as this before.”

He uttered softly, almost distractedly, another fish seeing his attention shift towards it. Dorian entirely inclined to offer Sebastian that knowledge then that he had gleaned from those books the man had brought him and Dorian had all but devoured in his eternal quest for knowledge. Whether Sebastian truly desired to know such details of the oceanic life remained to be scene, Dorian an entirely enthusiastic teacher while Sebastian so played that role of dutiful student all the same. The Monarch’s ability to retain information a decidedly astounding thing as he so repeated those readings near word for word. Identifying each fish in turn as he settled beside the vampire once more. His silver gaze flicking towards those cod Sebastian pointed out in turn, the man proudly announcing them to be the fish in those fish and chips he so delighted in. Ah, but of course his lover should find those fish! Dorian chuckling but softly at the idea the vampire should manage to find those out of every other creature beneath them. It was the sound of those other passengers boarding above that momentarily drew his eyes away from the ocean below, Dorian leaning to the side to capture Sebastian’s lips in his own once more- the Fae quite content to show his appreciation for such a thing as this in that all-too ardent kiss. Dorian leaning back at last to mutter those words of amusement in regards to Sebastian’s shirt and the way it clung to his toned figure in a fashion that was wholly distracting. The vampire’s assurance that those women had noticed his own figure seeing that warm simper return. Crumpet a decidedly new word. One Dorian hardly found he minded in any sense.

“Ah, Mon Cher, but they only get to look. You get to touch.”

His lips pressed but teasingly to the side off his lover’s cheek then, his shoulder easily pressing back against Sebastian’s own in that small touch of affection before the sudden rumbling of that boat into life saw him tense abruptly. How was the boat to move without a sail?! This movement entirely unexpected. Sebastian’s hand resting against his knee in reassurance to seeing the man settle a little before that changing scenery beneath them seemed to render the movement of the boat entirely forgettable. It was those stingrays that danced below that seemed to ensnare his attention. Dorian scowling slightly at the knowledge they were within this water at all. Surely people should not be swimming near them? Dorian, perhaps, maintaining those age old prejudices of the ocean all the same. Even despite his ever-growing understanding off it. The Monarch content to inform his consort that he rather disliked the idea of him getting in the water at all with such creatures, his head nodding in assurance before Sebastian so sheepishly announced that he had, once, swum at night with stingrays and sharks in a place so called the Maldives the Monarch was assured he need remember to look up. Dorian’s eyes widening slightly.

“In the dark? When they feed? I would worry about you all night. They appear to be very mistrustful creatures to me. I don’t know how you did it.”

There was, after all, a certain amount of awe the Fae King so felt for his lover in that moment to be brave enough to get in the water at all let alone with stingrays and sharks. Two creatures Dorian was assured were not to be trusted at the best of times. That soft utterance of his name drew his attention away from that circling stingray beneath, his silver-hued gaze instead turned towards that pod of Dolphins the vampire had discovered, his features so shifting into that look of delight once more at such a sight as this! This but the very first time in but the entirety off his life he had ever seen a real dolphin at all outside of those pictures in his books. They were far bigger then he had envisioned in any sense, far swifter too in their movements, Dorian wholly disappointed at their need to keep diving beneath the surface and prevent him from getting a truly good look at them. The man entirely fixated upon watching them all the same. The man admitting softly.

“In my own time the sailors used to return to my Father’s palace after months at sea with the most wonderful tales. They used to speak of mermaids, do you know about those? I think perhaps it was these dolphins they were seeing instead. I have never seen a dolphin before.”

That warm simper danced upon his lips still. Dorian content to watch those creatures until they so at last veered away from that boat. The Monarch displeased to see them leave and yet with that glass floor once more beneath them his attention was quickly captivated elsewhere. Dorian determined to tell Sebastian (and most of the boat) of at least ten more of those fish species. One man content to ask Dorian several other questions about them in turn. This seeming to delight the Fae entirely before the boat so at last returned to the jetty and Dorian’s hand moved to entwine with Sebastian’s own again. The man hardly caring that all the boat might surely see that gesture. The Monarch becoming all the more content is those more public displays of affection. After all, it was not as if the world at large did not know of them any longer even if they might not be so directly recognised here. Dorian casting but a final look at that glass floor.

“Thank you for showing me this.”

He would not forget it, of that he was assured. Dorian allowing Sebastian to lead the way from that boat once more and back onto that pier. The day it seemed, having shifted into late afternoon. Dorian leaning upon the railing of that dock to peer into the water below and briefly out across that ocean before turning back to the vampire once more, his features frowning slightly before that touch of amusement seemed to find him. One hand reaching abruptly forward to let his fingers brush against his lovers arm.

“You, I think, so got just a little too much sun there.”

Sun cream, it seemed, was one thing. Reapplying it another. Sebastian’s arm hardly burned in any sense. More so, it simply sported that slightly pink look from a little too much warmth. Dorian grinning softly at the colour and life that so captivated his lover’s skin now. His gaze lifted to the vampire own once more.

“Is there anything else you care to do, Mon Cher? Or shall we make our way back to our hotel?”
