    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

death incarnate & night triumphant

There was nothing but male satisfaction dancing in the back of his mind as Lani places a delicate hand on the rippling muscles of his chest. Though, he’s careful to hide it, he merely gives her a raise of his brows – perhaps a bit of a suggestive, teasing look thrown in her direction as they continue. As she mentions he isn’t a monster and that she saw the goodness somewhere in his heart, Andras merely offers a shrug without saying anything. She wouldn’t think that if she knew he had slaughtered his way across the world in an act of vengeance. So, the Fae offers her a close-lipped smile as they make their way in silence towards her apartment. Just before they reach the door, Lani must have realized her hand was still planted on his chest as she quickly removes it, a faint blush painting her cheeks. She even goes as far as to promise the man she would mind and wouldn’t wander about at night.

Somehow, Andras didn’t believe her.

It takes no time at all for them to enter her apartment and Andras finds himself sprawled out along the couch, his dark eyes following Lani’s every move. The sparkling sound of her laughter reaches his delicately pointed ears which only draws a faint, but genuine smile to his lips. The man realized, in that moment, he wanted to hear her laugh again; he wanted to be the one that made her laugh again. “Ah, careful Lani, darling,” he purrs, “be wary of anything you’re invited to in Sacrosanct, my brethren are not nearly as kind,” he teases though there is an underlying serious note to his words. The smell of coffee begins to fill the small apartment complex as they continue their banter. He can see the embarrassment that so adorns her features prior to her turning away to dig through the cupboards, for what, he isn’t sure. Yet, Andras listens intently to her, that cool amusement dancing in the form of a smirk upon his lips.

“It wasn’t a shallow thought,” he stated firmly, putting emphasis on his statement before continuing, “You aren’t wrong though,” he says gently with another shrug of his shoulders, “Just because I have money, doesn’t mean I enjoy the materialistic items that come with it. I would rather have something well worn and full of memories rather than something new. Though, the rest of my race would disagree with me. They value class and wealth and there is a great divide between many of the faeries. You would think they would bore of it after a few centuries.” His voice takes on a note of boredom, perhaps it was immortal arrogance but Andras knew what it was like to have nothing at all. “As far as my clothing goes, I tend to work closely with many high-ranking people and need to be ready to meet with them at a moments notice. I suppose you could call it my job,” he quirks a smile. It wasn’t entirely true, though he didn’t lie. He merely used this mask to hide the fact that he was a warrior, a man capable of tearing apart someone piece by piece.

Leaning forward, he places his elbows on his knees, a mischievous gleam dancing in those dark eyes as she comes closer, setting a plate of cookies before him. Rather than glancing down at the food he keeps his predatory eyes locked on hers, “And what, pray tell, Lani, would you rather have me clothed in?” He teases, a midnight chuckle snaking out of his throat as he tilts his head towards the woman now seated next to him. As she explains her origins he doesn’t have a chance to inquire more about it before she launches herself into several more questions. “No, I’m not the only faerie here. There are a few littered throughout the city but… not many,” he trails off briefly before he continues onto her next question, “All faeries have families,” he teases her playfully before leaning back into the couch, “Not all Fae, but most, live under the rule of a court. Though, as far as I know there are only a handful scattered throughout the world, that’s including my own,” an honest answer though there isn’t much more time to dwell on their current conversation when a faint hiss echoes across the room.

Brows raising in surprise, he watches as the cat hurtles across the room, teeth bared and spittle flying. Wicked amusement breaks out across his face as Andras slips from the couch and quicker than the eye can follow he is on the other side of the room before the cat had realized where he went. Hands casually in his pockets, he watches, infinitely humored at the situation until Lani scoops up her deranged animal and hugs it tightly to her chest. Frowning, he notes the tangy smell of blood the moment the cat’s claws sink into her skin. No, that would not do.

Removing his hands from his pockets, he prowls dangerously towards the couch, his dark eyes fixed on the animal in her arms. Stopping just a few steps away, he arches a brow at the hiss that emits from the feline’s throat. Baring his own teeth in such a predatory way, there was nothing human left of his demeanor as he sends a snarl at the cat that rattled the entire apartment, the dishes clinking together loudly. Allowing his features to return to normal, his eyes trace the scratches along Lani’s arm, the trickle of blood that flowed slowly across her pale skin. Furrowing his brows, “I have half a mind to throw your cat out the window because of what she did to you,” he mutters. “Get her out of here so I can clean you up.”
