Sebastian Ellington

I thought you knew I was filthy rich
I thought you knew I never answer my phone
I thought you knew I was a late night with a bad bite I thought you knew.

In truth, Sebastian had hardly realized quite the importance of that knowledge he offered on the relationships of the vampires he'd seen over the past two centuries. His thoughts were near selfishly focused upon his own love affair that he hadn't made that connection that Arlo was inquiring for his own attempts at finding happiness - at least, not at first. In fact, his thoughts had a way of lingering instead upon all Dorian did for him and all the fae Monarch gave up just for his benefit, just to fit the undead Englishman into his life. That query of whether or not his lover might die however, drew the man from his thoughts. His head shook ever, a small warm simper brushed across his features. He was certain that it was this that surely prompted the vampire to try as much as he presently was. Then again, his relationship with the man was vastly different in every facet to that marriage he'd had before. "No, he is a fae. Thankfully, he is as immortal as I am...though not as...hearty as our species is." Whereas there was very little that could truly kill a vampire, Sebastian was not as certain that the fae faired as well. Age might not take Dorian from him but that hardly meant the man was invulnerable. Even so, he stopped those thoughts from moving any further, despising the dark turn they tended to take him.

That near goofy grin that touched Arlo's features drew those bright blue eyes, the man eying his companion with one slowly raised eyebrow as the fellow declared that, clearly, Sebastian must have some level of faith in that relationship working out to write a song for Dorian. If only he knew exactly what Sebastian intended to do with that very song the pair so delicately crafted. And if only he knew the other times in which the vampire had actually sat down to compose. Great life events were perhaps the only reason the vampire truly sat down before those ivories to put those emotions into notes when they were far too great to be vocalized in any other way. That lopsided grin was met with a warm one of his own. "Thank you, Arlo, I appreciate that." He uttered simply, every bit sincere in that response. After all, he wished as feverishly that things worked out in such a blissful fashion. Though he could scarcely imagine a life now within the King, it was equally as inconceivable to have found something as intense and wonderful for this for a whole eternity.

Though there was little doubt within him of those emotions he felt for the Italian Monarch, he was equally of certain to the extent at which he didn't deserve the man he called his boyfriend. He was near painfully aware of how similar he was to the man across from him, even if Arlo was near living in squalor. Near two hundred years ago, his life hadn't been all that different, as disbelieving as it might have seemed. Even so, he hardly pressed that matter. Quite on the contrary, he allowed Arlo to simply brush off that comment with a grin and a shrug of his shoulders. His crystalline gaze shifted towards that offered notebook, the vampire reaching out to take it only to pause and eye his own name within the margins, completed with perfect tiny hearts surrounding it and dotting the i. He could hardly help that chuckle that left his lips, nor the fashion in which that grin spread across his features. It had been sometime since anyone had thought of him with such a near innocent infatuation, even if this one was entirely contrived by his own doing. He was hardly ignorant of that scowl upon Arlo's lips and yet, for once, he hardly teased the man when he could so easily do so! It was best, Sebastian decided, to not press the fellow too much, particularly when Arlo was already assisting him far more than he could surely ever understand.

Any further thoughts, however, were interrupted by the man's mention of his own hunger, prompting a roll of the vampire's gaze as the man so teasingly responded. Even though the pair of men made some effort to be cordial with each other, Sebastian knew well exactly where they stood. He was little more than food to that near predator of predators and yet, it hardly bothered him in the slightest that their relationship was based on such basal needs. That amused grumble from Arlo's lips produced a small simper from his lips as Sebastian placed that open faced notebook upon the stand before him. "Very well." He commented simply enough, his fingers lightly resting upon those ivory keys he so cherished. Mentally, the vampire counted himself in, those long, slender fingers moved with striking ease with those cords, touching those sharps and flats with quick, practiced movements as that near fluttering sound once again started all over. That piece began to slow, transitioning into something quieter, softer, and growing in intensity.

Sebastian was hardly attentive to his companion on the couch, the vampire missing entirely the way Arlo rose. In fact, it wasn't until the fellow was right near beside him that he glanced up with a hint of surprise, even if his fingers and his affinity hardly faltered in the slightest. That near flirtatious greeting and that soft brush across his shoulder momentarily grasped his attention before his gaze fluttered back towards those notes. He'd hardly played that piece enough to have those notes memorized yet. That idle comment that he was amazing in any fashion brought a small snort to his nose, even as he commented simply that he hadn't been told such a thing recently. He hardly lingered upon it long, however, Sebastian instead attempted to find something to keep Arlo preoccupied with. He watched as Arlo pinched the end of that paper, clearly reading along with those notes the vampire played only for his attention to be momentarily distracted by that idle comment of how the man worked out and, in turn, the shape of those muscles under that taunt skin. Truthfully, he hardly had the heart to inform Arlo that those muscles failed to compare to the fae King whom did indeed work out, in some fashion or another - mostly thanks entirely to those many evenings the Monarch spent within those bed sheets with a near insatiable vampire. "Do you now?" He commented softly, as that page flipped over, the Englishman quickly reading ahead to ensure those notes were hardly missed in that shift from page to page.

The vampire was innately aware of his ability at work, he'd become more accustomed to the feel of it over those months in which Dorian so willingly sat beside him at that piano bench. The King was entirely gracious, really, to allow the vampire to so afflict his emotions so frequently if only in an effort to learn some level of control. He'd developed some theory, of sorts, about that affinity and yet, tonight, he was so willingly allowing himself to feel the entirety of those emotions and, in turn for Arlo to feel them as well. That touch of Arlo's foot sliding against the jeaned material of his leg drew his thoughts from his lover, those blue eyes fluttered towards the man at his side even if Arlo attempted to turn his attention elsewhere. That song slowly shifted again, giving way to that near fathomless love he held for Dorian and, in turn, that adoration that had begun to afflict Arlo as well. That brush of Arlo's fingers against his forehead as he moved that stray lock was altogether ignored in the same fashion that the Englishman soon began to feel the weight of his companion's stare upon him. He could feel Arlo's fingers brush against his arm in a way that made him wish the vampire was Dorian and yet, at that simple thought those notes seemed to move further still into something else entirely.

That soft sound of his name hardly caused his gaze to waver, even as he questioned in response. "Hm?" He inquired, hardly expecting the way that Arlo's fingers hooked under his chin, turning his features to face the man. Thankfully, he was rather close to the end, those few notes lingering in his head as those crystalline blue eyes met the equally bright one as the vampire before him. "What is it?" He inquired, his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly as his foot stepped upon that pedal to hold out those last few notes. That admittance that he had never said those three words before brought Sebastian an inkling of what was to come, the man almost unsurprised when those words were so uttered to him. A grin crossed his features as he eyed his companion in that moment. It would have been all too easy to say those words back, even if he didn't mean them and yet...that would hardly have been friendly at all would it? He was trying, at least, to make that distinction between those one night stands he'd once so often had and that 'friendship'. "I'll remember that." He commented as those notes died out and his fingers were removed from those keys. Oh yes, he would remember that, even though he was certain Arlo would rather it if he forgot those three words entirely. Soon enough, he wouldn't care in the slightest how Sebastian thought of him and yet, for now, the vampire was making an effort to ensure He didn't overly hurt the man's feelings. His gaze turned back towards that piano, eying that piece before him. "I guess it's finished...what do you think?" He inquired, those blue eyes watching his friend with a hint of inquisitiveness.
