if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
It wasn't often that Abigail spoke of that country where she had spent the entirety of her remembered life. It wasn't that she didn't like to speak of that little town way up in the mountains, it simply...rarely came up in any day to day conversation. She could hardly boast of that hometown in that fashion that so many tended to. It was remote in every fashion, a town so focused on those simple day to day. That inquiry of pictures caused the woman to pause, her head tilted to the side in contemplation. "At home, yes." She spoke after a moment. After all, in a town of three thousand, there was hardly any need for a cellphone. Any sort of service up there was near abysmal as it was, and so, Abigail had simply never had a need for any sort of electronic device to show off any sort of pictures. That inquiry of cheese, however, caused a grin upon her features. "Of course not! My father is a Wildlife Biologist and my mother worked in Conservation." They were the furthest from farmers as possible, the pair surely some of the richest in that entire city, if only for how poverty-stricken such a third world country was, to begin with. Though they had wealth, they had strived to fit in, to the best of their ability.

Those bright hazel eyes shifted towards her own vampire at that idle comment of her homeland, her head bobbed in an almost enthusiastic gesture. "Uh huh!" She responded, and yet, any further words she might have offered them were suddenly lacking the moment they stepped into the dining room. The simple sophistication of that singular room had an uncanny ability to steal her breath away. The elegance was unlike anything Abigail had ever seen or experienced in all of her life. It was the sort of thing on far distant movie screens! That topic of proper forks ensnared her attention if only for a sheer desire to learn how to be that proper lady she was so presently dressed as. What she didn't anticipate, however, was Arlo's comment on just how little silverware the man actually owned. That gasp of horror that left her lips could hardly be helped and yet, the fashion in which Arlo failed to offer her any sort of concrete answer on the topic of spoons and bowls only further confirmed her suspicions. He was practically a heathen! She turned towards Sebastian, altogether insistent that Arlo's only other friend assisted her in that grand goal to ensure he had a proper set of cutlery. He seemed to take to the idea easily enough, her hands clasping gleefully in front of her, "Yay!" She declared with a grin at Arlo's insistence that he would get proper cutlery if it was truly of this great importance.

Arlo was saved from any further inquisition upon the state of his home, however, by that rather courteous assistance the Italian Monarch provided the young woman with her seat, that courteousness once again blossoming that almost timid nature back to life. It was with a soft tone that she politely thanked the woman for that glass of wine, even if Abigail seemed wholly baffled by the aroma of such a ruby drink. She was tentative in tasting it, only to be rather delighted by the result of it. Her sudden inquiry of what it was, however, seemed to prompt little more than a glimpse of surprise from Prince Charming. That answer she was given only furthered that look of consideration upon her features before she slowly shook her head. "It's tasty, I think." She responded as if she was still unsure of that aftertaste of alcohol that lingered in her mouth. Any further contemplation of such a beverage, however, was easily distracted by those very questions that Dorian held for her, ones that she was altogether happy to oblige him with answers.

That mention of the moon seemed to prompt the fae King to pause and yet, those further wonderings of such a topic hardly had nearly as satisfactory of answers. "Ummm…" She started, her gaze turning upwards in an effort to remember if she had ever asked her father such a thing. "I...don't know….maybe it has something to do with the fact that Red Pandas are nocturnal?" A glimpse of clear thought crossed her features before Abigail gave up with a small shrug. "I can't say. I wonder if other weres experience the same thing...maybe I'll ask Olly next time I see him and let you know!" She nodded quite firmly, entirely certain to find out that very answer that she entirely lacked. That inquiry of a 'pack', however, caused Abigail to merely regard her company with little more than a blank look of her own. "What's a pack?" She inquired, reaching again for that wine glass to so sip on the delicious fruitness inside. Abigail had, after all, spent the entirety of her life only with her family. The supernatural was a rarity where she had lived, except for occasional tourists. So much of her own species was lost to her if only for the fact that she had never bothered to ask, not that her family had ever intended to leave Nepal, to begin with...a lot of never intended things seemed to be happening, now that she thought of it.

