    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Although these houses are somewhat small (often two to three bedrooms) they feature back yards, porches, garages and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and for the neighborhood as a whole.

    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

aiden tetradore

Tetradore himself knew that time would surely not be kind to him. That forced choice was near inevitable, though truly, choosing between his best friend and his sibling was perhaps his worst nightmare. It was perhaps the only saving grace that Tobias would surely have followed him anywhere and yet...could he truly force Tobias to choose between himself and his mate? No. No he could not. Maybe Nadya was right, maybe he did always choose the boy over her and yet ever since his reunion with her, she had never truly been there for him in the way that deviant had. Was it selfish of him to ask them to follow him into her pack? Was it selfish of him to deny her that request? That soft sigh left his lips, the sound momentarily followed by a similiar one of the young woman across from him. He appreciated that she empathized with him - it was more than he often received, not that many truly cared to hear the feelings of the young were-King. That admittance that perhaps both were selfish only caused a hint of hopelessness to so invade his chest. He knew what he'd choose - who he'd choose. Perhaps that was all that mattered. A soft grunt left his lips in acknowledgement of what she uttered. No truer words had ever been spoken, he was sure.

He knew, innately, what his gut said and her insistence that he would not allow his own pack to be destroyed only further solidified his choice. Even so, Tetradore was almost thankful that the young woman was willing to let that conversation drift onwards, his own idle observation of the way she near savored that chocolate hardly went unnoticed by the man. It reminded him of how he had once near scarfed such treats down when they were denied from him for so long. It wasn't often, really, that Tetradore spoke of those years he'd spent within Risque's care and yet, he was willing enough to share the extents he used to go to for those very delectable treats they held in their hands. He nodded as she repeated those words and yet, that announcement that everyone surely required a cookie every once in awhile was only met with a small grin on his features. "Yeah, everyone does." He repeated, placing the last bit of his own sweet treat into his mouth. Thank God he'd bought a whole dozen of them. That assurance that she didn't think she could ever get tired of them was met with a small shrug of his shoulders. "Well, now you can have them whenever you want." Tetradore continued, leaning back against that wall behind him as he watched her devour them.

It was only in the aftermath of those sweets that he inquired of her leg, the man studying it with a hint of approval of how well she had healed. She could certainly move on from this city now, if she so desired and yet, for some reason, she had lingered and, in turn, Tetradore was almost inclined to wish that she stayed. Her idle comment of how nice that dingy, bare apartment was produced little more then a snort from his nose as he shook his head, willingly declaring the place as utter shit in comparison to that apartment he owned closer towards the Ark, much less his own little suite upon that large floating cargo ship. That laughter that left her lips caught him off guard and yet, he supposed he'd forgotten the desperation and paranoia those months after he found his own freedom. That insistence that this was paradise if only for that - freedom - was a concept he understood well. "No truer words have ever been spoken." He commented softly, his gaze shifting over that little apartment once again. Even though he recognized that the apartment was lackluster - he did still own it, if only for just-in-case situations like this.

It was the repetition of his efforts to name their little fort, however, that drew his gaze, that small quirk of her lips caused his own to twitch upwards ever so slightly. She had no idea, truly, how utterly tempting it was to simply remain here tonight. It was silly, really, that he didn't want to face Tobias or Raven knowing well of the choice that was demanded of him. He didn't want to explain to them the ultimatum his sister had near declared or the fact that she was no longer apart of them. He preferred to procrastinate on the whole affair - as if that would simply make it go away. Her inquiries of his fort skills, however, produced far more questions within her than he had anticipated. His emerald eyes briefly met the gold of her own in those moments after, attempting to decide just what he intended to tell her, how much he intended to reveal. A soft sigh left his lips as his gaze finally drifted away from her to elaborate just enough to provide her some further insight into his own life. "We lived in the woods with our pack. Our forest was set on fire to drive us out. My sister and my best friend and I were the only ones who escaped. None of us knew the others had made it out alive - perhaps if we'd grown up together, things would be different now but…." He shrugged ever so slightly as if to question what it mattered now. It was too late to play what-ifs anyways. They had been torn apart as children and now, as an adults, that chasm that now rested between them was too great to span.

Loosing everything was rough but, then again, so was starting over again. There was no reason, really, why she had to endure all that he had upon discovering her freedom, not when he was in a position to help. Her name fell softly from his lips and near immediately he was rewarded with her full attention. He paused before informing her of that apartment he had within his possession, one far nicer than this dingy studio. He watched her as she seemed to struggle with the notion of finally having a place to settle down and yet, after a moment, a near grin traced her features. The fact that she was willing, however, brought a small nodd to his features, his lip twitching upwards as she stated she needed to see it first. "I thought when you were free, it didn't matter where you were?" He commented, quite clearly teasing her of now having a need to see the place when she had been so nonchalant before. That thank you, however, merely caused his shoulders to shrug once again, and yet, that offer to do something for fun was merely met with a curious glimpse. There wasn't much Tetradore did for 'fun', the poor man far more often had been under the weight of that pack drama and his own businesses and yet, if she was so determined, he wasn't going to complain. "All right, you have a deal." Tetradore commented, throwing those words back at her with the same easy. Fun. What a novel concept.
