    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

With the way things had been left between them, the were King was near surprised that Vhalla hadn't launched herself at him in some fool hearted attempt to fight him for slighting her - or something equally as ridiculous. He had been entirely truthful when he had stated she was near childish in nature. After all, he'd never met anyone so utterly yearning to provoke him...except for perhaps Frost….and Risque. His head shook ever so slightly, pulling his thoughts from such dark places as he inquired what had happened to the cabinet she was attempting to repair. His emerald eyes remained steady upon her as she offered him a rather deep sigh, her own bright blue eyes turning to face it with some measure of frustration. Her insistence that she lacked the tools to repair it caused his gaze to linger upon the fixings from his own position, the man content to consider it even if he had rather limited knowledge with fixing things. After all, for the majority of his life he had been a prized pet. There had been no freedom for things to break or for him to attempt some manly effort to engage himself with carpentry or...whatever this was considered. Tetradore gaze darted back up towards him as she commented on those other repairs required for that house.

A small shrug crossed his shoulders at her assurance that she would have the apartment fixed for him soon and yet, truly, Tetradore was not in any major rush. "Take your time, like I said, I haven't decided what to do with it anyways." He paused, letting that silence drift between them before his lips parted to add, "There's a tool kit in the laundry room in the cabinets above the dryer. I made sure there was everything necessary for small repairs." His attention turned away from her as he stepped further into that familiar flat, even if the smell of his ex-girlfriend had all but vanished from it. He eyed the sofa for a moment, the oddity of those burn marks upon the floor and that once pristine leather made him pause and yet, there was hardly a hint of anger in his voice as he inquired incredulously what had happened to it. There had to have been some story there - Samantha had not usually been of the tendency to set her things on fire. Unless her roommate was of that variety but he'd never met the man to judge for himself. Instead, his attention turned back towards the assassin as she stepped closer towards him and that sofa.

He hadn't expected the woman to confess that she was the cause of that damage to the floor and the couch, though he supposed it made perfect sense. After all, fire did fall under her realm and she was rather...unpredictable with it. Nevertheless, the man listened in silence as she mentioned that evening he'd found her so sluggishly making her way back home. That name she offered him meant particularly little and yet, he supposed it hardly mattered as she tried to find some sort of silver lining in that incident. A small shrug crossed his shoulders, his emerald eyes turned back towards that sofa. "I guess it could have been in worse condition…" He commented, though really it was practically unsalvageable as it was. Any considerations to fixing this problem, however, were ruined by Vhalla's comment that she had every intention of seeing the couch replaced at the floor pulled up and relaid, that final acknowledgement that this was no one's fault but her own, however, saw a singular eyebrow raise as the man regarded her with a vague hint of suspicion. Something had clearly changed within the woman if she was so whole-heartedly willingly to take the blame for this. It simply wasn't like her. Usually it followed with a 'but' of some kind. Kind of like, oh I almost killed you with fire but you shouldn't have been in the way. Not this….responsibility. This was new. Still, he supposed he should reward that personal growth somehow, if only to show that he too acknowledged that change within her. "Thank you." Those two words, although decidedly simple, were rare to fall from Tetradore's lips.

His own gaze followed hers as she turned towards the window, the man simply watched her as that gentle breeze so delicately caressed her skin. He watched as she slowly turned to lean against that windowsill. Tetradore remained wholly attentive as she started speaking of their last day together and those heated words the two so exchanged. His eyebrows furrowed as she admitted she was frustrated and upset. He was quiet for a moment, considering that apology and though he neither truly offered his own or acknowledged her's. He did, however. still make an effort to mend things. "Why were you upset?" He inquired, willing to so discuss those emotions that had so prompted that day if it fixed things between them - why it mattered to him so much, he wasn't sure and yet, for some reason, fixing things just felt right.
