Sebastian Ellington

Crowned Consort of Italy

A soft yawn crossed the Englishman's lips as he sat on the edge of his bed with a warm cup of tea nestled in his hands. He watched in silence as the fae Monarch fussed with those final articles of clothing across the room and yet, Sebastian was hardly inclined to move from that spot at the foot of the bed, fully dressed though he was. Waking during those daylight hours always had a fashion of making the vampire near exhausted, at least, until Dorian's own affinity for life brought him back from the edge of death. Sebastian tried to not take advantage of the King's ability, even with how much he utterly adored that touch of life to his dead skin. Today, however was an exception to that near golden rule. Today was special. His own otherworldly senses could easily detect the sound of people outside the walls of that estate. They crowded his grounds with their laughter and voices. Despite the peculiarity of the presence of so many others, Sebastian had strictly forbidden Dorian from even peeking out of those heavy curtains. The entirety of that trip had been so carefully surrounded in mystery and yet, Sebastian had labored for near months without the King's knowledge for today's event to come together so perfectly.

He had announced mere days ago of his need to return to England for some sort of activity, the vampire purposefully vague on why he was required to return home. Thankfully, it hardly took much coaxing at all after Dorian's short trip away to visit that Italian parliamentarian for the fae to eagerly take up that invitation to join him. They'd flown into Manchester late last night, the pair only just stepped off the airplane before Dorian began to recognize that the airport they landed in was hardly the same one they'd visited on their first trip to England. It didn't take much time longer than that for the realization to so dawn upon the Italian fae that they were certainly not returning to Belton, even if Sebastian refused to voice even a syllable of exactly where they were going. The pair had been picked up by a member of Sebastian's staff though that drive to those vast estates was relatively short. The usually brightly lit grounds had been plunged into darkness for their arrival purely with the intention of keeping the vast gardens hidden from the Monarch's sight. Though it had taken some effort after they had gotten settled, Sebastian had managed to escape from the King's presence for but a short time last night to ensure every aspect of his plan was being smoothly attended to.

For near the past twenty years, the Royal Horticultural Society had teamed up with his estate at Tatton to bring about the Flower Show. Over the course of the next three days, some eighty thousand visitors would filter through those numerous gardens and vendors to observe the craftsmanship of some of the best that Northern England and Scotland had to offer. The show took weeks to set up and months to organize and yet, the stress that came with this year's festivity had only been compounded by the simple fact that Sebastian intended to return to his mother's home for the first time since the festival's induction. Those gardens were the perfect backdrop for his own plan to showcase to his lover that song he'd crafted with Arlo - a song he'd been practicing near religiously for months on any night he knew the fae was busy with his own affairs of running his country. It had been just as concerning to ensure that piano he had built specially for the event was created in time, had arrived in one piece, and had too been tuned properly for tonight's event. Even that had somehow paled in comparison to having a rather long conversation with Matteo that resulted in inviting the man to the day's festivities too, if he so desired to attend. Then again, any sort of conversation with his boyfriend's father had a way of setting the usually lackadaisical vampire on edge.

As it was, with the evening holding the majority of his personal plans, he had seen little reason why the pair could not enjoy what the festival of sorts had to offer. After all, he knew well Dorian's enjoyment of those flowers and if there was any place to see rare specimens - it was surely here. It was this line of thought that had prompted the vampire to be awake when he surely should have been asleep, much less that request for Dorian's own power for today's excursion. He bought that tea cup to his lips, almost disappointed by the small amount that remained within that cup. A soft sigh crossed his lips as he glanced down at that now empty mug, swallowing the last of that tea and the still delectable taste of Dorian's own blood that laced that otherwise distinctly British beverage. It was with a measure of regret that he sluggishly rose to place that tea cup upon the dresser before crossing the room towards the fae King. "The socks should be in the zipper part." He voiced finally after watching Dorian hunt for that singular missing clothing article for the past few minutes.

His blue eyes watched as the King shifted to the front part of that suitcase they'd simply left in the corner of the room in hunt for those elusive socks, another yawn on his lips as he leaned against the armoire. That sleepiness had a way of eclipsing every other emotion within the vampire - that anxiety and apprehension for the day masked by that draw of death. He hardly had to stay awake much longer, he assured himself. As soon as the pair were fully dressed, as soon as the King was ready, Sebastian might again be afforded that glimpse of life and the day's activities could surely begin. For now, however, he was entirely content to simply watch that Monarch he so desperately loved with something so dreadfully mediocre as putting on socks.
