    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

She kept watching the pupping in his arms, curious of what it was like for a human to call an animal their pet. Was it like a possession, a material object as good as any cup or shirt in their collection? Or did some think of them as family, almost as an equal? The puppy certainly seemed happy with him, like it chose him to take it in and take care of it. She wanted to believe that he would. He seemed to be pretty gentle in nature. Maybe the puppy was truly in good hands. Would she ever want a pet? She still couldn't help but think of it as a form of slavery. Maybe she was just overthinking it because she could become an animal at the drop of a hat. She certainly didn't want to be anyone's dog or pet. So could she ever own one? The very thought made her nose wrinkle. Probably not. She watched Benjamin's cheeks flare at his own comment, her brow arching in curiosity. Was that a blush? What did it mean? Embarassment? Awkwardness? She needed to ask more questions. He finally said that it was a good thing he wasn't trying to be in commercials then. She snorted. "Probably so."

When she brought up college, he told her to apply and keep her fingers crossed. She tilted her head in confusion. "What will that do? Is that a special power or something?" She was genuinely curious of this finger crossed thing. It had to be a secret she needed to know. She noted him trying to push the puppy's face away so it couldn't lick him but even then the gesture seemed half hearted, like he really didn't mind. The idea made her smirk a little. So he liked being licked in the face. Most humans said it disgusted them. So what made him different? They started walking toward Benjamin's apartment. He seemed uncomfortable talking about the place where they were, saying he didn't expect to end up there. She tilted her head again. "Where did you expect to end up? Where you going somewhere else?" She had an incessant need to understand. He said he got lost in his thoughts and she snorted again and shook her head. "Those are in your head; how could you get lost? It's not streets on a map, silly."

When he asked if she grew up here, she couldn't help the laugh that naturally fell from her lips before she shook her head again. "Not even close. I only got here a year or so ago. I came with....my family. And then I made new friends and ended up staying." She figured that about summed it up. Since he was human, she didn't know how much he knew or didn't know about the supernatural world. She also didn't know if he'd want to know even she wanted to tell him.

OOC: So I wasn't sure what you had planned for him on finding out about the supernatural world. If you want to hold off, that's fine. I just had an idea since she has the power of teleportation but has never used it so she doesn't even know she can do that. I had a situation in mind that she could accidentally use it and freak him out but if you want him to remain ignorant, that's fine too. Just thought I'd throw it out there (:
