Sebastian Ellington

Crowned Consort of Italy

Earldom was the best Sebastian had been taught he could hope for in life. To regain that position he'd once lost within the English courts had been his goal for the past near two-hundred years. The crown and himself certainly had a mixed history of sorts, from housing Elizabeth's uncle during that love affair that had been largely looked down on by the people at large, to the owning of property that had once been gifted to the first Elizabeth - property which he had refused to sell back to the crown. It had truly been a long time since he had been summoned to that palace in London and yet, certainly the Queen was capable of it if she so desired. He had hardly considered the conflict that his standing within the Italian court might cause in this. After all, the Englishman had never properly been taught the social etiquette when one belonged to more than one country's court. Though that scoff quickly left his lips, his own further consideration of that very topic saw his certainty falter. That gentle shake of his lover's head prompted his lips to twist into a small frown as he considered that assertion that this request for tea was the closest to summoning that Her Majesty could do without inciting some sort of discontent between Italy and England.

A soft, though surely audible breath left his lips as the vampire quite near considered this new fact. He supposed this was something he would have to become used to, particularly considering he had little intention of leaving his lover's life. Still, it felt innately wrong to deny his Queen, anymore than it did to press his King to accept that invitation. His hand reached up to run though those dirty blonde locks, "I don't like ignoring that request." He uttered after a long moment, that admittance falling almost uncertainly from his lips. Although he could accept that, perhaps his social standing had increased to near rival that of royalty, there was a certain part of Sebastian that was still distinctly British at heart. That love for his Queen was almost an innate part of him, even if it hardly rivaled that love he held for the Monarch nestled within his lip. Still, he could hardly deny that week away from the politics and the press at large was equally as tempting. It was that very mention of the paparazzi that quickly took up the entirety of his thought, that groan leaving his lips as he considered just how he might wrestle that beast into submission, even with Dorian's offer to utilize that skill of invisibility.

His thoughts, however, were wholly distracted by that soft inquiry of whether or not he was cold. That chilled summer breeze certainly felt cool upon his skin and yet, he was hardly bothered by it simply due to the fact that it would hardly last long. No, it was about time for all of those plans to unfold to a hopefully beneficial ending. That mention of picking their way through that darkness towards the house prompted his gaze to turn towards his watch, the man declaring but moments later that the lights would begin just...about….now. Those lights near flared to life around them at that command, that grin upon the King's features hardly missed as he quickly stood to explore the presence of that flare of luminosity. Sebastian watched from that seated position, easily answering those how's upon Dorian's lips. It was in those moments shortly after that the man requested to return to that state of death. That surprise upon his lover's features was near expected, particularly considering it was one that certainly never fell from his lips. Sebastian so often relished in any bit of life he had that to request to be returned to death was quite abnormal.

Even so, the vampire was entirely inclined to reassure his lover of his insistence on this, that alone apparently enough to coax the King to at least attempt. The man rose without complaint at that silent gesture, his bright blue eyes settled upon the Monarch as Dorian closed the space between them - only to press his lips against Sebastian's own. Though that simple touch of affection was wholly welcomed, it hardly fully distracted from that life that was drawn from his body, life that his mortal self was so inclined to cling to, prompting a sort of fight or flight reaction within his system. It hardly lasted long, however, before that simple state of being undead quite near slowed those chemical reactions - his whole body simply felt…dead. He was quick to reassure the King that he was entirely fine, even as he worked to return that blood flow to the limbs that would certainly need it in the next few moments. That inquiry of that final garden he'd mentioned, however, brought a warm chuckle to his lips as his fingers interlaced with Dorian's own, the man entirely content to show the Monarch exactly what he had been so diligently working on.

Sebastian was all too willing to slip past that velveteen rope that blocked off that pathway from the general public, that garden beyond, after all, had been made only for tonight. Each of those plants and flowers had been picked with exceeding care not only for their beauty but also for their near vibrant color beneath the moonlight. He allowed the King those few moments to eye those flowers that caught his interest, that near sound of delight readily drew a grin upon his own features. He nodded at that idle comment that this was Dorian's favorite garden of all. "I think it is mine too." It was a garden surely fit for it's own place within those treasured memories. He continued to lead the way further down those lit pathways, those lights certainly dimming as the pair came to that opening that held within it's depths the very object that had been the source of his greatest stress. That crystalline piano was breathtaking in it's own right, so simple and delicate with that line of candles upon its rim - the sight of that alone quite near prompting that flutter of the King's heart...and yet, he was hardly done with those efforts to make this place near magical. Not yet.

His affinity quite near flared to life, those stars quite near dancing upon the surface of that piano. They twinkled in and out of existence, rearranging to make constellations and shooting stars that exploded to birth only more of those little pinpricks of light, that piano quite near alive beneath his sway. His darker hued gaze turned towards his lover, watching as Dorian seemed to regard that scene before him. That soft prompting seemed enough to at least momentarily break that spell, whispered through his lover's words were in response. That squeeze of Dorian's hand within his own hardly went unnoticed and yet, now it was far too late to turn back. Sebastian was well aware of those butterflies within his own chest as he led the King closer towards that piano, that apprehension quite near embracing him now that they were finally here in this very moment.

Gingerly, he guided Dorian towards that plus white leather upon that matching crystalline seat before that piano, the vampire simply pressing lightly upon his lover's shoulders to so prompt the King to take up that seat that he so often did. He leaned down, plucking that canvas from the ground, the man content to eye it but briefly before handing it towards his lover. He knew well of that ivory pastel Dorian was so inclined to take with him near everywhere and yet, tonight a different sort of medium was necessary - because tonight, even that canvas was hardly what it seemed to be. The vampire fished within his pocket for a moment before plucking a small tube from the depths of those pants, handing it to his lover before reaching for that small cup of water that sat upon the edge of that piano. A brush was plucked from its depths, this one too offered to the Monarch in an effort to explain that tube of white watercolor paint he had only just given Dorian. "I thought, perhaps, a change of medium might be nice." He commented simply, hardly explaining exactly why such was necessary. Dorian would discover it soon enough, after all. That canvas was hardly a simple canvas - the midst of it had been specially prepared to repel that paint. That painting beneath only meant to be revealed when covered with the hues of those watercolors.

He moved around the Monarch, settling beside him and in front of that piano. His gaze swept over those keys as a soft breath left his lips, the man quite purposefully making an effort steady himself. He knew that song backwards and forwards and yet, that still did not wholly quiet those nerves that ate at him. Sebastian was rarely ever truly hesitant to play for Dorian and yet, those songs they often toyed with were ones written by other people. Though he had certainly written other songs before, he had never performed them for Dorian...or anyone, really, Arlo aside. Still, it had been effective upon the vampire, it would certainly speak volumes to his own boyfriend too. The vampire nodded silently to himself as his fingers settled upon those starting notes. He glanced beside him at his lover, inquiring softly, "Ready?" It was only once Dorian had made some indication that he indeed was that those fingers began to play, that second affinity quite near flaring to life, this one hardly held back in the fashion he so often attempted to do. After all, tonight was entirely about giving the King a glimpse into those feelings - into his feelings.
