Sebastian Ellington

Crowned Consort of Italy

The Englishman adored those sounds he was capable of coaxing from the King, even more so at the sheer suggestion of the pleasure he was capable of bringing the Monarch behind those closed doors. His bright blue eyes met the silver hue of his lover's own as he inquired if Dorian was truly capable of withstanding the vampire withholding that bite and it's associated venom for the entirety of that night and yet, he could hardly help that simper that crossed his features at Dorian's admittance that he likely could not. Still, to hear the King beg for that bite? It would sure as hell be worth the full extent of that control he was capable of having. "We shall see." He commented softly in return, that bemused look still present upon his features, even if it was altogether clear exactly where his thoughts dwelled. It was a shame, the crowds that surrounded them, particularly when he would have so easily taken his boyfriend here and now if the King let him. It was, perhaps, beneficial that Dorian led them towards that market. Those tents and stands of fresh fruits and vegetables had a habit of ensnaring them both, enough so that the tossing of that apple in his direction prompted a sort of hunger within him that he had all but forgotten of. How long had it been since he'd needed sustenance?!

Dorian, it seemed, was entirely unwilling to allow him to go without, the King hardly giving him a chance to protest before he left Sebastian to his own devices. His gaze followed the Monarch throughout that market, at least, until the man returned to his side with a small box in tow. His own gaze swept over the contents of that box and yet, it was hardly surprising the way those brilliant blue eyes settled upon that chocolate dipped fruit. It hardly mattered to him, in those moments, that such a thing was supposed to be his dessert, the vampire quickly bringing that piece of fruit to his lips, only to find himself near scolded by his own boyfriend. His lip stuck out ever so slightly, pouting in a near begging fashion, even if that reprimanding would hardly stop him from enjoying that strawberry first. His lover wavered near instantly, prompting a warm grin upon his features as he bit into that fresh fruit, prompting a near groan of satisfaction. My God, that taste! He shared that bit of the fruit with his lover, entirely pleased to so ruin Dorian's resolve at saving that dessert at last. He plucked a piece of cheese from that box, listening as Dorian spoke of that box being his first purchase. It was a small thing and yet, it was somehow more meaningful that the King's first purchase might be for him.

He offered Dorian the choice of any object from that box, the vampire entirely content to continue down those rows and rows of vines and plush grapes as Sebastian himself plucked an olive from the depth of that little box. He was hardly oblivious to the fashion at which Dorian's fingers brushed against those green leaves and yet, he saw no reason why the man couldn't enjoy that very hum of life that surrounded them. After all, this was Dorian's own element, of sorts. His own interest, however, was entirely aroused at that sheer mention of Turin and the vineyard that had once existed there, one that the King half hoped had gone near derelict. It was awful, truly, to wish the death of something as lovely and fruitful as a vineyard and yet, Sebastian found himself agreeing if only for that simple consideration that they might start anew. The sheer number of varieties that were unique only to Italy's particular climate were certainly numerous. Although it would take a decent amount of time to yield that first crop of wine, Sebastian was sure it was worth it. His lover could have strains that he was incapable of growing even despite his best attempts!

His head bobbed ever so slightly in confirmation as Dorian inquired of those grapes, that idea now readily turning in the King's head as well and yet, he was hardly averse to visiting that palace on their return trip to Italy. "We may revisit them all whenever you like, my love. Between the pair of us, we will be taking many extended vacations, I fear." He could hardly help that warm simper upon his features, the man hardly against spending any amount of time anywhere in the world with the man he so adored. After all, if anyone was capable of giving such emotions to any inanimate object, it certainly was Sebastian. The idea that the other palaces might feel unloved readily coaxing at the vampire heartstrings. He eyed his lover in the aftermath of that near teasing tone, the vampire aware of Dorian's knowledge of his intense care for certain physical objects in the world. "Poor palaces." He commented softly to himself all the same and yet, the talk of those buildings was quickly overran as they reached the end of those vineyards and to a rather familiar face stationed at a table with several bottles of that wine that were labeled with that signature lion of his home.

