you were the answer to my dreams

The sheer number of songs on that list they had been given was quite….substantial, to say the very least. His bright blue eyes moved over those pages upon pages of songs as Dorian flicked through them, several of them were easily identifiable by name, hailing from various eras and various genres. Franky, Sebastian was unsure if these songs were even appropriate for such a special event, much less for the ages of those invited to attend such an event. His eyebrows furrowed as Dorian selected the first song from that list. He recognized it, that song played upon so many of those bars and dance clubs he haunted for his own food. He had, truthfully, never listened to the lyrics all that acutely until that very moment, his lover's inquiries only served to prompt a small frown upon his features. Frankly, he was hardly certain such a song qualified as a love song at all, despite the repetition of those words over and over in that chorus. It was that very melody that prompted Sebastian to suggest that, perhaps, that song was quite opposite of a love song, and one that surely did not belong at their wedding. Those sort of songs were the exact opposite of what Sebastian wanted to be played at his own wedding.

He was decidedly thankful for Dorian's decision to delete that song just as he had that other he all but abhorred, as rare as it was. He watched as Dorian selected another song from that list, the loud, overwhelming sound of that drum echoed through that tablet device. That startling to the King's form was unexpected. Though Sebastian himself disliked the sheer volume of that sound, his first priority was always the man in his arms. His nose nuzzled his lover's neck ever so softly, that small display of affection meant to be reassuring. That quiet chuckle brought a warm simper to his lips and though Sebastian said little of that reaction to the sound, he did inquire exactly who was to be playing at their wedding. After all, surely they would have some sort of live performance, wouldn't they? Did royal weddings have 'DJ's'? It seemed so...normal when nothing of the King was. The assurance that the Royal Choir would surely sing those hymns only seemed to further back up his own knowledge of Dorian's more ostentatious habits, not that the English Baron minded such extravagance.

That knock at the door drew the vampire's gaze towards it, his lover's quick movements made every effort to hide their naked forms. He was hardly attentive to Dorian's next selection, his attention focused upon that meal and accompanying wine bottle. It was his manservant's sudden comment that he knew that song that drew those bright blue eyes towards the screen. His eyebrows furrowed, his attention wholly focused on that screen as he stare at that pixel that was the aforementioned lead guitarist. He was rather certain he knew that form, at least, until Dorian's fingers brushed against his skin, drawing his attention back to the present. That name of that guitarist confirmed that which Sebastian had already begun to suspect, the vampire informing his lover that that certainly was the man he had befriended. He certainly looked different in that video, far more 'punk rock' then the man he'd met upon the street looked. It was as Arlo's death had prompted a whole transformation of the man. Though, he supposed that in the immediate aftermath, Sebastian too had changed to just get by.

That inquiry of those piercings prompted a soft chuckle upon his own lips, his head shook ever so slightly. "No, definitely not. Hell, his body might have even healed the holes when he was turned….I'll have to look at his ears next time…." A musing sort of look crossed his features as he tried to remember if he had seen anything on Arlo's ear. Though, to be fair, the first time Sebastian had been subjected to a whole show and the second he'd been high enough that he'd forgotten entire chunks of their evening. It was, however, Dorian's insistence that he rather liked that song that prompted Sebastian's suggestion that, perhaps, they might even ask the guitarist to play it for them. After all, he suspected well enough that Arlo was itching to get back into the world of music. It was something that never quite left, those urges. What a better venue to play then the wedding of the Italian King? Surely that would garner the attention of his old band members. He really needed to invite Arlo to that dinner they had spoken of some time ago. That thought alone weighed heavily enough upon his mind for Sebastian to reach for his cellphone again, allowing his lover to so fret over those glasses and that bottle of wine he had requested.

Gingerly, he took that offered glass, pressing that send button once again on his phone to finally invite his companion to that dinner party. That cellular device was tossed back onto the bed as Sebastian leaned back, sipping on that wine. That sudden gasp from his lover's lips drew his gaze towards his companion, his eyes slowly followed Dorian's finger towards the screen. "You should see the rest of it." He commented simply, the man entirely able to remember the full length of that vampire from that evening. His own gaze hardly drifted from that video and yet, he could hardly help that laughter upon his lips at Dorian's comment of the man's clothing. "They are a bloody atrocity." He admitted, certainly amused by the sheer fashion faux pas that Arlo had so unknowingly committed. Then again, it wasn't as if the man had ever really seemed to have any great hint of taste either. That inquiry of dinner drew his gaze towards that meal for the first time. A glimpse of confused thoughtfulness crossed his features before the vampire shrugged. "Twenty minutes maybe?" He commented, altogether unsure of why the length of time truly mattered. That dramatic sigh caused his eyebrows to raise ever so lightly, his attention wholly focused on the King as Dorian abruptly leaned forward, pressing his lips against Sebastian's own.

Sebastian was all too eager to allow the Monarch to deepen that kiss - those gestures of affection ones he was certain he'd never tire of. It still ended far before the vampire's own liking and yet, those nearly teasing words that left Dorian's lips in the wake of such a thing only prompted a near mischievous glance upon his own features. "I think I can manage." He uttered lowly, the vampire shifting to roll the King beneath him and steal yet another of those wholly ardent kisses. There was, he was sure, nothing better than getting lost in his lover's embrace. Dorian had a unique ability to chase away those dismal thoughts that might have otherwise drowned him and yet, tonight, this was exactly what he needed.
