However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Sebastian Ellington

That anxiety that laced the fae King had been near palpable to the vampire - from the fluttering beat of his heart to his near inability to remain still. The impending afternoon had a fashion of near undoing his usually placid and collected King. Sebastian had tried, truly, to reassure his lover in every fashion he was capable of. And when that failed, he'd resorted to distraction. It was a feat he was altogether capable of, at least, until the sun so stole away his very life, sending the vampire tumbling into oblivion with but whispered words on his lips that everything would surely work out to the best. He had every faith not only in Dorian but also within Matteo himself. In fact, the vampire was already certain the elder fae had surely over analyzed every plausible future that singular conversation might take them. They were cut from the same cloth in more ways than one, even if neither was willing to admit it. He despised, truly, leaving Dorian to face his fears by himself and yet, for today, that trust would surely have to be enough.

He was entirely oblivious to the way in which Dorian so seemed to toss and turn at his side, his own body cold and pale and still in the presence of that sun. The vampire failed to stir at that soft press of the Monarch's lips against his cheek. The man only shifted ever so subtly as that source of heat fled from his bed that grip of death upon him was far too great to prompt any true reaction from him - as it so often was. It wasn't until hours later that some glimpse of life filled his frozen frame, stirring the vampire sluggishly from the very depths of death. He was near immediately aware of the absence of Dorian at his side. The vampire eternally despised waking up alone, though he supposed that the King's absence was likely a good sign. That, along with the steady beat of Dorian's heart against his finger had a way of reassuring the man that the evening had hardly been disastrous. A small yawn left his lips as he slowly moved to sit on the edge of the bed, his hand running through his hair as he leaned upon his knees. He was hardly prepared for the way that door opened but moments later, his blue hued eyes turned upwards just in time for the fae to slip into his lap.

A warm simper crossed his features as Dorian's arms wrapped around his neck, his own lips pressed gingerly against his boyfriend's own. "Good morning." He uttered in response, his own tone distinctly accented in the wake of that sleep that still clung to him. He was oblivious, truly, to the way his lover so seemed to enjoy that sight of him, still exhausted and uncomposed. His lips parted, fully intending to inquire after how that encounter went only to find the man nestled within his lap quick to satisfy his own curiosities. Sebastian could hardly help that soft sound of relief that left his lips. "Oh thank goodness, I was worried I'd have to coerce it out of him." He muttered, willing to now admit the truth that he had known for far longer than he had let on. This secret of Dorian's parentage had certainly not been his place to reveal and yet, he could hardly help the fact that the truth of this had lifted a weight off his shoulder. Sebastian disliked keeping such things so purposefully from the man he so adored.

Father aside, he was hardly inattentive to those very topics the Monarch now wished to inform him of. The vampire gingerly reached up to run his thumb across Dorian's cheek in a display of affection. "I can't wait to hear everything, Ma Bichette." He uttered softly, pressing his lips once again against the fae's. He was inclined to let that kiss linger - for just a moment before he knew he'd be required to pull himself from that bed. That assurance that Dorian had not yet spoken to his father of his own request, much less that Matteo was alone with Elizabeth was enough to prompt some sort of movement from him. Even so, he could hardly help the way he rolled his eyes. "All right, all right….I'll get up….really you'd think that girl would be doing something useful. It's not like she doesn't have an exam to study for." He grumbled and yet, he was not terribly surprised, really, that the woman was so enamored with the Frenchman. After all, Dorian himself was utterly captivating even to that incubus of a vampire. The Englishman was certainly not unaware of where his lover so gained some of those traits that so made him bewitching. "I suppose we shouldn't keep him waiting too long. He might vanish on us." He continued, coaxing the King off of his lap only so that he could rise and find some resemblance of clothing.

It took a few moments, really, before he was able to ruffle his hair into something presentable, his clothes hardly fretted over in the same fashion Dorian had and yet, it was only once that signature cologne was upon his wrists that Sebastian was willing to announce himself ready to face the fae King's father. He allowed his lover to lead the way down those stairs, his nose twitching at the scent of those sweets even he could smell, hours later. "Good evening, Matteo." He commented briefly, the vampire wholly distracted by that dessert tray. He eyed them quite critically, sniffing at them with the knowledge that, somewhere amongst that tower, there was chocolate. It took him a moment to find it, fishing that brown bar from the depths of those cakes and scones. "You should come over more often if just being here convinced them to make all of this." He commented, casually falling back into one of the chairs before taking a bite of that light brown colored brownie. The chocolate near oozed from the depths of that seemingly innocent bar, the vampire wholly unable to help that sound of satisfaction from the back of his throat. Oh yes, this was exactly what his tea party was missing.
