    Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

Sebastian Ellington

I thought you knew I was filthy rich
I thought you knew I never answer my phone
I thought you knew I was a late night with a bad bite I thought you knew.

There was a relief of sorts at finally being able to escape that man flopped out on the grass with that puppy in tow. The poor thing seemed far too delighted to leave his previous owner behind, enough so that Sebastian was rather certain the man had hardly bonded with the thing at all. In fact, it was more likely that little canine had been neglected entirely if he was this excited to any hint of affection. A small simper settled on his features as he eyed the dog, all the while commenting on how utterly disappointed he was at that man's decision of whom he thought they were. That sort of amusement from his companion only further satisfied him in how utterly wrong the dog walker had been in that comparison. His head shook ever so slightly in agreement of that well known band of sorts, "No, they definitely did not." He confirmed, having seen the pair when they were far younger. That whole era of music had not truly appealed to Sebastian all that much, enough so that he so readily agreed to his own distaste of what had become a sort of American classic. Then again, the vampire certainly preferred that far more 'stuffy' genre of those classical composers in how own day and age.

The vampire paused only as Arlo made an effort to offer him that dog, the little thing far too keen to wiggle around in his grasp in an effort to get to his face and quite literally shower the man in kisses. He could hardly help that laughter that bubbled on his lips as he reached up to pet the dog, quickly correcting his companion that Fido was certainly not it's name. That inquiry on what it was saw the man glanced down at that spiked collar around the dog's neck, his fingers lightly toying with that dog tag as he read the name. "Well, it sure as hell isn't going to be 'Rex'." He commented in discontent, reaching around to undo that collar from his newfound puppy's neck. He'd get the thing something more...fitting tomorrow night. "Hm...let's look at you." He spoke softly to the dog, his fingers reaching to push the dog's head up, scratching under his chin in the process. "Jackson? Um...Hudson...No...Maxwell. Yes, his name is Maxwell." The Englishman decided, entirely pleased with that newfound name. It sounded vastly more sophisticated than Rex. The name alone was enough to make him shudder. Thank goodness they'd found that dog walker.

That mention of that song briefly drew his attention back towards Arlo, that notebook with that song shoved under his arm. It was, after all, by far the most important acquisition he'd made all evening. He had little intention of leaving it behind, not when he had such plans for that piece of music. Still, his thoughts hardly dwelled long on that song, what with that wiggling bundle of joy in his arms. That inquiry of why he'd suddenly decided he'd needed the puppy coaxed little more than a shrug from the vampire, even as he admitted it was cute. Even Arlo couldn't disagree with that. He glanced down at the dog in his arms as Arlo commented on it's breed. His own family had never had anything beyond those English hunting hounds. Though he'd seen those vicious attack dogs, he'd certainly never owned one and Maxwell hardly seemed dangerous in the slightest. "As long as he doesn't get bigger then the horses, I think he'll be fine." He commented with an easy grin. He was fairly certain that no matter the puppy's eventual size, they would surely have the space for him to run, after all, his estate in the city was hardly small by any means, not as big as those houses Dorian and himself owned overseas but certainly bigger than that dingy apartment Arlo called home.

In fact, it seemed that very idea of home coaxed an entirely different question from his companion - that one of where his was. This time, however, Sebastian was far more capable of providing a solid answer then that mere vague one he'd offered nearly an hour earlier. That open ended comment to allow his escape was altogether waved off. After all, Arlo had been his friend before he'd known how much money he had or his connection with the crown. He saw little reason now why he might have to further hide that wealth. Besides, he'd need someone to hold this wiggly critter when he did find something to eat. Managing a dog and a victim and feeding just sounded like more trouble than he was sure it was worth. That mention of Italy saw Sebastian glance over at his companion before slowly nodding, "Yeah, the paparazzi were crowding the game the entire month we were there trying to get pictures of us. Dorian swears it'll settle down though, now that the news of him on the throne is less...new." He shrugged ever so slightly, unsure if he truly believed his boyfriend and yet, it hardly bothered him all that much. The mention of the palace prompted a grin upon the man's features as he nodded, "We did, it's GIANT Arlo, like jesus, the ceilings are like as high as the bloody sky. I have no idea how many rooms are in there. A thousand at least. We mostly stayed in Dorian's suite though and the gardens stretch on for like ever." His head shook ever so slightly, Caserta certainly rivaled many of his own properties. In fact, he was rather certain he could stick several of his estates together and still not equate it to the sheer size of that palace.

That Eastern side of town was almost a relief to see, those shops still open with people still mulling about, regardless of the hour. That sudden request for the puppy saw his gaze dart towards Arlo before fluttering towards that corner before nodding in agreement. He gingerly held out that dog, letting the man lift it from his grasp before Sebastian turned on his heels with the intention of stalking down someone he only got a few feet away before those near pathetic cries of his newfound puppy saw him pause to glance back at the pair, the man momentarily torn by that simple sound before Arlo seemingly entertained the dog with God only knows what. It was hardly difficult to find someone to eat, particularly with his ability to rely upon that age old affinity. Soon enough, Sebastian had rounded not one but two women into the darkness of a nearby alleyway, his fangs happily biting into the first whilst the second ran her hands over the length of his body. By the time he was done with them both, the pair were near breathless in their euphoria of that venom alone and the vampire was certainly more well fell then he had been in quite some time.

It was hardly difficult to find the vampire and his puppy again - the pair settled on the corner right where Arlo promised they would be. His own notebook had been unceremoniously rolled and shoved into his back pocket as that dog was offered back to him with a brown bag. "What...is it?" He inquired with a glimpse of confusion, glancing down at its contents only to have Maxwell himself attempt to near fall into the bag. Someone was hungry...or excited...or perhaps even both. "Oh...thank you, Arlo." He commented with a warm simper as he pulled that puppy to safety back into his arms. The rest of the walk to the Heights was hardly all that long and yet the difference in that displayed wealth was near dramatic as they entered that gated neighborhood. The trees that lined those meticulously mowed cars were also uniformly shaped, the sidewalks near crisp white as they moved deeper into that large wealthy neighborhood. It took several moments before they arrived at those heavily guarded gates, that mansion the only one on the entire block with a twenty-four hour security team. That idle comment from his friend's lips coaxed a laughter from his own before he nodded, "I'll be sure to let you know if I'm ever in the market. Thank you for all your help tonight Arlo. I'll let you know how it goes. Text you later, alright, mate?" He commented before stepping off the sidewalk and towards those gates that were opened for him. God that home had never looked so wonderful with it's lights all bright and welcoming. He couldn't wait to show Dorian exactly what he'd found tonight, his gaze turning down towards that dog with a warm simper.
