    Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawethorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three story townhouses, often with a one to two car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces.

God, she as going to kill him. Miya thought she had been perfectly clear that he wasn’t supposed to let animals into their apartment! And perhaps Arlo hadn’t let the panda in but he had left the window open when she asked him not to. It was cold and winter was coming fast. There was a part of her that was trying to be reasonable, to tell herself that she should have been better and check the apartment windows before leaving, but she had been far too wrapped up in finals to pay attention what was going on at home. Then again, she had hardly spoken to Arlo since he revealed he was a vampire. She hadn’t even managed to tell him about the attack the other night or that a Hunter had been in their apartment!

Yet, her thoughts are entirely distracted as she races through that apartment, broom in hand as she wields it like a hockey stick. Miya avoids the glass shards as carefully as she can, sliding into the kitchen only to spot the little creature trying to sandwich herself between the fridge and the cabinet. Not giving the animal any quarter, she swipes at her aggressively, sending the little panda tumbling from the fridge, the squeal that so breaks from the animal has Miya hesitating only briefly before smashing the bristles against the little creature once more, as if she were nothing more than a hockey puck. As the petite woman chases after her again, she falls heavily to the ground, narrowly missing the shards of glass.

Miya is stunned for only a moment before retrieving that broom once more and pursuing again. A yelp echoes through the apartment, though Miya is far too caught up in her chase to notice, she’s unaware of the bloody paw prints that mark the floor. It’s uncertain if Miya would have stopped the chase, she hadn’t meant for the little animal to hurt herself, and yet, she couldn’t shake the feeling of fear that there was a wild animal in their apartment. It was the thought of rabies and disease that races through her mind in those several moments of pursuit.

Miya finally manages to corner the panda, herding her towards that open bathroom door, her broom moving from side to side so that the little animal would not be able to take off around her. As the creature races into that bathroom, Miya lurches forward and grasps the door handle, slamming it shut, the broom clattering to that ground. She leans against the door, her heart hammering wildly in her chest, her dark locks in disarray, and her lips parted as she gasps for breath. This was far too much excitement for the woman! She would rather be attacked again than have a wild animal in her apartment! She remains there for a split second before hightailing it towards the couch why her messenger bag lay, quickly digging through it to retrieve her pepper spray that she so constantly carried with her.

Really, the woman wasn’t entirely sure what she would do with it. She couldn’t very well use it in the apartment without making it be unlivable. Yet, it made her feel safe. Though, it wasn’t as if the little animal creature had attacked her; even that thought was far away from Miya’s mind, she was convinced that all animals were dangerous. Clenching that canister in hand, she squares her shoulders before marching across the room and placing her hand on Arlo’s door handle. There’s a moment’s hesitation, she had been the one to make the rules that neither of them were to access each other’s rooms. There’s an internal struggle for a split second before she turns that handle and throws the door open, “Arlo?” she asks, remaining on the threshold, her breath still coming in gasps.
