you were the answer to my dreams

That suggestion of dinner sounded almost….delicious, if Sebastian truly considered it. His own body hardly required that sustenance and yet, he still gained that sort of chemical satisfaction from indulging in such delicacies. Not to mention the very prospect of wine. Unfortunately, the vampire hardly had any great desire to move from that place upon his bed. With his body spent and Dorian's form nestled against his own, he had found a sort of blissful contentment, one that surely was meant to be enjoyed for as long as possible. That comment to text his manservant was, perhaps, a happy sort of medium between that desire to ensure his fiance was properly fed and too that want to remain nestled against the fae King's figure. That warm chuckle within the back of Dorian's throat caused his gaze to shift to the King and yet, he hardly hesitated in grasping that phone from the bedside table, even in spite of that distraction of a chocolate covered strawberry that found his lips not but moment's later. He so eagerly accepted that offering, letting the phone fall on the bed beside them only after pressing that send button, the vampire wholly assured that Charles would receive it and act promptly enough.

In the meantime, however, he was more then content to simply observe his lover's newfound adoration for that juicy fruit. Sebastian himself had only just reached for another chocolate when his lover's voice prompted consideration of a decision he had all but forgotten of, despite his own love for such musical melodies. He knew well how decidedly important that song choice was for their own first dance as a married couple. It was that very song which so defined so many, that very song which a whole nation would surely be gossiping over for what it might mean, as utterly ridiculous as he was sure it sounded. Even so, he had hardly expected to hear those first few notes of Chopin come from that tablet, that melody so easily identifiable to the vampire, as too were the memories connected to it. That classical piece, however, was so distinctly them. Regardless of the significant connections that Sebastian held with its composer, they were both decidedly from another time and age, one in which such modern music failed to truly call to. Those classical notes, those equally as age old steps...they were somehow quite near perfect for the pair, enough so that Sebastian readily agreed to that song becoming theirs.

It was the mention of that list crafted by Emma, however, that prompted a hint of dubiousness from the Englishman. He somehow doubted the young woman's more modern tastes would coincide of what he knew of his lover thus far. Even so, it was that stereotypical Pachelbel's Canon in D that so immediately came to mind, that song often at every wedding procession and one he staunchly refused to walk down that aisle with. Those complaints were truly rare from the vampire and yet this singular song was one he seemed all too keen to express his feelings for, informing his fiance that it was certainly beneath them in some fashion. He was hardly surprised to discover Dorian was altogether oblivious to such a song, after all, Sebastian often only shared those pieces with his lover that he particularly enjoyed. "It's the same eight notes played over and over again, it's awful to play." He continued, that pianist within him certainly far stronger in that moment then that role of groom to be.

Thankfully, that assertion that Dorian would see it removed from their list, however, was enough to prompt a sort of acceptance from the Englishman. The vampire was altogether willing to turn his attention back towards that list of songs. He supposed, considering the sheer size of that wedding, that their wedding coordinator was being nothing short of sensible, his own head bobbed ever so slightly in agreement. His own bright blue eyes fluttered towards the King's tablet at that inquiry, eying those names on the list. "Some of them, yes." He admitted, though those classical pieces held his heart, he was certainly not oblivious to those more modern works. After all, they were often on the loud speakers over head at bars or played loudly by djs at the dance clubs he hunted at. He watched as Dorian selected a song from that list, the sound of that young woman's voice filling the room and yet, that particular song caused his eyebrows to furrow ever so slightly. "I am fairly certain this is a breakup song…" The vampire admitted after a moment's consideration, his own head slowly tilting to the side. "Maybe not this one…." The last thing Sebastian wanted was any speak of breaking up, divorce, or death at his wedding. Not with Dorian.

It was that, however, that caused a entirely different thought to cross his mind, the vampire inquiring instead of who was going to be playing their wedding. Frankly, he hardly expected for there to be a Royal Choir, though perhaps he shouldn't have been surprised. His head shook ever so slightly at that inquiry. Despite his involvement in music, Sebastian could hardly think of any true artist he enjoyed enough whom was still alive to be present at such a monumental event. The loud roar of the drums drew his attention towards that ipad, his lover's abrupt start at that boisterous sound prompted a grin upon his features, his nose gingerly nuzzling the King's neck in some sort of wordless and surely unnecessary reassurance that all was well. Still, he was thankful for that change to that acoustic guitar, his own ears often far too sensitive for the sound of those drums. That knock drew his gaze towards the door, the vampire hardly perturbed by his distinct lack of clothing in front of his own manservant, nor did he protest as Dorian drew those blankets up and around them.

That sudden announcement of Charles interest in that song, however, caused a glimpse of inquisitiveness across his own features. Though he certainly knew well that Charles had a life outside of serving himself, after all, Sebastian had a tendency to desire space just as much as he too went through those periods of time where he relied heavily upon his staff. Prior to Dorian, he hadn't stayed in a single place long enough to require the assistance of that line of manservants, at least, not since Charles had been a mere toddler. That comment of that guitarist's death, however, caused Sebastian's gaze to shift wordlessly to that video upon the screen, his own eyebrows furrowed as he eyed those pixelated specs. There was something...familiar about those pixels. He watched as the camera shifted towards that very figure, that recognition all but dawning upon him in those moments. He did know those pixels! He was, truthfully, only half listening to the fae King, at least until his own name was uttered. "Hm?" The vampire inquired, at the brush of Dorian's fingers against his nearly warm skin. That comment of his only friend within the metropolis caused his head to shake ever so slightly. "That is Arlo." He stated, pointing loosely at that screen. "Although he's changed his hair then….and..he doesn't look quite so….punk rock, I think is what they call it." Arlo had told him he'd been apart of a band, but that was very different then seeing the man play live in front of those crowds. "I am sure he'll play for us if we want him to. We can ask when we have him over for dinner." He commented after a moment, already well aware the vampire would surely enjoy getting back at those band members whom had left him after his transformation. Frankly, Sebastian wouldn't mind getting back at them either.
