Ah, but how wretched a creature Sebastian was sometimes! Dorian so terribly aware of him in that singular moment as he shifted but slightly closer, the Monarch already beneath that early sway of that arousal at merely the suggestion of those things they might do and those ideas he himself held for enjoying that evening so dedicated to nothing less than five experiences and that chance to take his lover over and over. That soft assurance that he hardly knew what Sebastian might be capable of so stirred that warm simper to his lips all the same, Dorian wholly assured he had but every intention of finding out before that soft query as to whether or not he could wait that long for the touch of those fangs. How well his lover knew him! Dorian wholly prone to reacting to the simple touch of those fangs against his flesh even without that bite, Sebastian often prone to teasing him with just that touch. That soft groan of want rising within him now as his gaze shifted to meet the striking blue of Sebastian’s own once more.

“Ah, Mon Cher, you know me far too well. I probably cannot, but we shall see. I may surprise you yet.”

There was very near a promise within those words, Dorian wholly assured his own ideas might yet afford him but some advantage still, his mind content to turn with those very thoughts and that wholly pleasing idea of just how enjoyable such an evening might yet be. That simple anticipation so threatened to stir a near visible reaction from him here and now. How unfortunate it was they were so within the middle of a crowd! The Fae near assured that soft grass so surrounded by those glorious gardens would be near a perfect place to enjoy his consorts figure entirely. Such a pity that so many people happened to be present. Dorian wholly content to continue to imagine just what he might like to do all the same as he led the way into those markets stalls. The distraction of those foods and fruits and vegetables a truly fortunate thing, his thoughts finding themselves distracted once more with the simple awe for those neatly organised stalls and the bustle of that crowd. He had so hardly anticipated that apple he offered his lover might somehow inspire that hunger within the man and yet, truly, he was near surprised he had not considered it. A living body required food far more frequently than even his own, Sebastian surely near starving. How long had it been since the vampire had eaten a meal of any true sustenance? That restaurant they enjoyed within the city perhaps? Dorian’s attention so turned towards those stalls at that near bashful admittance from Sebastian that he himself had forgotten the needs of a living body in turn. The Monarch entirely determined to see his lovers needs were met. The very idea that Sebastian might be uncomfortable, in any sense, entirely unacceptable to him.

He stepped easily away from his Consort then, assuring him he would return in but a moment as he stepped into that crowd. Dorian so attempting to navigate those stores for but the first time in his existence. The man returning some minutes later with that small platter of sorts. After all, Sebastian’s tastes were sure to be decidedly more potent within that living figure, the Fae determined to provide him with a variety of foods if only so he might find something appealing. Sebastian so reaching for that chocolate dipped strawberry designed to be eaten last. Of course he would! Dorian hardly finding himself surprised in any sense even as he made some effort to berate his lover for his choices. That near begging look he was fixed with so readily seeing his resolve crumble in near an instant. How foolish it was that he, the very King of Italy, whom sat near stony faced before parliament and so often refused to budge beneath even insurmountable pressure when he was assured off his own policies might crumble at merely a single look from his lover. Dorian utterly incapable of denying Sebastian but anything he might desire. That almost teasing sigh falling from him then in that clear admittance of defeat, his gaze lingering on his lover then as he bit into that treat. That sound of satisfaction seeing the return of that smile to his own lips before what remained of that strawberry was offered to himself in turn. That sweet, fresh taste was wholly delightful, Dorian so assuring his companion that this strawberry was, indeed, exceptional and yet perhaps he should hardly have been surprised when so surrounded by that fresh produce. A farmer, surely, did not bring anything but his best to that Royal Show.

Dorian remained but near oblivious to the simple pleasure Sebastian so took from being the object of his very first purchase, the Fae content to lead the way into that vineyard now that his lovers hunger had been attended to. His fingers reached easily for those leaves, the Monarch so finding himself simply incapable of not responding to the simple life that near burst from those branches. There was something near glorious about being so surrounded by it. That bright grin upon his features utterly unwavering as he wandered. Dorian commenting upon that vineyard then and the very notion he had hardly known Sebastian had owned one. That simple assurance that the vampire owned many things was met with that simple chuckle all the same. Dorian, in turn, assured that he himself undoubtedly owned many things he hardly knew off let alone ever considered to mention unless asked. That idea of vineyards however, so prompting that tale off his own within Turin. At least, what had once been a vineyard. It had been…centuries since he had been there. Did it even still exist? Not that it had been terribly good to begin with. At least, not in comparison to the modern wines of today. Dorian quite sure he could not return to those lesser wines off his own era now that he had tasted the moderns days. His comment upon just that so seeming to spark the vampire’s interest. Dorian’s own features near quizzical as he glanced back toward his lover then at that mention of the strains Italy so possessed.

