if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
Abigail had the utmost trust in the whole wide world for her undead companion. She hadn't even considered the possibility of him dropping her, at least, not until she was already airborne. He was going to catch her...right?! RIGHT?! Thank God - he did! Her body pressed all too eagerly against his frame, her head nuzzling into the palm of the man's hand as he rubbed behind her ears. Oh yeah, that felt sooooo goooodd. In fact, he was scratching just the right place to elicit a purr from reverberating within the young woman's throat. Keep going - right there! Her efforts to get the best possible ear rub, however, was interrupted by that inquiry that left his lips, the vampire so inviting her to tag along to that job. A job?! This was exciting! Frankly, she was quite proud of him for getting a job! Regardless of what it was. It was definitely better then stealing cars and taking cash from wallets- maybe he could be a real man after all and then her Mom wouldn't be so disappointed in her! This sounded like a fantastic idea and so, naturally, Abigail just had to see this through! The girl leapt upon the man's shoulder with a rather vocalized bark, her head nuzzling into his cheek before burying herself into the hood of that navy blue sweatshirt she'd purchased Arlo for Christmas. That confirmation on if she was coming was met with an all too ready bark. Arlo better believe she was coming! First mate Abigail prepared for duty, Captain!

Her hazel eyes were attentive as ever as the vampire led the way down the street and towards their destination. The girl was hardly unaware of the fashion he weaved in and out of those people that so congregated upon the street, hurrying to their own homes. She hadn't considered, however, that he might have hungered for them or the peculiarity of him not considering them at all. After all, they often remained within the man's dingy apartment, beyond that evening when he had that giant, gaping owie in his shoulder. That had been an eventful evening. It was her companion's voice that drew the young girl's attention from her idle thoughts, the mention of that other vampire saw her ears perk up ever so slightly if only for how utterly important he had been to her friend. After all, Arlo had all but gone on and on about how utterly good this man tasted! It was almost like he was some sort of glorified chocolate bar! She would have been excited to share her quest for an epic chocolate bar too and so, Abigail was particularly attentive to the story of this one. The girl chirped quite happily as Arlo so relayed he'd even gotten to eat his delicious chocolate man, much less that they'd gone to a party too! With cake!

Cake was a whole topic all on it's own, the auburn panda was content to chatter on about cake, those chirps and squeaks so leaving her lips before she realized, well, she couldn't tell Arlo about that cake. Ugh! And she'd gone through so much trouble getting Alexis those cakes. They'd tried SO many and and...well….she thought he would have liked to hear about her cake adventure. A small pout crossed the little panda's features at this realization of what she'd so confined herself to and yet, it somehow felt like a lie to inform him now that she was capable of shifting. She was in too deep! Still, she hardly missed that grin that crossed his features, the young panda falling silent in the wake of it to listen to those details of his chocolate hunt. Clearly he really was some sort of legendary chocolate level if all the girls at the party wanted him! Vaguely, Abigail found herself wondering what sort of chocolate he'd be. Definitely white, right? White was the sweetest. Like a whole luxury himself. She wondered what vampire personified as white chocolate would even look like? Maybe she'd get to meet Arlo's chocolate friend one day. That'd be nice right? He did, after all, call this man a friend -- and wait. WAIT. HE CALLED HER A FRIEND TOO DIDN'T HE?!

A altogether excited squeak left her lips as she leaned forward, letting her tongue lick the man's cheek. The girl was entirely inattentive to those glimpses of those passersby, much less how utterly astounding their relationship must have been to any outside onlookers. All that mattered to her right now was her friend. Hear that! F - R - I - E - N - D. FRIEND! Her exuberance, however, was interrupted by that pull of the hoodie over their heads, that action alone made the female tuck closer towards the fabric, hiding within the darkness of those colors as best as she could. After all, Arlo only ever did this when he didn't want them to be noticed and Abigail...well she stuck out like a glowing star in a black sky. She could even glow like a star. The comparison was uncanny. Nevertheless, the girl remained as hidden as possible as the pair made their way into a bar, Abigail's hazel eyes inquisitively glancing over that near pristine interior. Arlo, it seemed, was equally as impressed. That soft call was quickly returned by the presence of a young man, one Abby watched with bright, keen eyes as he shook hands with her vampire. It took him a bit to notice her and yet any attempts Abby would have made to introduce herself were near ruined by the fellow's insistence that she was a health code violation.

She kind of knew what that meant. It meant she wasn't allowed in here - right? She supposed she understood. After all, exotic animals were really allowed to just run free in bars. She could wait outside till Arlo finished. She'd be like a faithful puppy!! At least, such was her plan before Arlo spoke up, insisting that she was his. There was something silly about that simple statement that made her heart flutter, much less the man's insistence to keep her even despite the danger she posed for his lil gig. Thankfully, the fellow in front of him seemed quick to back down, at least, until those specifics of that job came tumbling out of his mouth. The girl was altogether aware of that hint of hope in his voice at the idea of playing (HE PLAYED? WHAT DID HE PLAY? COULD HE STILL PLAY? Maybe she'd get him an instrument or something -- were they expensive? She might have to get her own job..) and the disappointment that this gig consisted instead of only moving things. It wasn't until they were alone that the girl attempted to offer him a quiet, encouraging bark. The girl shifted towards his shoulder before hopping out of the man's hoodie and onto the amp, her balance wavering for a second before her tailed flicked quite proudly as she glanced back up at him. Yup. THIS is where they were starting. This one. Right here.
