Sebastian Ellington

That delight the vampire took in that distinctly English tea party was certainly clear upon the man's features as he regarded that table and its accompanying spread. It had been far too long since he'd truly had guests and thus, just a long since either Elizabeth or Charles had been required to fall into those roles he wholly expected from them. Though his gaze had a way of so lingering upon those sweets, the vampire was entirely aware of that young woman as she moved abruptly around that table to pour his own tea before near vanishing into the kitchen and out of sight. His attention, however, soon settled steadfast upon discovering that source of that scent his otherwise heightened predatory sense so detected amongst those sweet smells. Somewhere, there was chocolate. It was, perhaps, silly that the predator within him with so keen to rise to the occasion when it came to such confectionary goodness. Even so, it hardly took him long to pluck that brownie from the depths of that tray, the man settling within his seat only to bask in that taste of that gooey hazelnut center of that treat, a soft sound of satisfaction reverberated in the back of his throat all the same.

That inquiry of what it was hardly stopped the vampire from indulging in that creamy, sweet substance, even as Matteo's gaze briefly slid to the item in his hand. Dorian's admittance that he had never had the hazelnut spread within, however, saw the vampire pause, even if it was with marked hesitance. He could near feel the weight of his lover's bright silver eyes in that inquisitive manner and yet, for a moment, Sebastian found himself near struggling to decide to put that final bite within his mouth or share it with the man he so adored. His gaze drifted between that treat and those intrigued silver eyes before a soft sigh of defeat left his lips as he handed that bite to the fae Monarch. He was altogether aware of that teasing tone to the fae King's lips as he took that offered bite of Sebastian's discovery and yet, the Englishman merely offered him a near nonchalant shrug. "I suppose I do - but only for tonight." He countered, his words entirely playful despite the deadpan tone in which they were so delivered. Chocolate was so greatly valued by the vampire that Dorian alone was the only soul he'd ever even considered sharing such a delectable treat with. It was a fact the fae King seemed equally as aware of.

He watched as Dorian placed that piece of brownie within his mouth, his features shifting as those tastes clearly assaulted his tongue. The fact that it was so utterly different was hardly surprising in the slightest and yet, he was almost disappointed the fae did not so eagerly jump upon that flavor with the same vigor he had when first discovering it. "It's made with hazelnuts. They give it that different flavor." He commented as he plucked that cup from the saucer to so sip upon the tea within. That inquiry if they had any more, however, was met with a ready nodd. "There should be some in the pantry. It's bloody delicious on toast." It wasn't often, truly, that either man was given to eat beyond Sebastian's insistence after taking the blood from his lover's veins and yet- there were days when even that immortal vampire craved tastes from his time as mere mortal. He allowed that talk of chocolate spread, however, to shift as the Frenchman across from him complimented him the capabilities of his staff before continuing to his own plans to return to France and, in turn, the fae King's interactions with that Dark Hunter he had spoken so highly of. Sebastian was content to merely listen to that idle chatter between father and son as he sipped upon that tea, at least, until his own manservant intervened with softly whispered words.

His eyebrows rose in an ever inquisitive fashion and yet, Sebastian hardly questioned after what the pair were up to. Rather, he allowed the Monarch to excuse himself and, in turn, leave him alone with Matteo. He took that opportunity of Matteo's own distraction to so eye that thread that existed amongst the man's ring finger, that color nearly unnoticeable and yet, Sebastian suspected he knew well exactly what it meant. His consideration of the meaning he'd so inferred from his affinity, however, was distracted only by that softly spoken comment of appreciation that the vampire had so held his tongue of Dorian's parentage. Sebastian, however, was not nearly as appreciative of such an acknowledgement of his unwilling role as confidant. His lips pressed together in a hard line, his voice decidedly firm, a tone more often used for ill behaving servants then the father of the love of his life and yet, in this Sebastian was utterly resolute. That assurance that Matteo had little intention of putting him in such a place again was met with a small nod and yet, he hadn't expected that Matteo so liked him simply due to his unwavering loyalty to Dorian. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as Matteo declared that he innately knew not only the sort of man he was, but too that it was this simple fact that so caused him to trust in the vampire to keep his only son safe.

In a way, the idea was near laughable, here he was, feasting upon his son - with his own ex-wife dying when he could have prevented it and yet, Matteo trusted him with Dorian? He wanted to keep some measure of good relation with him when all else in the man's life tended to near abhor him? It was...unexpected and yet, that very thing somehow saw the vampire relax in that chair. He considered those words for a moment before his lips parted to offer a rather soft and yet, altogether solemn promise to the man. "I will….with my life." Love indeed had a way of affecting even him - the once nomadic sexual deviant had finally settled, happily so. That insistence that Matteo still wished a pleasant relationship with him in spite of everything still caught him off guard and yet, that talk of sports caused the vampire to shift ever so slightly in his chair. Sports - naturally. It was what many a man so bonded over in that modern world. "Some, though I prefer the horse --" He paused mid sentence as his lover stepped through that doorway with a plate in his hands.

A curious glimpse crossed his features as he watched that peculiar biscuit that was placed in front of the Frenchman before another was placed in front of him. His head tilted to the side as he leaned forward, one slender finger reaching out to gingerly poke at the fried treat. He picked up the flower, eying it more of baffled curiosity by that baked good he was provided. A singular glance upwards towards Dorian told him all he needed to know of how utterly important that creation was to him. He had never seen a look so entirely hopeful, cautious though it was. "You did well baking it, ma biche." He commented as he rotated the fried, buttery flower in his fingers. That inquiry as to what it was, however, caused his gaze to shift to the Frenchman before his attention turned back towards the fae King. His eyebrows rose ever so slightly as his boyfriend attempted to explain what it was he held in his hand. "This is...a flower?" He inquired, plucking one of the petals off of the object, some of that fried coating flaking off on his saucer. He placed that pedal in his mouth, chewing it thoughtfully before that inquiry left his lover's hips with clear concern. He swallowed that piece of flower, plucking off another before he turned his attention towards the fae that so clearly hung onto his every word in that moment. "How does a flower taste like this? Where did you even get dandelions from?! Have you really never had salted chocolate?" The whole affair was entirely mystifying to him - from the object in his mouth to the simple fact he'd yet to provide his lover with the deliciousness of salted chocolate.
