if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
The notion of having a whole room dedicated to those little cactuses was wholly exciting to the little panda. She was so used to being outside, to having nature as a part of her life, even in that tiny little house she'd grown up in. It was her biggest complaint of that metropolis - it simply wasn't green enough! There was lots of greys and reds and blues but….those green hues called to her! This little cactus was something she had every intention of looking after. Her little nose twitched as she sniffed it and yet, the woman was entirely weary of the plant like object and it's sharp pointed leaves. She was oblivious, truly, to the considerations that crossed Arlo's mind - that this might have been a show of his maker's care. It was a notion she would have fully backed had she known, for now, however, the little panda was vastly more curious of those other objects plucked from that box, those pieces of paper equally as baffling to her as they were to her companion. She understood perhaps just as much as he did, the little panda almost inclined to provide the man with her best attempt of a shrug. That phone, however, was a whole different matter altogether. Even Arlo seemed wholly astonished as that black screen flickered to life only for lines and lines of...well, nonsensical words began to scroll down that screen.

Her gaze darted to her companion as that panic so seemed to fill the man, the young little were hardly expecting the way he seemed to protest that power he somehow knew had been bestowed upon him in those moments. She watched with a near tentative chirp upon her lips as Arlo near threw that phone back in that box, jamming the lid down far faster than even she was sure was warranted. Abigail could near sense that change within him, that anxiety radiated from his frame in a fashion she had never felt upon him, the girl entirely drawing closer towards his frame as her petite figure began to vibrate in some effort to reassure him. Her purrs hardly ceased as those fingers tentatively rose to bury themselves within her russet colored fur. What she wouldn't have given to give that man a hug he seemed to so desperately need, to reassure him that it would be okay. Even if he didn't lose that power, that's all it was, right? Just a power. She had fancy shmancy powers. They weren't really...useful, per se, but they weren't scary and she was certain that his wasn't scary either!

At least, she thought his weren't scary until, quite suddenly, they were plunged into darkness. Okay, so...maybe that was a bit unexpected. Arlo was on his feet well before Abigail had a chance to react, her barking suddenly turned frenzied as he moved to leave, leaving her precious planty plant behind! Not Mr. Plant! It was her planty plant! Thankfully, the man seemed to take the hint, scooping up that little cactus and placing it back into that box before pivoting and heading towards the door. Abigail fell silent the moment she was assured her little friend was tucked in safe and sound. She could hardly help the anxiety that filled her small frame as Arlo collided into his friend, their pair near bickering about the vampire's attempts to leave. This could go very very bad. The little panda stayed tucked into that oversized hood, her little frame attempting to flatten against her companion's shoulders as a mere five dollar bill was shoved into the vampire's hands. She could feel that discontent within her companion as he scowled, shoving past the fellow and through that bar before they stumbled into the alley.

The sudden noise behind them caught her attention and yet, Abigail hardly dared to move from that place within his hood. That incessant beeping was hardly ignored by the little panda, her hazel eyes turning inquisitively towards that box and yet, she made no effort to encourage her companion to open it. After all, he already seemed perturbed enough as it was. Fortunately, Arlo was not nearly as patient as she was, the man lasting no longer than a block before he tentatively picked that lid of the box to fish the beeping device from its depths. Slowly, she peeked out from her place within the depths of that hood, eying those words on the screen in the same fashion he did. Her head tilted to the side as Arlo seemed content to talk to it before wildly pressing buttons. Oh god, even she knew that was not how you treated phones! This was not going to end well! The girl rose a single paw, almost making an effort to cover her gaze with it before that sigh of defeat left her companion's lips. That was...probably for the best. Her little ears perked ever so slightly as Arlo's attention returned to her, the man declaring that, clearly, they required a computer.

She watched as he suddenly changed course, that rather large building soon towering over them in a way that made Abigail's gaze widen ever so slightly. Her college campus had a library but she had yet to venture into there. Some days, simply navigating all those people and winding corridors felt almost too much for her. She was bound to get the layout of it eventually, it was just...taking some time. The girl hardly expected the warmth the washed over her as they strode into that Library, and yet, the heat paled in comparison to those sheer number of books! A soft gasp left her lips as her hazel eyes traced the spines of ALL of those shelves upon shelves upon SHELVES of BOOKS. Did Alexis know of this place?! She must love it here! Why didn't she say this place existed?! Her gaze eyed each of those rows that Arlo passed on the way to the back of that Library, the man settling upon that chair. For several moments, the girl was entirely in attentive to Arlo's working of that computer, her gaze still ogling the world she found herself surrounded by, at least, until the man began to mumble to himself….or her. Probably her.

A soft huffing sound left her lips, her head bobbing in agreement and yet, the girl hardly dared to provide him with her signature bark. She was attempting to censor herself here! She watched as Arlo typed in the things written down on that paper only for that page to suddenly change. Ha! Success!! She stared at that number upon the screen just as blankly as Arlo did before the man suggested they look around that library considering they were left with mere video game money! Abigail could hardly deny that she did, indeed, want to wander those rows for hours and hours but...she supposed figuring out what Arlo's Patrick had left him was more important for now. After all, if it was video game money then they needed to know what video game! Maybe he wanted them to play it? They could play a game to honor his memory, right? She'd never played a video game before! Yes, this was a good idea. Investigator Abby on the case!!

Tentatively, the young woman peeked out of that hood, glancing right, then left, then right again before she slowly crawled out of that hood and off of Arlo's shoulders, settling closely to the man's chest upon that desk in front of him. Okay! Step one! Get mouse to address bar. She could do that! The little panda nudged at Arlo's hand upon that mouse with her nose, willing him to either move his hand or move the mouse in the direction she desired. It took several nudges and glances to and from that monitor before she got that little white pointy thing to where it needed to go. Her paw pressed upon the button (and Arlo's hand) only for that little tail to wiggle in a delighted fashion at her success. Step two! Search! She shifted on that desk to settle in front of that keyboard, her tail flicking till it fell off the desk and twitching slightly in Arlo's lap. Abigail eyed that keyboard for a moment, her tongue sticking out in concentration as she attempted to use the very tip of her claws to type in those letters. It took a few efforts, and some backspacing, but eventually, in a rather flourished show of excitement, the girl's paw pressed that Enter button, letting whatever the default search engine on that computer take over.

The screen changed to those search results, the first few items across the top were mere news articles about...China's miners? Okay, so this was a chinese mining game? There was something about 'P2P money' before those hazel eyes fell upon an article at the bottom of the monitor. That had a dollar sign in front of it! She knew dollar signs! The girl leaned forward, pressing her nose against that link only to turn her gaze back to Arlo, clearly attempting to direct his attention there. Click on that! What was that! What did this mean?!