Her gaze followed Dorian's own to the pair of vampires near them, the two men clearly engrossed in a conversation of hushed whispering that was near impossible to hear. Still, her own senses were certainly heightened when compared to the average individual, the girl only barely able to make out the word 'curb' and some sort of 'stand town'? Oh well, they seemed to be getting along nicely and that was all that mattered to her. That sudden forewarning that Dorian had a far different sort of question for her, however, caused a hint of curiosity to cross her fair features. She could hardly help that almost sheepish look at the mention of her meeting with Arlo, that night had certainly not been one of her more...elegant moments. "I um….was kind of chasing an apple and literally ran into him." She admitted, her gaze almost purposefully turned towards the wine glass in her hands in a guilty fashion. It was certainly not the most elegant of meetings, she was sure, but it was uniquely them. "Thank you, how did you meet Sebastian?" The girl inquired in return, altogether graciously accepting that compliment that Arlo and herself were suited for one another - after all, that was why they were best friends!

Abigail's head bobbed as Dorian continued on, commenting on the rarity for vampires to seek the company of one another. Her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly at this idea, this too another one of those topics that she was altogether ignorant of. "Why don't they like making vampire friends? Wouldn't that be nice? To have someone who can understand them?" She inquired, her head once again tilting to the side. It would seem that Abigail had perhaps as many questions for Dorian as he had for her. As it was, she was altogether content to raise that glass to her lips, at least, until that inquiry of her dating caused the girl to near freeze in mid-motion. Dating? What?

What?

Whhaattttt?!?!

Suddenly there were no words, no thoughts at all in that young woman's head as if the concept alone had been almost too great for her little mind to handle. It took her a moment to remember that she was indeed holding a glass, the presence of that salad placed before her somehow sparked something with her, her words resulted in little more then a rushed, breathless sentence as those cheeks once again flushed "Ohwe'renotdating.I'veneverhadaboyfriendbefore,Imeanbesidesthatone
boyatmyschool,wedatedforawholedayandthenheranawayfrommebecause
Dhanvisaidshe'dkisshimandsohedatedherforaweek." In that moment, it had seemed wholly sensible for the young woman to inform Dorian of her entire dating history, not that he had ever really asked after it to begin with. Her experience in love was….rather nonexistent, much less dating. Frankly, Abigail didn't even know how to date. Why did he think they were dating? Did she do something dating people did that she wasn't supposed to do?! Oh god. What had she done?! Oh...but look! Salad dressing!

With vastly more interest then she normally would have had, the young woman turned towards that salad, picking up that suddenly announced proper fork to eagerly nibble on those leafy greens. Salad, it seemed, was one thing that altogether delighted her. After all, plants were a staple part of her other half's diet, even if this lacked the bamboo she would have desired. That sudden sound of Arlo's voice drew her gaze upwards, and yet, Abigail merely offered him a rather firm nod, as if to say she too thought it was utterly delicious. And really, it was. What she didn't expect, however, was that sudden fashion in which he leaned closer towards her, his words somehow softer and yet, that singular sound prompted a wave of warmth within her, the thoughts of dating and Arlo still on the forefront of her mind. He certainly was handsome enough to date. Like her own sort of Prince Charming. Not like….Dorian levels of Prince Charming but….why was she thinking about this? Dating Arlo wouldn't have been….bad….why would he even want to date her though!? He was like...Mr. Music Extraordinaire! Her thoughts of dating, however, only seemed to further spiral into a downward mess of feelings she had no right idea of how to process at dinner at the simple compliment he provided her. Much less that she was pretty enough to distract him from even being able to walk straight. "Thank you." Those two words were squeaked out perhaps more pathetically then the usually enthusiastic girl offered him and yet….now Abigail found herself a near mess of non-cohesive thoughts. It was like her whole mind was just turning into goo with all those little considerations of dating Arlo.
