Sebastian Ellington

The Englishman was entirely assured there was something distinctly thrilling at the confirmation of having a parent alive after all those many centuries that his lover had been without. Here was a special connect there - between father and son. The fae Monarch had for so long existed under the guise that he was unfavored, unliked, and, perhaps even unloved by that fatherly figure within his life. Now, to know the contrary, he could only imagine how utterly bittersweet those emotions were that so inflicted his lover in the wake of that meeting with Matteo. Even so, Sebastian hardly pried, simply allowing those thoughts to drift from Dorian's lips, even as the fae agreed with clear glee. His head bobbed ever so slightly in understanding at the Monarch's unpreparedness to truly give Matteo that title of 'Father', even if the man surely deserved it. After all, he could only imagine it was difficult to undo centuries of viewing the man as little more than his mother's friend. Still, his head tilted to the side ever so slightly as Dorian continued on with the notion of seeing those history books properly acknowledge the Frenchman as his true sire. "I think he would like that very much though, it'd be worth all of the hysteria from the Media for your father. Perhaps we should make the effort to involve him and Alexander in our lives more, especially now that they're both so easy to reach, hm?"

Family had always been undeniably important to the Victorian man. He had utterly loved his own family dearly, that relationship he'd had with each of his siblings had been close knit in some fashion. It was almost equally as important to him that Dorian was capable of finally having that which he had been denied for so long. Still, it was that very mention of family that prompted a soft sigh from his lips. Those inquiries the fae King had prompted far more of a story then he so often gave the man and yet, it simply felt right to share that which he did of that life he'd had before all of that death took him away from them and, in turn, them away from him. It was decidedly silly, the way in which he often strove to keep that emotionalness to himself and yet, he could hardly help those whispered words that fell from his lips. How he missed them terribly. How he wished they could have met the man within his arms that he intended to devote his very life to. It was a shame that Dorian, in turn, had been robbed of that chance to meet them. Those soft words of apology were easily brushed aside as the vampire, instead, commented on how certain he had been that his brother would have liked his lover, had he still been alive.

That soft press of Dorian's lips to his jaw drew his gaze towards the fae, the man almost surprised by that near beaming grin that crossed his lover's features. There was something so undeniably breathtaking about that smile, even more so when it was directed at him. That utter certainty of all Dorian would have so willing done to appease them caused a soft chuckle on his lips. "I'm afraid my father was decidedly old-fashioned. You could have simply said you were the King of Italy and he would doted on you." It was, perhaps, a particularly unfortunate thing - the sheer weight his father had placed upon things such as status and yet, it would have made him ridiculously easy to win over if he could ever be convinced of giving his blessing when his son was engaging in the scandal that surely would have come from bedding another man in the age where sodomy was viewed as a cardinal sin. Those thoughts, however, were interrupted by that shift of the fae King within his arms, his blue eyes near immediately shifted towards Dorian as that softly spoken sentence so fell from the man's lips.

Oh how those simple words so made his heart flutter! That adoration he so held for the man in those moments were near overwhelming, prompting an entirely warm simper upon his features as he leaned forward to meet Dorian halfway. His lips pressed against the Monarch's own, so attempting to convey that simple love he had for the man. How he so desired to truly make Dorian apart of his family! It was silly, really, that such a singular phrase could so chase away all those fears he'd once had over finally committing himself to that man, only to cause that idea to linger upon the forefront of his mind with a steadfastness. "I hope to truly make it yours one day." He commented softly, alluding to those very thoughts he harbored. One day. For now, however, Sebastian was entirely willing to allow that conversation to shift to whatever silly thing Dorian so wished to show him. What he hadn't expected, however, was to find a large spread of himself that so declared one was capable of determining if they were his soul mates over simple knowledge of his preferences - ones which were largely incorrect.

It was that declaration of his favorite dish being chicken that prompted the man to inquire over calling to correct that decidedly fluff article and yet, Dorian's insistence that his phone call would surely delight the magazine editor only brought a soft huff to his lips. "You really shouldn't tempt me." He commented, his tone still holding some note of amusement even in that faux disgruntledness. His head bobbed ever so slightly at that inquiry of whether or not he was ready and yet, truly, could he ever be prepared for something as utterly ridiculous as this? His eyebrow rose at the next question and yet, he said very little, hardly intending to assist his lover in so answering enough correct answers to be deemed his soul mate. "Tough choices…." He commented, almost thoughtfully, that ready grin upon his features. It was that statement that breasts were awesome, however, that brought laughter upon his lips, that simple statement so wholly unexpected and yet, he had hardly forgotten of his lover's own sexual exploits within his own time. "They are." He readily agreed, his fingers reaching down to brush across Dorian's groin in a light teasing touch. "Though I do kind of like this too…" The vampire commented with a warm grin upon his features.

He watched, however, as the man's finger moved to reveal that answer and yet, a small shrug merely crossed his shoulders. "Of course, lest I appear vain. Heaven forbid." Sebastian commented, rolling his eyes ever so slightly before his lover so willingly pressed onto the next question. This inquiry, however, was one even he could readily answer, the vampire wholly hadn't anticipated such words might so come to haunt him and yet, as Dorian tilted his head back to glance at him, he could hardly help the sheepish look across his features. "I...might have said that." He admitted before adding, "And they might have taken it to heart, it seems…" His voice trailed off though, really, he had perhaps not noticed those women his lover was referring to quite as much as that article so seemed to hint he did. Now, those women often were little more than a source of blood for him - each and every one simply paled in the shadow of that fae Monarch. "How have you done so far hm? Are we soul mates or has our thread been a hoax this whole time?"