“Do we? Perhaps I should consider it then. I have not been to Turin in…centuries though I fear. I would not even know as to the state of the soil. Perhaps we might go when we return to Italy? I suppose we should check on the state of my other palaces at some point- else they may think we love Caserta more then them.”

That teasing note so readily echoed within his voice, that soft chuckle humming from within his throat as they reached that table at the end of the vineyard and so set up in front of those wine cellars. There was far less people down within that vineyard, several people merely glancing toward them before whispering to themselves rather then so attempting to take those photographs or query them directly, several others hardly seeming to notice them as the browsed those wines. The young woman whom stood behind that table however, so readily seemed to fixate on Sebastian alone, her features so clearly displaying that shock at seeing her employer outside and within that sun. Sebastian so promptly affording Martha that gentle, if not cryptic explanation as Dorian himself so hurried to distract her. Sebastian alone was privy to the extent of his abilities with life itself. The notion of that affinity a decidedly….secret one, if only for the implications that might so come with that ability being known to the world at large. Dorian simply unwilling to attract the attention of any vampire other than his boyfriend. Martha, thankfully, seemed readily distracted by her own task of pouring that wine and launching into that well practised speech on just what flavours it seemed to inspire. Dorian so readily lifted that glass to his lips to taste it, that simper readily finding him in response. The taste decidedly pleasing. Dorian commenting upon just that only to find himself paused near mid-sentence at the sight of his Father strolling around that cellar. He had hardly anticipated to see Matteo here, of all places. A Flower Festival so hardly seeming the sort of thing that might appeal to the centuries old Frenchman. Dorian gesturing towards that man only for him to step out and into that sunlight- revealing a being distinctly not his own Father. He had been so sure! Dorian blinking momentarily before eyeing that wine almost suspiciously. Perhaps he had already had too much, his gaze glancing briefly towards Sebastian once more in that ready amusement, his lover seeming almost concerned at the idea Matteo might well have been present before declaring it was perhaps a lack of wine that so contributed to his apparently poor vision and unusual lack of observation.

“I am not quite sure that is how it works, but I shall gladly have a little more and this Monbazillac sounds very pleasing, thank you Martha.”

He returned that emptied glass to the woman now as she busied herself with preparing that next one, Dorian’s gaze returned to his lover then before that soft frown so found his features, that ready consideration seeming to touch him as that new glass was handed to him then.

“Bastian? Are you quite alright? You don’t feel ill do you?”

If a living vampire could be hungry then could he become ill too? Like a living being? Would it happen nearly this quickly? He certainly looked alright, in fact, Dorian was assured Sebastian looked decidedly breath-taking with that flush of life so touching his features and yet that worry still tugged at him all the same.

“It is just that I do not believe I have ever seen you decline to taste a wine before. Do you not like this one?”

The Monarch so lifted that new glass to his lips all the same, if only to try for himself, that taste decidedly appealing to him, his tongue brushing across his lips in a decidedly un-royal gesture and yet one that so assured he fully enjoyed that taste as that simper touched his lips again in response. Surely Sebastian did not dislike this taste? Dorian’s gaze resting then upon that nearly finished lunch box within the vampire’s hands. Perhaps he was simply just…full? Else that current state of living made wine somehow unappealing? Dorian so considering but a wealth of reasons then even despite that small knot of worry that tugged at him. He could hardly help it. Not when it came to Sebastian. Dorian assured he knew his lover decidedly well after all this time, such a choice distinctly out of character for the man. Dorian wholly oblivious to the truth of the reason behind Sebastian’s determination to prevent the taste of that wine afflicting him in any sense. He lifted that glass to his lips once more, finishing the last of that new wine as Martha inquired as to whether he would like to try but one more.

“Yes, why not? Just one more though or I fear I might start talking nonsense. Perhaps we might go over and see those water features then before it gets too late in the afternoon? I imagine the show closes before it gets dark. Is there anything else you wanted to see, Bastian?”

His gaze so shifted from Martha as she busied herself once more and back to Sebastian again, that hint of worry still touching his voice all the same, his own affinity silently embraced as if just to assure himself that light that surrounded his companion was still as bright as it had always been. That light positively glowing from him. Dorian wholly content in the knowledge that his lover was indeed still very much alive in the least. Worry, it seemed, for the man he loved, came so very easily.