Martha seemed wholly surprised at the discovery of the vampire beneath that sun and yet, he was quick to push off those questions with the same obscurity most of his world of late had been surrounded with. It was, as far as he was concerned, a matter of Dorian's safety to keep that affinity he had a secret. There were many who surely would kill for even a chance of that life and the Englishman all but refused to have his lover the target of such an obsessive quest. Dorian, thankfully, seemed quick to otherwise distract her with that simple request to taste that wine - the inquiry enough to prompt her to do her job to the best of her ability. That wine was poured into a glass for the King, one offered to himself and yet he was quick to turn it down, his own fingers plucking at that shaved ham as he listened to that well rehearsed speech of the contents of that wine and the particulars of how it was made to further that rich flavor. That idle comment of Dorian's own like of it, however, came to a hault near mid-sentence declared he'd thought he'd seen Matteo of all beings! His own attention quite sharply turned upwards, his gaze searching that crowd with a hint of concern. Although he had invited the Frenchman to visit that festivity he certainly hadn't thought the man would take it up with enough gusto to be here on the first day! Maybe the second or the third but - so soon? Thankfully, that man Dorian seemed to have fixated upon was certainly not his father, that simple fact drawing a soft sound of relief from the man as his lover declared he had perhaps had too much wine already!

That concern was one Sebastian willingly waved off, declaring quite readily that Dorian simply needed more wine in order to ensure the man turned completely into his father. He requested for that red the King had preferred to be sent up to the house before suggesting another Dorian might try - this one a white wine of a far sweeter taste than the one before it. That insistence that he was certain that wine hardly worked in such a fashion, however, brought a grin to that features as he slipped that final piece of ham between his lips, his own blue eyes shifted from his lover towards the woman as she busied herself with pouring that glass he'd requested. That second one was once again offered to the Englishman and, in turn, was once again turned down though the gesture hardly went unnoticed by his lover. That sound of his name drew his gaze upwards though he hardly expected that question that left the King's lips. His eyebrows knotted together in a hint of confusion before he slowly shook his head. "No, I'm fine...should I be feeling ill?" He doubted Dorian would make any effort to prompt such a thing within him and yet the vampire was wholly baffled as to why his lover would ask such an obscure question in the first place!

That explanation coaxed the sound of laughter on his lips, his head shaking ever so slightly. "No, no, that one is delicious, Ma Biche." He quickly reassured his companion, watching as Dorian brought that glass to his lips, that brush of his tongue surely showcasing that it was entirely as delectable as he remembered it. "I merely fear that...in my current stateā€¦.one glass would be enough to have you dragging me back to the house." He was entirely willing to blame his live body's lack of ability to withstand that liquid rather than provide his lover of the truth. He needed his body free of that touch of liquor for tonight's presentation. After all, he needed to play those notes near perfectly in order to evoke those emotions he so wished to display to the King, in order to show Dorian the way he felt for him in the only way he truly knew how. He needed to keep his wits about him to remain silent enough on his plans for their night and the last thing he wanted was for wine to ruin all that he had been planning for near months.

Martha's sudden inquiry if Dorian would like to try one more prompted his own gaze to return to that box in his hands, the vampire easily picking up that last chocolate strawberry he'd reserved for his dessert. He had only just bitten into it when the King began to speak of the rest of their afternoon spent by the numerous water features, only to pause and inquire if there was anything left he wished to see as well. He nodded, swallowing that fruit before gesturing towards that large clear dome at the center of the festival. "Perhaps we can walk by the Butterfly garden on our way? It is the first time we've had it and I want to see what it looks like and make sure everyone is enjoying it...we don't have to go in though, I know how you feel of butterflies, Ma Bichette." Even from this distance, that dome clearly seemed one of the more populated places within the festival and though he was hardly in a rush, needing to wait for darkness to fall before his own plans could turn into play, he hardly had any desire to linger for a prolonged amount of time within those crowds that had clearly shown they'd recognized the pair.
